A beautiful morning, cool but sunny. I have my internet provider coming soon to exchange my modem for a new one. Saturday my phone didn't work so I got a new one and changed providers. So, I hope they come on time and the exchange won't be any hassle. Then I'm going with a friend to a nursery to get her some mums. We've been doing this for several years. I don't intend to buy any as my other plants are looking very ragged and I'm about ready to pitch them. I hadn't seen a hummer for 2 days, but I've seen one two times already today. So I guess I'll keep fresh food for them until I know they're gone.
Coffee and Persian rolls for you, come on in, make yourself at home, chat a while and have a great day.

Good morning. Oh what a beautiful morning. It was 71ยบ when Mandy and I went out this morning at 7. Our high today will be 98, so much better weather this week than last week. Doors and windows are open wide and Mandy is in the house. Silly girl.
Not much planned for today. But if I really want to or look hard enough I'm sure I can find all kinds of things to do. That doesn't sound like much fun though. So I'll just go with the flow and whatever mood strikes me.

Elle, good luck with the provider change over. I can't seem to find a feeder that doesn't leak. So I've not had one for the hummers in awhile because of the sticky mess. I'll just watch the feeders at my neighbors homes. They can have the mess and I can just watch. Thanks for the roll.

Goodmorning grannies, a chilly start for the day but getting warmer for the afternoon. Temp will be in the 70s today with lots of sunshine.
Elle nothing on my schedule for today either. I thought I had seen the last of the hummers but Sat I did see another one at the feeder. Prob getting filled up for the long flight South.
Mamma enjoy the cool mornings! It's 66 now! I buy the cheap humming bird feeders and no leaks from them The fancy/pricy leak or the hummers don't seem to like them.
Today might be my day to not much. I feel tired this morning. How can I be tired when I do do little?
DD#2 sent me a pretty stained glass pc. It's a red heart with a hammered glass background about 8x10 so pretty. It's too heavy to hang in a window I'm sure it would fall. She said it was a reminder of my heart procedure. A teacher at the school where she works does stained glass work. I really like it
IC this grannies doesn't do much of anything anymore!
Time to decide what I'll do with this day???

Grammy, I buy the cheap feeders too. I thought that was why they leaked. So I bought a better one and after awhile those leaked too. I gave up. Enjoy a nice quiet restful day.
IC, I don't use a day of the week to clean anymore, I just clean when needed. Around here, sadly, that is too often. Although I've learned to let it go a bit more. I used to be a real fanatic.

MAMMA I think when the weather gets hot and humid, my feeders seem to "leak" but I wonder if it isn't the dampness. But I would enjoy the neighbors if I could too. Then no cleaning the feeders or making food. LOL Enjoy the nice weather!!
ICOOK I hope you keep warm. It seems the fall damp/cool weather goes through my bones too. I get cold/er easy now too. Can't be old age. LOL
GRAMMY What a sweet DD you have, well both of your DD's. They're such givers and so much thought into the personalness of the gifts. It makes one happy just to know they're thinking of us. Enjoy the day and it's ok to do nothing or very little!! Hugs
I'm waiting for the internet provider to get here, hope it's soon so I can go with my friend.

Good Morning Ladies - - - A beautiful morning out there. It's 64 now at almost 11. I slept late again today as I couldn't get to sleep first. I guess I was just rolling over in my mind the conversations that I had with different classmates and the fact that there were a couple or so that I really didn't have conversations with, just greetings. It's hard to get to everyone, especially when I need to sit so much, but the class reunion was a fun time and I was the last one to leave. I got up once to go pay my bill and one of the wives came up to me just then and we hadn't had a chance to visit yet, so I sat down to talk to her, and while we were talking, he paid their bill, and when we finished up, I wanted to go to the restroom, since I had the drive home, and they offered to wait until I did that and pay, so they could see I got to the car fine, but I said I would be okay. we were not related, but did share some relatives, so I knew her growing up and seeing each other at different things. She said she always looks for me at these, as she only knows me and one other. I had a great meal that I couldn't finish and lots of laughs and good times. Now, I will go back there on Thur. for our monthly lunch. Ellie, Your coffee and persian made me think of your DH and how he always brought home rolls on Sunday. Hope your provider comes soon and you get everything taken care of. I think the fall mums are so beautiful. Mamma, I have had the same trouble with the hummer feeders - and I had flowers that they should like, but didn't see them down here like I did at the house, so I gave up too. I did have one on the deck when I was at the kids and was fun to see it up close. I was just opening the door to let Josey in or out. IC have a good day of rest today. Grammy, I have a heavy stained glass that I didn't trust on the window, but I got one of the heavy duty magnet hooks, and put it on the window frame and it's very secure there. I'm sure it would be a beautiful heart with the sun shining on it. Nothing on my schedule for the day, so will just see what happens.

Good morning, it is 55 this morning. I dressed warm. I have hypothyroidism so I am cold when others are not. I did a bit of cooking yesterday. Baked sweet potato, greens and broccoli cornbread. I got the kitchen and hall mopped. That is a big job for me. Tomorrow is when I go to Oak Ridge for lunch. Hope to make it over to Aldi. Need to stock up on coffee ( for the winter). Take care everyone. BBL

Carolyn, I stock up for the winter too, but not because of the snow, but the "snow" birds and because the prices raise once they get here. The sales have already diminished from good sales down to not much of any good sales. Lots of liquor adds though.
Jane, it sure sounds like you had a wonderful time at the reunion. I was happy to hear that too. How nice to have an offer to see you to the car. I would take them up on that. Rest and enjoy your day.
My WM order is put away and now I'm thinking lunch. My tummy is growling. I'm sure there are a couple choices in the fridge to satisfy the rumbling. Oh, I made a couple cards this morning. One for DDIL and one for Jill. Their birthdays are in Oct. I'm ahead of the game for a change.
It's a bit on the sticky side out there now. So I'm done with the open doors and windows. When I started sticking to my clean floors I knew it was time to close up.
Elle I hope the techs come so you don't miss your time with your friend. I hate the waiting game.

Good Monday afternoon to all. It is a beauty of a day here; quite cool this morning, but mid 70's and a nice breeze now.
It was a busy, but nice weekend. Made it home about 8:15 on Friday night, got to Emmett's football game on Saturday morning, then hightailed it to Rolla, for DMIL's side of the family's reunion. Then, stopped at DD#T1's house to pick up mums I had bought from Eli to benefit his FFA chapter, then stopped for supper and finally home about 8:00 p.m. Sunday was church, lunch, some hurried chores around the house, dropped off some of the small apple baskets and chalkboards we used at DD#2's wedding at our friends' house and had a chat with them. She is on the county historical society and they are celebrating the release of a book on the county's rural schools with an old-fashioned pie supper and auction and she's going to use the baskets and chalkboards as table decorations. Then, on up here to IL where we both went to bed early.
This morning I spent nearly three hours at Urgent Care as I was pretty sure I had a sinus infection. Yep, that's what it is. But, it was a long wait to be seen, first triaged, then would I take a telehealth appointment which they do then and there, but still had to wait for someone to talk with me via the computer for about a half an hour. Even though it was telehealth, the nurse came in and attached everything they needed for heart and lung sounds, then, held the lights for looking at my throat and ears. Then, the remote doc decided I needed to be tested for Covid. I was surprised they hadn't done that first thing. Anyway, decided I needed an antibiotic for the infection, but she wouldn't subscribe it until I had the Covid test so that was another 15 minute + wait. Finally got out of there and got my meds and came home. Actually, I stopped at Freddy's Steakburgers first, it is, apparently National Cheeseburger Day, and to those of us who have their app, they sent a reward for a free cheeseburger, so I decided that would be my lunch. There was quite a wait after I had paid, but when they handed it to me, I didn't look, just drove away. When I got home, I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, so obviously got the wrong order, but I ate the burger anyway and saved the fries for another time.
As soon as I get done here, I intend to sit in the recliner and maybe even take a little nap. One side of my face is a bit swollen (I think only I can tell by looking) and it hurts both my ear and my throat to swallow, I have a sinus headache, lots of drainage, and I had a slight fever when at the UC. So, glad I pulled up my big girl panties and went; you all know how much I like doctors--NOT! But, I am thankful to have gotten it over with, gotten meds and hopefully will start feeling better soon.
Love to all; wishing you a great day.

Good Afternoon...
It started out drizzly and gray and now the sun is out and blue skies. The temp is mid 60's but feels much warmer.
I was up early for a mammogram. My appt was 8:10. Got there 15 mins early and was home by 8:20. How's that for in and out...LOL
Then I talked with my mom and we decided to go shopping. She was wanting to get Teddy's birthday gift...so I thought today would be a good time to do that. She got what she wanted/needed and doesn't have to worry about getting out to get something. Me, on the other hand, still has to figure out what to get.
I haven't seen any hummers in a while. I took the feeder down while we were on our trip last week, and when I put it back up, none have come. I guess they thought I gave up on them. I'll put it back out and see what happens. It's suppose to be quite warm this week...so maybe they are still around.
I think I hear the swing calling my name. Have a great rest of the day.........

Good evening! How are you today? I was in pre-k today and don't work again until Friday, I am planning to keep it that way. Still cannot find a paper I am looking for, so frustrating, I will look again later, I know I am looking over things that I already looked at. Supper is over, dishwasher is loaded, part of a load of laundry is in the washer and I am going to sit. Mrs. Brown Kravitz went to the vet-she has a tick caused disease, not Lymes, will be on Rx for a month and they seem to think she has an ulcer, so more Rx. Even though she was on the tick meds earlier, since we had a super warm spell around February, some ticks came out early and they were the ones that caused the problems. I was super worried, so very glad to hear it is not as bad as it could've been. My brother talked to Al about the furnace issue and he is on board, so that's a load of work and worry off of everyone. Brother's BIL will get the furnace and we will get it installed. We'll each kick in a bit and then he is ordering the tank. Whew, busy day, but a lot to cross of the to-worry about list. Blessed be everyone.
