Good morning A partly sunny morning and a nice cool 74º. I'll be changing the sheets and washing after I finish my coffee. I get up at 6:30, have one cup of coffee, take Mandy out, then one more cup of coffee, and THEN I start on my chores. Yes, in that order. When I sleep a little later, Mandy comes first.
I moved my sewing machine into the craft room and took down the 6 foot table. The table was starting to sag in the middle making it hard for work. At the length and being a folded table the rigidity is not there. I've never liked the long folded tables just for that reason, but the others are so over priced. The little table that I put the sewing machine on works well and can take the weight. So yes, the craft room got changed again. What else have I go to do?
No riblets for supper last night, I was just as lazy then as I was all day and just had cold cereal for supper. Maybe I'll make a good meal for lunch today. One good meal a day is all that I need. And yesterday I had no good meals.
Now that my coffee cup is empty, I'll change the sheets and get the washer going. Happy Friday to all.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 64 and cloudy - Yesterday it got over 80 and was just a beautiful day. I don't have any plans for today, so will just see how it unfolds - - MY coffee is about gone now, do I have another cup is the major choice of the moment. My cup is big, so actually, I have had 2 cups already. I was glad I went to the funeral yesterday, because as I expected, it wasn't a very big crowd. Your washing machine will just be a humming today, Mary - lots of good jobs done for you today.. Mamma, you are a busy lady changing things around and why not?? No reason not to have things the way you want them. Debbie, it will be interesting to see how you make out with the apartment management - - I think you were spot on when you said there were many empty units. If they had someone waiting to get in, I think there may be a different outcome. CJ, I am sorry to say this, but even the picture of the pizza didn't make me want to dive right in. I think the message of fig jam turned me off. I am glad that you enjoyed it. I got to face time with the kids just a little last night and wish Dawson a HB and watch him open hs presents.

One thing lead to another.....ALL the bedding is getting washed. The mattress pad is on the line, blanket to follow, and the summer bedspread will be next to hit the washer and then the clothes line. All bedding will be clean tonight. Aahhhhh. I'll put the winter bedspread in the dryer to freshen it up from being packed away. I may put in a dryer sheet or a washcloth with a little Downy on it. I don't like using dryer sheets, they leave such a film on the laundry and the dryer, so I doubt I will use that.
Jane, I imagine you did a lot of visiting yesterday. I wouldn't mind 80º weather either. Much better than 60 0r 110. That pizza didn't turn me on either. I'm such a traditionalist.

Mamma, Have you ever tried using wool dryer balls? I also wanted to give up the dryer sheets, and gave them a try and have continued to use them. Happy with the results.

Where is everyone today? The day is winding down and I think there was only 3 different grannies to post. Must be a busy day for them as it was for me. This was food distribution day so I helped there. I always have a sit down job so ther is no problem with the work. we only sserved about half as many as usual today. Lots of baked goods, produce, milk and juice just ft long hotdogs the only meat. This is all donated so we can only give away what comes from the stores and other such places.
I see the neighborhood has been a quiet place so I'll tippy toe out

Another nice last day of fall. The leaves are turning, lower humidity and just the feel of fall in the air. I enjoy this weather. I got my flu shot this a.m. and got a few groceries. I'm leaving to go to my oldest sisters house for pizza. She's invited all the family out. There will be 6 missing because several are in college and others had plans. It'll just be pizza and I will be taking a pecan bar dessert. I know others will take something too.
ICOOK A nice day to have the house open and let the fresh air in as you keep so very busy with all the laundry.
MAMMA This must be change the sheets day in the GN. I did mine too. A job that's very hard for me to do.
GREENBACK I just learned last night that I'll have another funeral to attend this week. Our precious SS teacher's wife passed away. He's in his early 90's and she was in her upper 80's. Just a wonderful couple. Don't we just love that 1st cup of coffee!!
GRAMMY How good of you to still help with the food distribution. And it's nice that you don't need to stand and be on your feet. Did you get a chance to ready the Kindle?
I need to freshen up a bit then be on my way.

I went to Aldi and $1.00 tree today. Today my son my youngest child turned 48. I gave him money for his birthday. He is much younger than my girls. They are 55, 58, and 60.And as you know he and his family are my next door neighbors. I went on a guided tour of the maximum prison (was) it closed in 2009.They now have a museum, distillery, and a restaurant all on the grounds, it was interesting. That is where James Earl Ray was sent to and escaped from there. If I am repeating myself on this. I’m sorry I just can’t remember what I wrote before. I am going to my cousins house for the weekend. We have two parties to go to. Hope all of you are well. Take care. 🍄🍄

Good rainy afternoon to all. It's been raining for about an hour or so and Mike just called (4:30 p.m. CDT) and said they are calling it a day. I have things packed up to go home as soon as we have supper which will be leftover broccoli/cheddar/ham quiche, sausage links, little roasted potatoes and skillet apple fritter cake.
I pulled out the tomato plants today and set aside the stakes, metal support rods and the cages as well as the big pots, of course. There were a few green tomatoes and I left them in a chair on the neighboring porch. The lady who lives there had asked me for any green tomatoes I wanted to spare. The tomatoes just didn't produce here. Even though we watered every day, it was just too hot and dry, I think, and maybe not the right place for them on our little patio. We will go ahead and take the pots, cages, etc., home and that will be one less thing we have to move later--whenever we get out of our lease or the lease ends.
This weekend at home we have a football game for Emmett tomorrow which Mike will go to and I will be taking his sister, Amelia, to a birthday party scheduled for the same time. It is pretty much an all-class invited party and will be at the local ninja warrior spot which also has lots of tumbling/gymnastic space and apparatus. She is looking forward to it. Don't know that we have anything else scheduled for the rest of the weekend, but I am sure it will go by fast. It sure is nice that Mike has Saturdays off now!
Well I see his truck parking outside, so I will say goodbye for now and wish all a great weekend!

Really late getting here. We had the kids today and took them to the nature park nearby. We walked on the boardwalk along one of the lakes. I thought Penny would like that, which she did. And then there is a small play structure, swings and a slide that they played on. When we got home it was lunch time and lots more playing...LOL
I know the pizza isn't something that would appeal to most people. It didn't me either until I tasted it. One of our local pizza places here has a pizza called Fig & Pig. It is one of their best sellers.
Hope everyone has had a nice day.....I'll be back tomorrow.

No, Jane, I have not considered using the dryer balls. I like adding Downy to the rinse cycle. I don't use the dryer for everything. Love the smell with no added film to hurt the dryer or for me to feel.
All the heavy blankets really took a toll on my arms. But oh how nice the bed is going to feel with everything so clean and fresh smelling off of the clothes lines. Yep, it's worth the effort. I know I won't be able to do it forever but for now, I'll keep doing what I can until I can't.
Sad news, my golf cart has to go into the shop. The gears are acting up again and I just can't do it this time. There has to be a bigger reason for it to happen so often. Depending on the cost of that repair, I'm going to ask them what the total bill would be for new batteries too. If it won't drain but I have put away I think I'll just get everything fixed and be done. It's a used cart so I know there will be other repairs, but maybe some I may still be able to do myself. LOL I can't bother Mike all the time. He has big health issues, and a bigger heart. The cart will be picked up on Monday morning and they will bring it back when it's all done. So in the mean time I and Mandy will either walk when it's nice or take my car when it's too hot to walk. Mornings and evenings are nice for walking, but not in the afternoon. And we like the walks. I did manage to coax the cart into the cart port so I didn't have to leave it parked in the street. A little pray for help worked, it also got me home from the clothes line area when the cart wouldn't move. God is good.
