Good Morning....
The rain should be moving out today then warmer weather will move in for a while.
The kids will be here today. We switched days with the other grandparents, except Penny has a field trip to the apple orchard tomorrow, so Teddy will come here and DD will drop Penny off when her trip is done. So I guess we are having them both days....LOL That's okay...I love having them here.
We finished up the soup last night for supper...so I'll have to figure out what to have tonight. The soup is Lemon Chicken Orzo...it's really good.
Guess I better have some breakfast before our day begins. Have a great day............

Goodmorning grannies it's another dreary day with cloudy skies and rain to begin in another hour. Rain was predicted yesterday and the time kept changing, the day was over and no rain. Just have to wait to see if there is any today.
I feeling better today, those pills sure helped! When I'm sick I like the sweats now I've moved to flannel pants and sweatshirt as I get better the dress code changes. Regular clothes will be next. The flannel pants were dh's now they are mine. I have to pair and grand kids have the others. DH wasn't a big man. I see dgd wearing a pair of them now and then.
CJ yes, those little grands are a joy to have with you. Mine were never close enough to have them often. Two in Spain and two others just far enough away to be inconvenient.
Nothing new going on here other than there might be rain today we could use some of that.

Good morning.
A beautiful morning. Mandy and I have been to the pet area and back. Mary and her dogs came while we were there. She told me to stay away because she has a bad old. And stay away I did. I don't want to get sick. Some zip ties needed to be replaced on the accent lighting on the porch rails. Now that is done and I'm having my third cup of coffee. I woke up too early again this morning. This has got to stop. I'm retired I shouldn't have to get up so early. Maybe I should go to bed later at night. Hmmmmm
Today my cart will be coming home. Oh what a joy that will be to have back. A person really gets dependent on certain things. Especially when it really is a big help. In celebration, Mandy and I are going for a nice long tootle around the park sometime today. With new batteries I won't have to worry about loosing power!!!! I also have two large bags of garbage that need to go to the dumpster.
CJ, you are lucky to be able to spend time with the grandkids. What to make for meals? A never ending question.
Grammy, I'm am so happy to hear that you are still feeling so much better.
I'm about finished with my last cup of coffee for the day. Now to tackle my meager morning tasks.

A busy day for me. Christina is here I'm always in a better mood when she's here Being alone all the time stinks. She's at the grocery store for me right now. An eye dr. appt. this afternoon. Hopefully I'll get done at the dr. early enough that she can clean.
CJ Your rain is coming my way. It's cloudy here with rain AGAIN starting tonight into tomorrow. Chicken lemon orzo soup sounds good I'm starting to make soup again now that it's getting colder. Made a big pot of chicken soup last week. That was my supper for quite a few days.

Good Morning Ladies - - - We had another shower that didn't last long, but wouldn't have been fun to be out in it, yesterday around 4:15. Now it's 64 and cloudy. The phone was my wake up call today, but it was time to be up anyway. It was a call to bring a pan of bars to church in a week or two. I need to write it on my calendar so I don't forget it by then. She chuckled and said this time it's me calling you instead of the other way around. I will have to think about what to take, as I don't want to do pumpkin bars as this time of the year, that's what you will get. Not that I don't like them, I actually love them, but she said she was asking for 3 pans so she would have a variety.
CJ, fun to have the kids again and I bet Penny will have lots to tell you when she gets there.
Grammy it's so good to hear that you are feeling much better - is it still making the rounds at your house or did it stop with Kathy? Sure hope the travelers didn't get sick while they were gone.
Mamma, good idea to take the cart for a ride and see that everything is working good now. That garbage has a way of piling up, so good to get it out of the house too.
IC, hope your eye appointment goes well today - - I know you are enjoying the company today. I did end up going to get the ham dinner from one of the other churches last night and it was very good. I especially enjoyed the coleslaw as it had a vinegar dressing and it seems like all you ever get is a mayo based dressing.
Hope it will be a good day for everyone.

Good afternoon, and it's cloudy here too. I heard the rain early this morning but I have no idea how much we got. But I don't have anyplace to go today so I guess the weather won't interfere with what I do. I have the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen cleaned and it feels good to have it done. So I won't have much to do later. I actually could get it done today if I wanted to. I have some meat to separate and put in the freezer and also want to make broccoli salad. I'm thinking of making baked spaghetti and put it in the freezer as something I can have later. Tomorrow is the funeral of the Sunday school teacher.
CJ Do Teddy and Penny talk to each other? I think kids have a language all their own. What inside activities do you have for them today?
GRAMMY Are the meds you took prescription or otc? I know of 2 people in my church family who had covid a couple of weeks ago. Keep feeling better and stay warm. Those precious flannels still have purpose!!
MAMMA I'm waving as you go by!!! LOL I don't like not having my vehicle available! I might not need it, but I want to know I can go if I want to. Good idea to stay far away from Mary. I know you do all you can to stay healthy.
ICOOK You're so right, it stinks to be alone. Some days it's fine, other days, not to my liking. But every day someone calls, texts or maybe a visit so I'm thankful for that. I'm glad Christina comes and you have Tinker.
GREENBACK Pumpkin bars sound good! My favorite drink at the coffee shop I go to is Pumpkin spice steamer. Yummo! LOL I have a good pumpkin bundt cake recipe but I haven't made it in a few years. It's just too much and I might just be a bit lazy. LOL
Time to get something in the tummy, sweet corn, (last one) chicken and not sure what the rest will be.

I'm tired tonight It's been a long day. I was at the Drs. office over two hours. My eyes are worse than I thought. Can't get the surgery till January. I go back to her office in December for a pre-surgery visit. That is a two hour visit. Have to get the OK from my cardiologist & the nurse practitioner to get the surgery.
Christina didn't get all the floors done so I will do that tomorrow & dust Saturday.

Hi everyone, I'm sure I'm the only one here, so I'll shut off the lights. I went to work today and they had a scheduling error, the teacher I was in for just had an appt, not to be gone the whole day, so I got out really early, the secretary apologized so many times. So, I met the Yeti at his parents and we went and took his sister-she's up for three weeks from Florida. I've seen her three times now. I finished all of the on-line training, which makes me so very happy and just took a look at my license and I see that it expires in four years, so yes, one more renewal and I'm done! If I try to renew it more than that, yell at me! I'll need to keep up with the classes until then, but they are free through school.
So, a few things:
Pumpkin bundt cake and vinegar based Cole slaw-recipes please and thank you. I've never made a vinegar based coleslaw before, but do not like the caraway seeds in it.
Grammy-does your family who lived in Spain have any recommendations for Barcelona? Passport renewed and expedited.
That's it I guess. I need to call Al, I do each night, even if only for a bit, but I'll be there Sat and stay over this weekend and next weekend. Go to work at the History Center on Saturday and church and stay at the farm. Next weekend there is Polka Mass on Sunday at a local church that is in his tri-parish. Blessed be everyone.
