Good Morning...
Bright sunshine this morning. The temps will go to around 80.
We both have dentist appointments this morning. Then I'll need to go to Kroger for a few things.
Coffee is ready...help yourselves.
Not much happening yet, so I'll wish everyone a great day.........

Goodmorning grannies, what a beautiful morning it is. Sunshine and blue skies, ho clouds in sight as summer tries to hang on a few more days before the door closes. I think my time with covid is over,at least,I hope so! I feel good this morning just a cough that hangs on. I have an appointment with the eye Dr tomorrow so I hope the cough is much better by then. I wouldn't like to cough when he sticks the needle in my eye! CDC says 5 days isolation and then 5 days wearing mask. I should be Ok for the Dr visit. I have spent a lot of time sleeping so I should be rested....to do what? At this age there isn't much I can do so I do a little job then sit and read some more. What a boring life it can be. I did get the knitting out again and start working on the unfinished prayer shawl. I'm sure the one that's it's taken to will enjoy the shawl and the visit from the ladies who deliver it. We have several ladies in nursing homes and homebound.
CJ hope the dentist has only good things to say to each of you today. Did your day start with coffee on the swing?
I did see chef passing by my door and he should be working! He wasn't feeling very good yesterday wonder if covid got to him?? If so only two more to go or do we start over?

Good morning another beautiful morning, and a couple degrees warmer this afternoon than yesterday. The rest of the week it will be about 20 degrees warmer, but at least the evenings and morning will be nice and cool.
This morning I'm heading back to get my haircut done correctly. It's been three days and I can not get it to lay like it should. It's just too long on the top and sides. I hate having to go back, but I paid for a cut that isn't right and looks awful to me. So it needs to be fixed or I'll need another cut in one week.
My property tax came in the mail Saturday. What a nice surprise, they went down. Of course all I own is the home and not the land so it's not much to begin with. The way things are going up in price, I was happy to see this go down.
So far my arm is good so I hope to start pinning the quilt together. It will take a couple days to get it done, but I have no choice but to go slow. That is so hard for me to do.
Wishing all a wonderful day.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a beautiful day here in my corner of the world! 69 and sunny and will be another warm one. Like Grammy, I am not ready to give up on summer either. Nothing special in my plans for the day - I never did nap yesterday - I shut my eye's for about 10 minutes and thought this just isn't going to turn into a nap - - I was even up later than usual, as I started to read after I got in bed and it was 12:30 when the light went out, but I did sleep pretty good. CJ, not the way I like to start the day, but those teeth will be happy to be all polished up and shinning. Hope the day goes well after that is taken care of. Grammy, it seems like people at your house are taking turns and dropping like fly's - - Glad that you are feeling better at last, and good luck at your appointment - that would not be a good time to need to cough. You have earned your sit down time, so don't ever feel guilty when you are resting - you still hold your own around the house. Mamma, hope the HC works out better - - - When I get one I am not especially happy with there is nothing to do but wait for it to grow out - - she gets a little clipper happy sometimes! Nice for you and Mandy to drive around the park and see what's going on. Nice to have those cooler temps to feel like getting outside.

Good morning everyone. There is still some coffee there if you want some. I started this earlier and got distracted and the Yeti came in (going somewhere) and the neighbor came over (to get her mail.) See my thought patterns?
We went to Bingo Friday night, no winners, but saw some relatives of he Yeti's. I then overslept Saturday, but got to the center in time. I had to make a Walmart stop on the way. for Al and since I was there I got distilled water for the Yeti too and some things that I can't get at Aldi's. We had many many visitors at the center-a number of donations too. Got those catalogued and out on display and visited with the guests. A "founding" family donated a camera from the late 1800s along with glass plate negatives, etc.=very cool, then another lady brought in some other things and finally I took care of the stuff that'd come in the day before. Then off to the farm and church. Sunday morning I asked if he wanted to go for a ride and he was out of his chair so fast! We went to my brother's to see what they've done to the house/garage/yard. I'm going to make a point of getting out somewhere besides just church with him. Back to the house with a container of cookies and then we hung out and had lunch and watched a couple of movies. He took a few snoozes, I left around 4:30. It does my heart and head and soul good to be there, I'm doing a repeat this weekend. One of the churches in his parish is doing a polka mass on Sunday, I told him I'd go with, so we'll see, his choice.
I got home to Mrs. Brown Kravitz being puny, she's not bouncing back like we'd hoped, so hard o see. Now she's trying to lay on her bed and the robo-vac which is her arch nemesis, keeps going under it~It's a raised cot bed. Not eating well, slow moving, so sad to see her like this.
The Yeti's great-niece was in an ATV accident, compound fracture of her arm and LOTS of road rash, I'm assuming no helmet from what I've gleaned. So, they decided to take photos and share them in a group chat. Why? Just why? #1 was in an accident like that just before 5th grade, hit a tree with no helmet and concussion and broken orbit as well as road rash. Someone, who may have given birth to the Yeti, took pics. #1 was devastated by that. When he heard about this accident and someone sent him the photos he was just ticked! I am too and will point it out. The Yeti told me it was just x-rays of before and then after surgery and one in the hospital. I won't even look at them. So ridiculous. There, off my soapbox for the day. I am trying so hard to look on the bright side of stuff and have my glass half full, but dang! Maybe I just need a kick in the pants?!

Haircut has to wait until tomorrow. They changed my appointment after I got there. Grrrrr. Oh well a friend of ours called and asked if I wanted to go breakfast. So that worked out well after all. Free breakfast and someone to talk to besides Mandy.
CJ, good luck at the dentist.
Jane, clipper happy wasn't the problem. My hair grows fast, so shorter isn't a problem for long. She didn't cut it short enough and it is too long to lay right. I wish I could stay up later or take a longer nap. But Mandy has to go out in the morning.
Grammy, hope that the nasty virus doesn't go round and round.
Laurie, so sorry to hear that Mrs. Brown Kravitz is not feeling well. {{{HUGS}}}

I should clarify, #1 had taken helmet off to go to the 'loo and didn't get to put it back on, they knew "no helmets, no ride."

It's warming up but such a beautiful, sunny day. I hope I won't need to turn the a/c on as it's to cool down later in the week. I stayed up and watched the KC game last night. That's the latest I've stayed up for a long time but it turned out my team won....but a last minute win and not a well played game. My friend (former co-worker) texted me a picture of her and her face was bruised and black and blue. She also has a broken knee cap. I bought some flowers for her and will be leaving soon to cheer her up. I also picked up a prescription I needed. That's pretty much my day. I hope y'all have a good, healthy and blessed day.

Good afternoon to all. It is a beautiful day here in IL. I just received a message that the Christmas t-shirts I ordered for the family Christmas getaway were delivered today--earlier than expected, so I have asked the across the road neighbor or his wife to please put them inside the garage on the deep freezer for me as we won't be home until Friday. This is the couple that the guy mows our yard when we are on a job and they are such wonderful people. I told her in my message that I hope she knows how much they are appreciated.
We got home Friday night about 7:00. On Saturday, we made it to all of Drew's cross country meet (both the high school boys and his middle school boys' team finished first and Drew had a PR (personal record) on a very hard course--through the woods, lots of hills, a little over 2 miles. I could have walked it, but no way could I have run it! Unfortunately, the cross country meet's running order got changed and Drew's middle school boys' team didn't run until last so we only made the last five minutes of Emmett's football game, but we did get there, at least. DMIL was with us and she enjoyed seeing all the activities and we took good care of her, making sure she had a seat and was out of the sun, dropped her off and picked her up so she had to do as little walking as possible, etc. We all had lunch together afterward and when we saw her in church on Sunday she commented again on how much she had enjoyed the day and getting to see the great grands in their activities. We were pooped when we got home and didn't get hardly anything on our to-do list done until after church on Sunday before we headed back.
Mike got some more bushes trimmed in the front of the house, I cleaned out a few more drawers and dust mopped the hardwood floors. Got back up here about 7:30 last night. Mike thinks by sometime next week the job will be done and we are both more than ready. Still holding out hope that we will get a favorable decision about the last few weeks of our lease, but it is what it is. Either way, we are going home when the job is done!
So sorry about Mrs. Brown Kravitz, Laurie. Very cool things donated to the history center, for sure! Elle, did I miss what happened to your friend? Grammy, glad to hear you are feeling better--I guess it's best if everyone gets it over with all at the same time--I remember my mom would purposely expose us to chicken pox and other things if any of us three kids had it, she figured we might as well all get it and get it over with. Jane, what kind of books do you like to read? I'm kind on a pattern of reading books about either WWI or WWII right now. Mama, I never heard of being able to go back to have a haircut redone at no charge! CJ, hope you and DH both got a "no cavities" report at the dentist.
Time to get one of the too many library books I picked out read, I've done both my walk and my bike riding and I intend to take it easy this afternoon--well I do have to fix supper, but that will be breaded pork chops in the oven, corn on the cob, another veggie, and we'll try the Ozark Apple Cake I made last week that I have stored in the fridge to keep fresh.
Wishing all a great day and a wonderful week!

This morning Steve Keith sent me a text asking if I wanted to go out for breakfast. He worked at Holt’s where Mark was in MN. He checks on me now and then. He also gave me some money to help me out right after Mark passed. He is JUST a friend of ours. He and Mark used to do things together here too. Anyway it felt good to share a meal with someone who knows how close Mark and I were. And we could share some stories. We both shed a few tears remembering but it was a nice remembering.
Now I have a load of laundry going. I couldn’t get my haircut fixed today but will tomorrow morning. I made an appointment for 9.
Today is the last nice day for awhile. We will be back into the upper 90’s and even 102 for a couple says the next few weeks. But at least the nights and mornings are cool.
Steve was telling me of a senior exercise class at the Am Vets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at one. It’s all chair exercises, low impact and only costs $3. She works on strengthening muscles and balance. All that I need. Some things I won’t be able to do due to my arms. But I need to work on my legs and knees so when I fall I can get up on my own. I might give it a try tomorrow. He said there are about 10 other ladies and about 4 men. I could meet some other people too. Not that I like meeting new people. But I am trying.
Time now to get the dust mop to the floors.

It's a summer like day here & will be all week. Shorts on back on. Highly unusual for October. Got my long handled duster out to clean hard to reach areas. Don't do that to often. My TV is out again. Time to call the cable company I want them here this time to check the box. I think I need a new one.
Laurie Hope your dog will be OK. I give Tinker meds. every day.

Just got back from Frys to get a chuck roast for $2.97 a pound and some soda pop for $3.99 a 12 pack. The rest of the sale stuff I wanted was already off the shelf. So I saved even more money.
After thinking about it, nope I won't go to the Am Vets for the exercise class. Not with COVID rearing is ugly head again. Too many people in a small place and hard to exercise with a mask on your face. I'm better off just staying home and walking Mandy outside. Which reminds me I need to fill the hand sanitizer in here again. It's almost empty.
Time for Mandy to enjoy some time off leash in the pet area. I hope there some shade for me to sit.

Mary, if you have to call the cable company again, I'd let them know that they didn't fix it right the last time. That service charge is crazy.
