Good Morning...
Another dreary day with rain off and on. So far it's dry but I can feel it coming.
I went to Dollar Tree yesterday and got stuff to make a fall wreath for my front door. It turned out pretty good.
I need to make a run to Kroger in a bit. I have a small list...so we'll see how much I come home with.
Grammy....OH NO is right. I sure hope you can avoid it, but chances are you might get it. Keep wearing the mask, washing hands and such. How long will Chef and DGD be gone?
Have a great day everyone......

Good morning. So very sad to hear that you have COVID too, grammy. Prayers for you and your whole family.
A very nice and cool start to the day. A pretty hot afternoon. By the end of the week it will be cooler though.
Laundry in the machine, a trip to WM with my mask on my face. Jill wants me to help her pick out a hair color and color her hair. It would cost $90 to color her hair in the salon. I've done it many times in the past but usually Lincoln and I. And we were blonde, Jill is a light brownish color. She doesn't like the gray and wears some kind of band that about covers all her head. It looks ridiculous, IMO. But I never say a word, she has enough issues, and it's her head, not mine. hehehe
Since I went back to wearing my earplugs I've been sleeping better. I still wake up too early, IMO, but at least most all nights are good sleeping. The brand of earplugs that I usually get switched to a lycra foam. I hated them and got my money back. I'm almost out of the good ones. But after reading some other peoples complaints I was lead to another brand very similar to the ones I used to buy.
CJ, the wreath is beautiful. Good job, well done. What form did you attach the items to? The reminds me to pull out the spring flowers from the front flower pots. Time for fall colors.

Grammy...I guess it was inevitable that you would get it too. I hope you don't have a bad case and maybe you can get that packet of pills to lessen it before it gets too bad. Lots of rest and fluids.
Mamma...I used the wire wreath circle (they didn't have any of the foam ones). I covered it with a wide ribbon so I could hot glue the things to it.

I came home yesterday. I went to my cousins Saturday morning. That evening we went to her brothers house for a birthday party for her brothers ( my cousin too) father in law’s 90 th. 🎂 We had pizza and the works. On Sunday we went to her great granddaughter’s 6 th. Birthday party. It was a long trip but a good one. We were about 50 miles or so from Nashville. Yesterday I got my oil changed then we ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Then to Walmart shopping. I needed lots of stuff like paper products. I let everything run low when I went to Florida. While out we went to Big lots. I got a electric can opener. Mine had quit working. Today is a beautiful day. It is very dry here also. Yesterday was my youngest grand child’s 20th. birthday. And, Friday my son turned 48. I spent too much $ this weekend but stocked up on paper products. None of those are cheap. So sorry for the ones sick Grammy. My friend is very sick also. I am on the porch soaking up some sun. be back later

Good Morning Ladies - -- It's 63 and partly sunny - -- It rained yesterday afternoon again, a couple of showers, then don't know when it started again and was raining when I got up and my neighbor messaged me that the gauge had 1.3 in it and that was before 8 and still raining - It was coffee downtown today and still raining when we went. My friend came and drove my car, but we ended up getting a spot right in front of the door and then I took her home when we were done. I had a good breakfast today - I have the half a mess with toast. It is hash browns, peppers & onions, diced ham and eggs all mixed together. I was full with that, and I am not sure how anyone could eat the whole one. Grammy, I am so so very sorry to hear it got you too - - Prayers for you and the rest that you all keep improving. I hope that you have a light case - - - CJ, you did a wonderful job with the wreath - - very nice and I know you will enjoy seeing it hung on your door. Mamma, hope you are able to get Jill looking just like she wants. I deceided that at some point you have to let it become the natural color, and I didn't want a sharp contrast, so just let it go gray/white as it happened and believe me, I earned everyone of those gray hairs. I didn't sleep well last night so I think there will be a nap in my afternoon. Glad you found some ear plugs that work for you. Carolyn, you havebeen a busy lady - - Sounds like lots of good visiting too! Breakfast at CB is always a good time.

Good morning to all. I have about 3 more minutes to be able to use that greeting. It is a nice day here, but a bit warm. I liked the 70s and even low 80s more than the high 80s, but that is being picky, I guess. I really don't like that the humidity has reared its ugly head again.
Oh no, indeed, Grammy. Hugs and prayers for you as you battle Covid! I agree with CJ, take the cocktail of meds they recommend that you do as soon after diagnosis as possible. I hope you feel better very soon.
I am headed back to Missouri after I have some lunch and get the car packed up. Drew has a basketball game tonight at home (Vienna, MO) and then a cross country meet tomorrow in St. James, MO. I will drive straight to his game, go home after that, do some things at home tomorrow, then drive to his cross country meet and then back up here since I am as close to here as I am to home in St. James. Then, Mike and I will both come home on Friday evening. Good news is that the Saturday work is done, he and I both are liking the five days a week rather than 6, 10-hour days. He thinks they may be done at the end of next week, but of course nothing is for certain--that would make planning much easier if it was!
We had a busy weekend, got to see Emmett play football, had lunch with him and his family, back home to do some things--at least that was our plan, but there was a nice breeze coming in the open windows and we made the mistake of sitting down on the reclining couch for a moment--yep, we both fell asleep and had a good nap! Sunday was church, Mike trimmed the bushes in the front of the house and I cleaned out all the drawers in our big dresser and in both of our nightstands. Still have the wardrobe/TV center to do, but I was pretty ruthless with what I pitched or put aside to give away. I am determined to get rid of some stuff! Now to do the same with my closet, but that will be a BIG chore and will have to wait until I am home for good.
CJ, love the wreath.
Welcome back to Carolyn.
Mama, good luck with the hair color assignment--I hope it will be a "normal" color and not the pink, blue or green that I see all too often, even on older ladies, these days!
Jane, I have to admit that my hair is finally starting to go gray, but, like you, I don't intend to do anything about it. I, too, earned every one of them and I figure I am pretty lucky that I made it to 65 before I started getting any gray strands. Your breakfast sounded so good!
Time to get a bite of lunch (leftovers) and head toward the Show-Me state. Wishing all a good rest of your day and continuing to pray for and think about Grammy!
Love to all....

It's sunless today again. Yesterday it misted off and on but hardly enough to even show on the driveway. I definitely feel "fall" weather. And yesterday I saw both female hummers...and 3 pesky, fighting bees at the feeder. Today it's minus 2 bees, (thanks to the fly swatter.) and I've seen just one hummer. It was prayer meeting this a.m. Now I want to get my passwords in order. I need to recopy and get rid of some and hope to get them in alphabetical order. We'll see. Lunch was broccoli rice casserole that I had frozen. Not much more on my mind that I want to do today.
CJ I love the wreathe! And your DD's knitting is so perfect and professional! I hope her little business is doing well. The family is very talented.
GRAMMY I'm so sorry!! please don't put off taking meds or whatever it is you need to do. I hope Soraya doesn't get it. Is she the only one home with you and DSIL? Maybe she's doing kitchen duty.
MAMMA If it's Jill's color choice, you're right, it's her hair. You'd be surprised at some of the choices patrons make...stylist just shake their head when they walk out the door. I literally had one lady who wanted a roller set, and when her hair was dry, all she wanted was for me to remove the rollers and out the door she went. hummmmm LOL Oh, she was a regular customer too.
CAROLYN I enjoy hearing about your family and how they are so caring for you. The grandchildren grow up so fast! I'm still waiting/ hoping for my 1st great grandchild. Who knows if that will ever happen or if it happens before the good Lord calls me home. LOL
GREENBACK The breakfast you had does sound good. I don't think I could eat all of that for breakfast, maybe lunch or supper. My stomach isn't use to a big breakfast.
DJ I wish you lived closer, I would "invite" you to do some sorting and organizing my things too. And I still have a few/maybe a lot? not sure how many, KC things that DH bought in the 80-90's. I have sold some at the 127 sales but still have more. I know your DGS is a big KC fan, and so far, they're looking pretty good!
Time to get serious about making a new list of passwords. ttyl.

Elle...I need to put my passwords in some sort of order...like alphabetical. That sure would make it easier when looking for one instead of going over and over the sheets I have them written on. LOL on the lady that left after the rollers were taken out. Guess she wanted to comb it out her own way??
Welcome home Carolyn... Sounds like you accomplished a lot while there.
Greenback...that sounds like a breakfast I would like, if it's not in omelet form. Don't care for them. But all the ingredients just tossed together sounds better.
Debbie...sounds like you will be one busy lady for a couple days with the sports events. Enjoy it all. Glad Mike is almost done with this job and now having Saturdays off is a plus.
Elle...I wonder if I should put my hummer feeder back out? I kinda think they are gone now. Since our little trip up north, they haven't been here. Probably because I closed down their restaurant..LOL I'll have to post a couple pics of DS's newest pottery. I'm always amazed at what he comes up with and DD does awesome knitting. Did you see the sweater she made for Teddy for his birthday? It's so cute.

CJ I did see the sweater, green one, right? It was amazing. If you have flowers, maybe the hummers are getting food from there. I do expect mine to be gone any day. And I am getting tired of feeding them. LOL I did get my p/w on regular paper, hand written but I want to type them out in alphabetical order too. I have them in my computer but want a printed list too. I hope it doesn't take me as long to do that as it did to finally get them on paper. I found a lot of them I no longer use.

Thanks CJ, I like your ingenuity. And the wreath is great.
Debbie, I am not a professional so I can and will refuse to color any ones hair something that isn't natural. I don't care who they are. And Jill decided she could do the work herself, she just wanted help with the color. She really had no idea what to look for.
Jane, good to hear you are getting much needed rain. Your breakfast sounded quite good. I agree, I'm all for natural. Gray is part of life and like you, I've earned every one of those gray hairs.
Elle, Good idea, putting the passwords in alphabetical order. I'm not that ambitious though.
Time to get Mandy out. UGH, it's too hot to leave the comfort of the a/c.
As long as Jill was shopping I picked up a few things at WM too. No more shopping in store. They didn't have one check out open other than the self check. I'm not fighting with those darn bags and look for help when something doesn't ring up right. I quit, they don't pay me enough to do that. I'll stick with online. I hate self check outs in all stores.

Ellie, I bought a small note book and have a page for each place I need a password for and have my user name and password on it. Then I can draw a line threw it and add the new one on the next line when I need to change it. Jenny got me a smaller one that she said I should write the info in ink and the password in pencil so I could erase it when I change it. Sounds like such a good Idea, and I am always going to move things to that book, but so far have not. Debbie, how you have lots to cheer for this afternoon and again tomorrow. Good Luck to Drew - you are a good grandma getting to so many events when you are in Ill. Nice to look forward to being home again, I am sure. I agree about letting the gray come a little at a time! My neighbor at the house, rest her blessed soul, was a red head - she colored it herself and it was often more orange than red, but all of a sudden she didn't do it anymore, and had the prettiest white hair. It looked so much nicer that the orange! Mamma, I like some of the posts I see about not being paid enough to check and bag your own purchases. CJ, I was thinking about your son and wondering if he had come up with some new designs. I would love to see pictures and also of Teddy's sweater, as I didn't see it on line. We had more rain this afternoon about 3:30 and rained hard again. It lasted at least a half hour. I think we must be getting close to 5 inches, since Friday - - I will get a report from the neighbors later tonight or tomorrow. Grammy - a hug for you along with the prayers, and hope you are doing okay.

Hi everyone. I took a day for myself today, I played Mahjong and headed to Bemidji to take care of my passport. I'd pulled over at one spot on the road as my phone dinged and what should go by but a Genoa Fish Hatchery truck. Well, I followed it to see who was driving, tried to call the hatchery for that info but my phone was being a pain. Long story short, it was a kid whose dad worked with the Yeti and that I had as a day care kid. I never caught up to him, but found out there was another guy from the hatchery near by, so I was able to get in touch with him and we met in the parking lot by Menards and had a nice visit. I think I just needed that and some time for me. The nicest girl at the court house helped me with the passport, turns out all of the stress looking for the other one was unnecessary, I expedited it and it should be here about the end of November, so we'll be good. Stopped at the grocery store to get some stuff for Al that was on sale and at $Tree for a couple of aluminum cake pans with tops to use for the fall festival at our church this weekend. I am not going to be there, but am making two pans of brownies for the cake walk and got some stuff for the fish pond. I was to bring a hot dish, a cake and one thing for the fish pond-they will get two things of brownies and a half dozen things for the fish pond. I am off tomorrow and work Thurs and Fri and will work at the history center Sat and go to church with Al and then stay over. #1 and DIL had an ultrasound today, one baby (twins run in the family) and probably the only ultrasound they will do and they aren't finding out M/F. Due date is Feb. 10. She looks great and says she feels good too. Mrs. Brown Kravitz is singing a song of woe, I look forward to her eating more, she's about the right size now, but has lost weight. See you all in the morning. I've a couple of things to do here and then am off to take a shower later. Blessed be.
