Another warm day. Cloudy right now. Doing a load of laundry today. Still working on dusting the hard to reach places. Don't do that every week.

Good Morning....
Another beautiful day. I will keep enjoying them as long as I can. Soon it will be cold and snowy.
Today is my grandson, Teddy's 2nd birthday. We will be celebrating him on Saturday. And, also, my DS, Tim's, 43rd birthday. They are birthday buddies.
Lauriet...I was so saddened to read that your furbaby has crossed the rainbow bridge. I know how hard it is....hugs to you.
Yes, we sure did have fun times at the GN meets. And, yes, it was a trip to Meijer to get the necessities that MJ forgot..LOL I was along for that car ride  .
Well...I think I'm getting a cold. Been coughing and sneezing. Not a good thing.

Goodmorning grannies, it's another bright sunshiney morning with temp heading for the low 80s again but the cool down begins tomorrow with rain in the picture.
IC, sorry I got the wrong meeting place for the wundie run but I'm old and forgetful!
Laurie I was sorry to hear about the loss of your furry friend. I know she will be missed.
CJ I would like to wish the birthday boy a Happy Birthday and tell him he is a fortunate little boy to have you and dh be a big part of his life.
Not much going on here today. I did hear little footsteps overhead, wondering if one more girl is getting covid! Soraya and her mom are the only ones still standing.
I need to get up and dust a few of those high places that the cleaning girl can't reach and few other things I'd rather do myself. They are home schooled but this is co op day. Wed morning several home schooled kids are together to do group things and have some social time with the others. All of the activities are school related music, art, gym. science experiment and several other things to choose from.

Laurie, I was so sad to read that your precious furbaby crossed rainbow bridge. We all know how hard that is and send you lots of hugs. {{{BIG HUGS}}}
Today I'll be making a call to my golf cart tech and see if my brake light pad is in. Or tell them I expect my money back. They have a good reputation so I am really not anticipating any trouble but one never knows. And I trust no one. I also need to take my car in to have air put in one of the tires. A light came on indicating low tire pressure. With the high to low temps tire pressure does change. I am also expecting my snap on screen door to come today. With luck Mike will have time to help me hang the screen. Last night I changed the ceiling bulbs myself. I was really proud to have figured it out.....thanks to a YouTube video. And my hand fit in the hole without completely taking off the ring. That made it much easier. And my step stool was just high enough to reach. The bulbs aren't bright enough but they will do until I can find Bright White and not just daylight. Soft light was in there before and that light was no better on than off.
CJ, Teddy's birthday card is so cute. Nice work. Take care so the cold doesn't knock you down.
Pinning the quilt together is going to take longer than I thought. The pins are so darn dull they are hard to work with and get through one layer of fabric let along three. So much stuff made now days is just garbage, and that is putting it nicely. Grrrrrr.
Today Annie has to come out and get the floors done, I've done the edges now she can do the majority. No laundry today, I'm caught up until I change sheets on Friday.

Hello! I missed morning getting here - not by much, but never the less it is past noon now. I did sleep in today - seems like after having a couple of sleepless nights, I need to catch up again. Could have stayed there longer, but it was way past time to be up and rolling, even if I don't have much to do today. Then I had a nice long phone call from a friend.
The paper will come today, so won't be a productive afternoon. Last night, I sliced up one of the extra baked potato's I did the day before and then fried it with some onion and pieces of the pork, also from the day before, and had a hash! It was good, and I have 1 more baked potato and just enough meat to do it again tonight or else I could have a small cold pork sandwich, which I also like. Thinking the hash like thing will likely win out.
IC, steady wins the race, so just keep getting at those hard to reach places.
CJ, Happy Birthday to your boys. Teddy will be so fun to watch on Sat. Yes, we will keep enjoying these nice days just as long as we can.
Grammy, I assume that DD & DSIL are better now too, and just DGD's family down & out. I also assume the fun gathering this morning didn't happen either. Take care.
Mamma, hope you get the golf cart fixed okay and the air in your tires. There's no reason you need to hurry with your quilt - just enjoy having it out and putting in a pin now and then.

I have been looking for a different recipe for a pound cake. The one I use calls for 8 eggs. And, it is delicious but I wanted one with less ingredients. I ordered a new tube pan. The recipe I found said it is a Kentucky blue ribbon winner, so we will see. They make good gifts. Dr. did X rays and my knee has arthritis pretty bad. He said the bakers cysts are caused from a under lying problem. Mine, being the arthritis. So, yes. I need knee surgery. He said he wouldn’t tell me to have it, that I would know when to do it. And it will get worse.  So, he gave me a injection and new medication. I have a appointment in January. I am scared of the medicine. 😡 Bad side effects. Laurie, sorry about your puppy. My DD lost a dog while I was there. It is sad. I have a few outings to do this month. Hope my knee holds up. One of my great grandsons is turning 15 today. My is time ever flying by. Think I will try the cake. I have everything on hand except maybe not enough sugar. May have to wait. Dont forget about me….I always read each post. |

Good afternoon to all. It is cloudy here and rain is predicted this evening. I am hoping we are getting rain at home. In the 80s again today, but cooler starting tomorrow--I am ready!
Laurie, a big ol' sympathetic hug to you, my friend. I know you, the Yeti, both sons, DDIL, the Nugget and Mrs. Red Kravitz will be missing your canine buddy for sure.
I've packed up everything I can until we find out the exact move date, but regardless it will likely be sometime next week. The fencing contractor, which is all that is going on at the jobsite now, is hoping to be done this week, but Mike thinks it will be early next week. He is the boss on the job now--he's the only inspector left--LOL! This will be the third job he has closed out by himself; that makes me proud that they are aware of his trustworthiness and integrity to be there and make sure everything is done right to finish out.
Not too much else to report, which is nice as I checked out too many library books and hope to read at least one or two of them before we leave here. My walk and my bike ride both got done early this morning and it will be apple fritter French toast that I made earlier, along with link sausage for supper tonight.

Home for the night, supper has happened, the dishwasher and dryer are going and I'm all squeaky clean too. So far, I am off tomorrow, I'd like it to stay that way.
Mrs. Red Kravitz and the Nugget are together outside, happy as usual and it is super quiet in here. I'll see you in the morning.
