Good morning all. There is coffee and the Yeti is taking breakfast orders. I am in 1st grade (main school) today as I was in 1st grade yesterday (other school). Yesterday was not a day that makes me want to come back to that room, teacher went home ill, but I couldn't find complete plans and she has a combo of personalities in there. Whew, I have three more days scheduled in there and I hope they go better. It's been rainy here lately, the leaves are falling, yesterday was a sweater and boots day, brrr.
Al's new furnace is getting put in Sunday, so on Saturday I am going to go to the history center 10-4, go to the farm and take him to a cookout at his nephew's-they have a fall gathering every year. Sunday is get ready for the furnace festivities. As a result, we don't have to do a wood weekend. Next week I am off on Monday, Tues I have HCenter meeting, Wed is dentist and book club, Thurs is off so far and Fri is Music. It'll be busy. Better finish getting ready to go in. It's cloudy today with some rain on the way tonight & tomorrow morning. I'm waiting for the cable company to come & check my phone & TV service. Having problems with both.
My appt. at the oral surgeon yesterday wasn't a good visit. More gum surgery was done. I've been going to him all this year. Waiting for the insurance companies to settle. They won't be paying much. He doesn't participate in the two insurances I have. I have a feeling it will be around a $3,000 bill OUCH

I am on the porch drinking coffee. It is raining and a little cool. But, the rain is so refreshing.
Am also cooking some sausage and eggs.
Hope all of you are doing well.
Am working on the same afghan I started before I went to Florida in July. It keeps my hands busy.
No news here so I will wish you all a really good day.

Good morning
Mandy and I have been to the pet area and home. On my third cup of coffee and the sheets are in the washer. Not much more than that planned for the day. Just meals and dishes will be my activity for the day.
I'm out of curved quilting pins so I had to order some. And last night I found that my Roku was really hot. So I had to order a fan to keep the area/cabinet cool for all the units under the tv. I leave the cabinet doors open but it is on an outside wall, what isn't, and it still gets too warm under there. Amazon had the fan I need marked half price, making it more than affordable. But I still needed an extension for the USB cable to reach an outlet. That wasn't much money either. Then I got a notice from them that my eye vitamins are $10 off so I ordered them too. I really like it when I can get good prices on items I need. Free shipping and all will be here by Wednesday. Finally a win for Cindy. 
Oh nuts, I just remembered I need softener salt. I better get that today before I forget again. I hate hard water.

Good morning, the rain has gone after being here all day yesterday. I think there is a chance of it again sometime this afternoon. Our temps have been cooling down. I'm fighting with keeping the furnace off!! LOL Right now it's a beautiful sunny day. I haven't seen the hummingbird since Sunday so I think I'm going to take the feeder down. The bees have been enjoying it. LOL I also need to fill the finch feeder. The 3 girls will be coming tonight. One just got back from Hawaii so we can hear about her trip, also a family member gave me information (a box full) about my MIL and I think the girls will enjoy going through that too. Hoping to have a fun evening.
LAURIE You're so busy, you make me tired. LOL
ICOOK Maybe the cable people will get everything working better than ever. I hope there's no charge for you. Ouch...the dentist bill. The important thing is your health and teeth are a big part of it too.
CAROLYN The quilt will get done sooner or later, probably no hurry. I try to remember than when I knit. But my knitting is very limited and nothing big or detailed.
MAMMA You found some good deals online. I'm guessing you have Prime with Amazon. I've seen them advertising they're having big sales I think this coming week and it's on big items???

Good morning grannies, a change in the weather! Feels like Fall out there. Temp is 56 a cloudy start to the day it will be 70 this afternoon. Looks like we had a little shower last night along with the change in temps! A sweatshirt morning for sure!
Laurie sounds like a busy school time for you not to mention the busy weekend also! So glad the furnace situation will soon be taken care of and Al will be cozy and warm when the snow comes down! What good kids you are take care of him.
I hope the TV gets repaired with no cost to you. Sorry the dental thing didn't go ad planned any more surgery was needed! Yikes! Nothing is cheap!

Mamma, sales are always good things to take advantage of so glad you found some needed things at this one.
A nice surprise this morning when dd announced she was making french toast and would I like some. Mindless question..of course I would like some! She came back bearing a plate of french toast with strawberry syrup topped with marshmallows all melting on the top, sausage on the side!I could skip lunch but I probably won't.
Debbie thanks for that UtI preventive tip! I'll remember that one. The Dr suggested cranberry juice since it has been proven to be helpful. I didn't like drinking that so I now thak the cranberry capsules. Seems some are more prone to the UTI than others and I seem to one of those. Every couple of years I get an infection. I know I need to drink more water and I have a large qt. cup with ice water sitting near by and surprised how much more I drink.
Must be time to do a little pick up and put away of stuff that seems to pile up.

Elle, no I don't have Prime with Amazon, but my order was over $35 so shipping was free.
My neighbor,Mike, came over this morning and helped me put up the screen on the French doors. Now I can have that door at least part way open and have a screen to keep most of the bugs and critters out of the house. It just goes on with super sticky backed velcro so it didn’t take us long to do. Mandy already figured out how to get out that door. The magnets went right back into place to close. I'm so thrilled to get some cross ventilation when it’s nice. We are in for some pretty warm days once again, but in the morning it’s so nice to have everything open..

No more UTI issues since I started taking cranberry supplements, a high dosage too. Plus I drink a lot of water. In the winter I have a hard time getting enough water but like Grammy, I always have a big water thermos with ice and water right by me. That really helps with the water consumption.
Laurie, I hope that your class is much better today. Yipppeee, no wood cutting today.
IC< so sorry to hear you have more gum surgery to not look forward to. I have no dental insurance so I am very pleased to be able to go to Mexico for affordable dental work.
Carolyn, crocheting does keep your hands busy and mind as well. Good luck with your project.
Grammy our temperatures are going up while yours are going down. I'm looking forward to the 70 and 80's. But won't see that until the end of October. The 90's and 100's are getting mighty old.  OMG, your breakfast sounded wonderful. I'm sure you enjoyed it a lot.
I better get to putting clean sheets on the bed.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's chilly here too! Just 50 and it's 11:15. It was 46 when I went by the drive in bank. I've had a busy morning already - - Went to the hospital and had Xray's taken of my hip to send to Rochester, then a blood draw for LaCrosse, then went to the drugstore to see if they had gotten the scrip for a walker - and no, they didn't, but they don't accept Medicare for them, so no need to get it. He called the other drug store to see if they did and they only did the basic one without the seat. HE gave me the phone number of a medical supply store in the town that I graduated from and go to the dentist now, to call and check with them. I think I will do a little looking here too, as if I need to pay for it, maybe Amazon or some other places would be a better deal.
I made chili yesterday and that tasted good last night and looking forward to more tonight - goes good in this chili weather.
Laurie, are you kids installing the furnace for Al? wondered when you were getting it on Sunday. I didn't think many service guys would work then. Good luck with that classroom that will be keeping you on your toes.
IC, sorry you needed more work - about those 2 insurances that he does not accept, he should be able to help you submit a claim that would be paid directly to you and then you could pay him. If he is unwilling to help you there should be volunteer's that help you with insurance problems. Here they are called SHIP - Senior Health Insurance, and I don't remember what the P is right now. I thought that was a nation wide program, but I could be wrong on that.
I'm still drinking coffee too, Carolyn, since I had to leave with just one cup - now I can have the second!
Mamma, you had luck finding all you need with Amazon. You are a good customer for them. I have thought of one of those screens for my kitchen door going to the garage, but then deceided I would have to have the garage open, any time I wanted to use it.
Ellie, I'm sure you and the girls will have lots to talk and laugh about with the box of old pictures and papers. You will also enjoy hearing about DD's trip.
Grammy, lucky to have a great breakfast drop off - - Sure sounded good to me.
Well, I had better get a move on - at least get my clothes changed. I am really tired again, since there was little sleep again last night. I was up to go to LGR just minutes before 4, and hadn't slept then yet and didn't for a long time afterwards. Of course when the alarm was going off, I wanted to stay there. I have a low grade headache - either lack of sleep, or from being polked, proded, and stuck!

Good afternoon to all. It is a chilly one here and a bit cloudy now, although it was sunny earlier. I did walk outside this morning and it was quite cool when I started out.
It looks like we will be here into next week now. Mike has been called to go inspect some welding that needs to be done in another town north of here and will do that on Monday and then come back here and hopefully finish up the job by the end of the week. He thought they wouldn't want him to stay for the punch list things (a relatively short list), but they want him to, so we will take the salary and per diem and ride it as long as we can. We both thought he would likely be done today, though, and I have everything except the fridge boxed up and ready to load. In fact, some of it is loaded in my car as we were going to take both vehicles home. That plan has changed though, with him working next week, so we will unload my car into his truck when he gets home, I will have supper ready and as soon as we can we will head home. We will then bring the rental truck and our enclosed trailer back here on Sunday to load up when we do get the word to go home.
It will be an even busier weekend than usual. DD#1 left this afternoon to attend a Women of Joy church conference in Branson for the weekend. DSIL#1 has an open house at State Tech where he heads the nuclear energy department and then needs to travel to the funeral of a friend and mentor from his first job out of college. So, DSIL is bringing Eli and Trinity to us after we get home tonight and they will be spending the night. He will keep Drew and get him to the bus at 7:45 tomorrow morning to travel to Columbia, MO, for a cross country meet. Mike and Eli will go to Columbia to watch him run at 11:00 a.m. That should be a real mess, and Mike dislikes crowds, but hopefully all the crowds expected in Columbia for the Missouri versus LSU game will be in the stadium by then and there won't be too much traffic and crowding around the cross country meet location--but, there will be lots of schools involved in that, so it could also be a big crowd. In the meantime, Trinity and I are going to Emmett's football game. That will be a surprise for Amelia and Josie Mae who love their cousin (and vice versa) and will give them someone to play with while brother plays football--DD#2 might even get to watch the game rather than try to keep the two girls entertained--LOL. Then, I am taking all the girls back home with me while DD#2 and DSIL#2 work the gate and concession stand for the rest of the day's football games at the stadium. DH and Eli will bring Drew back home after he gets done and they have a bite of lunch and I will figure out something for supper for everyone, including DD#2, DSIL#2, and Emmett who will be coming out to pick up the girls. I think I may have enough hamburger patties in the fridge to just do burgers on the grill, maybe even the flat-top grill, and round things out from there. I picked out a big, pizza-sized decorated chocolate chip cookie on clearance at the grocery store here today as well as an apple crumb cake so that will take care of dessert. It's just hard remembering what I have at home and getting things together when I won't be home until after 8 tonight, will be getting company soon after that and then will be gone most of the day tomorrow! Glad they want to be around Maw Maw and Paw Paw, though.
Then, Sunday, we will leave shortly after noon to head this way so we can get the trailer up here and get it parked in one of the side parking lots here. Calgon, take me away, I'm already tired--LOL.

It's finally Friday and tomorrow starts vacation with the sisters. Can't wait to just be away and relax...if that's possible.
Went to town to pick up Ted and it is becoming quite a madhouse. Tomorrow is the first weekend of the Fall Foliage Festival. I used to like going in but it is so crowded it isn't fun anymore. Well, not to me with being slow and older.
I wrapped the last of the Christmas gifts today and made a list of who needs something yet. DD#2 and I said we would be done shopping by November 20. I'm doing a pretty good job. I have cut down so that helps, next year will be a further cut back. I love giving so it kind of breaks my heart, but things are getting so bad out in the world, it's just something that I'll have to do. Anyway, when I get back from vacation, I need to get two projects done. DD#1's sofa quilt and my stick trees. I've got all the parts for DGS's. I hope it turns out cute and that he likes it.
When I get back, I'll also have a girly girl's doctor appointment. I love this lady but not looking forward to the exam. Sigh!
Made some beanless chili for supper and rice is done now too. That will be my meal. DH just had two tomato sandwiches so not sure he will want any of it. No matter, he will eat it tomorrow.
Guess I should go double check the suitcase and then get my shower. All I'll need to do in the morning is get dressed and fix my hair (which is a mess to work with, but oh well) and then be on the road. Meeting up with the sisters at oldest sister's place and youngest sister will do the driving. I just get to sit and enjoy the ride for once. I like that.

Change in plans, I work Thursday now. We aren't installing the furnace, my brother's BIL is, that's why it's a Sunday thing. Each of the three of us are pitching in a bit of $ to help with it. Now, I've got to make a pitstop before I go to the HCenter. Today was a better day, if that other room has a repeat, I'll just refuse to be in there.

Hi Everyone....
Had the kids today and that's always a busy, but fun time. Teddy changes from week to week. He's getting so good at telling us what he wants with little sentences. Tomorrow is his birthday party. There will be several kids there from DD's friends.
I hope I feel better tomorrow as I've been battling a cold all week. It seems to be winding down but still quite stuffy.
