A change in the weather today. A beautiful sunrise followed by some clouds then a bit of sun now back to cloud. The clouds will prob win as rain is expected this afternoon temp is 63 and only going to low 70s today.
CJ this one got in the door first so I responded here. enjoy the swing while you can soon coffee will be an indoor thing!
IC sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you. Hope the dentist has only good news for you
Same old thing here just sittin' and knittin' not much else for me to do. I have been walking 15 min on the treadmill, yesterday I couldn't do that! My legs hurt too much. Today I feel fine to give it another try.
DGD brought me a beautiful hydrangea from my garden. I know they can change color usually pink or blue. This one is sort of a dusty lavender, such a pretty color. There are 3 bushes and they have alway been pink! The can change according to the PH of the soil but lavender?
Nothing else new here just a ho hum day

Good Morning....
Going to be a rainy, cloudy day. Temps will start dropping. I guess fall is finally here weather wise.
I had my coffee on the swing before the rain starts. So I should be good for the day...LOL
I moved my post here. I didn't have much to say anyway.
Not much happening yet. I'll see what comes along. Have a great day..........

Good morning to all. It is a rainy one here and I think we may have gotten some rain overnight at home--I sure hope so. We heard when we were home this past weekend that the measurable rainfall there during the month of September was 1/2 inch! No wonder we are dry--especially since the months prior saw even less than that amount of rain per month! With the rain, I went to the apartment complex's fitness room and did 40 minutes on the recumbent bike and 30 minutes on the elliptical rather than my usual morning walk.
I got a haircut day before yesterday and boy is it short--but, it will grow, I guess and I won't have to get one right away once we get back home. Just 10 minutes before time for my cut, I got a phone call that the stylist I had been using here, and we had just gotten used to each other, was not feeling well and couldn't keep my appointment, so would I like to reschedule or take another stylist? I didn't know if I would be able to get in again before we leave if I didn't keep the appointment, so I went. The new stylist was so sweet and the haircut is good, just short. I get a little bit of a shock every time I pass a mirror and I know it is going to be a shock when I wash it as it will feel really short then. I only wash my hair every third day, which I never thought would be possible. When I was young, I washed my hair every day as it had a tendency to be oily, then went to every other day for most of my adult life. But, now, my hair tends toward dry rather than oily and it works much better for styling if I have product build-up in it!
Grammy, my hydrangeas are kind of lavender this year, too. Did you know if you put a nail in the soil around hydrangea bush, you can change the colors of the blooms? Mine was a pink one and years ago I put a nail in the ground around it and I had blue blooms then! Maybe that's why I have lavender ones now--it is confused! It has to be an ungalvanized nail--one that will rust and that rust causes the chemical reaction that, in turn, causes the blooms of the plant to change colors.
Another tip I have been meaning to pass along--on a completely different subject. I know we have been talking about UTIs in we older ladies and my mom suffered with them for sure. She got good advice from a nurse, though, that I have never forgotten and try to practice myself. Once you go pee, wait a few seconds and you will likely go a bit more. The nurse told Mom that most mature bladders don't empty completely and that urine that remains in the bladder is more likely to become a source of infection. I have found that I really can go a bit more if I just wait a bit longer before "finishing my business." Just a tip that I try to practice.
Mike called earlier this morning and tomorrow may be his last day. If not, then for sure Monday or Tuesday of next week. I just walked up to the office and got permission to park our enclosed trailer at a certain spot in the parking lot and we will bring the trailer back with us on Sunday. I have most everything packed up and we should be able to load our things pretty quickly--basically just our mattress, box springs and bedframe, a small dining table and two chairs, a couple of side tables, two recliners, and our big TV along with a couple of lamps, along with a few boxes although we will take some of those home with us tomorrow night.
IC, good news about the lower cable bill!
CJ, I'm sending rain your way! Enjoy your swing time!
Love to all, wishing you a great day.

Good morning, a cloudy, rain predicted kind of day. I probably will stay home today. Yesterday was coffee day. So there's nothing exciting going on her right now. I have sheets in the dryer and I will force myself into getting some cleaning done. But there's always tomorrow, right? LOL
ICOOK Well it's nice they lowered our Cable bill! that always helps. Here's hoping good news from the dentist!! Rain is to start this afternoon here.
GRAMMY I have a hydrangea bush too, it's a light pink and white. The flowers are starting to die now but it is one beautiful bush when it blooms. Do you add anything to the soil? Do you trim yours down? I haven't added anything to the soil but trim it down every year.
CJ There's something special and relaxing about coffee outside and on the swing or deck. I haven't done that as often as I could have this year.
DEBBIE I also practice the advice the nurse shared with you. Thank God I have never had a UTI. I'm on water pillssssss so I go often. Exciting that you're ready to pack up and be home again for the winter months. Will Mike be working next year? Enjoy your day.
The mail should be here so I'll check the mailbox, then the sheets are dry so I'll get the bed made now.

Good Morning Ladies - - - A nice morning again today - - a bit cooler, but nice sunshine. I will enjoy every day of sunshine that we can get. Last night my arm hurt so much that I finally went and took a pain pill that I had tucked aside to send to the time when they accept unused-unwanted drugs and missed the date for that recall. I know they are old ,but seemed to work and I was feeling better by the time I went to bed and slept good. CJ, enjoy as much swing time as you can, as we all know those days are limited now. IC, glad you got your TV bill lowered and I hope they don't hit you up too much for the service call. Good luck with the OS today. Grammy, enjoy your hydrangea - - they make me think about my mom. She died over Labor day weekend, and they had a hard time getting the flowers in, so they had a bush of those and used a lot of them in her funeral flower and they were just beautiful. One year when I was at the bank, another gal and I went and picked those blossoms and let them dry and then we decorated our Christmas tree with them for the fantasy..
Debbie, exciting now that you can see the end and head home again. It seems like whenever I am in the little girls room, that as I reach for the tissue, I start to go again. I have never had a UTI either, or at least as far as I know, and I'm thinking that you would know that. Ellie, yes, clean if you like, and if not, it sure will be waiting for you tomorrow. Glad you had a good coffee day. Nothing exciting happening here either!

Good morning It's break time. I've gotten the floors dust mopped and scrubbed, rugs shook out and now to rest and then dust. This place doesn't have much for flat surfaces so not much dusting to do. I also do the door frames and such when I dust. One of these days I need to clean the top of the cabinets where I have my small collection of angels that made it through our inferno. Mark got me a couple hand carved eagles last year and they need some cleaning as well. Climbing to clean is not my favorite thing to do.
Sunny, breezy and warming up quickly. I'm so glad I got the rugs and floors done while it was still a comfortable temp. I like to leave the doors and windows open now for as long as I can.
Break is about done, next I'll sweep the porch. I'll do the dusting when I close the doors and windows.

It is 71 now but low 60’s earlier. I have the doors open and there is a breeze. Fall is here. The leaves are starting to fall. I ordered a nice tube pan and when it got here I made a pound cake. I am supposed to go to my cousins Sunday. I will take some of the cake. Love sharing. I am babying my knee. For now. I had intended to go out today but felt off kilter when I got up.I changed my font. I am still learning this IPad. Mamma, maybe you can share some of your energy. IC, sure hope no more surgeries for you. Debbie, I know you will be baking a lot soon, the holidays are nearly here. Hope everyone is well. BBL

It definitely feels like fall today. I started out in shorts and by afternoon, the air was much much cooler and rain. So the jeans were put on. It will be quite chilly tomorrow.
I'm making comfort food.....sliced potatoes, onion, sliced carrots and chopped cabbage and smoked sausage in a fry pan. And I had half of an acorn squash that is in the oven. Smells good already.
DH and his friend (my best friend's husband) are planning a camping trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan. The friend has a camper van that sleeps two, with a small bathroom and shower. DH is doing all the cooking...so he's been planning the meals and went grocery shopping today. They will leave Sunday and be gone all week. This is the couple we flew out to see in AZ last winter. I'm planning to have the game gals over for lunch and games on Monday. I'm sure I'll get together with my mom for lunch or dinner one day, too.
Debbie...bet you are anxious to get home. Is this Mike's last job and will he be retiring then?
I have often thought about getting a hydrangea. They are so pretty...but so far I don't know where I would put it.

I'll have a bill around $3,000 They are working on the insurance claims. Christina did a light cleaning today. After my appt. we went to Shop Rite. Lots of good specials. I'm stocking up for winter
