Time to get up a nd get the day started. It's a cloudy morning with the temp at 89* and staying in the upper 70s for the day. A chilly day after the heat we have had
Got the haircut yesterday and told the girl to listen or don't touch me! Seems they just want to cut. She did pay attention to what I wanted and did a nice job. Then it was time to take DSIL to lunch we decided on Bob Evans since we both wanted the Wildfire Salad. That was sooo goood and I hadn't been there for a long time. Time to get the blood drawn and home. The joys of a small town many times it's just walk in and no wait as it was yesterday! If there is a waiting time anywhere I go it's a short wait!
It's very cloudy now and a possible shower

Good morning. And yet again another nice morning, I could get used to this. Warmer today than yesterday but not as warm as the weekend. I'm not looking forward to Saturday and Sunday temps. But if the humidity and dew point stay down it is tolerable. If I would clean off the porch better I could have coffee out there this morning. But I don't feel like it. I need to do the car first and foremost. The inside need cleaning and the inside windshield is bad.
Besides the cleaning the inside of the car, I've no plans to do much of anything. Yesterday I did to much and won't do that today.
Grammy, how small is your small town? What's the population? I'm not a big town person either. Yuma is way too big for me, but the foothills is much better.
I'll finish my coffee and then head outside to the car.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's just 62 and mostly sunny. It must have rained a little bit over night, as the deck is wet, but doubt that we had enough to do any good. The lawns are getting to look very sad. I've had a nice phone chat this morning with one of the HS friends. Grammy, glad to hear that the HC is a winner this morning. What's in the Wildfire Salad? It sounds interesting. Mamma, you probably have the car all cleaned up by now - an early start for you, considering the time change. I placed a pickup order for early afternoon, so will go get it later and that's about all I have planned for the day - the rest will just come as it comes - - - I can grab my mail while I am out, as my neighbors are gone for the day, but she said if it was there later when they come home, she would bring it. IC, did you change your drug store, or is Rite Aid closing? Hope you don't get an storms. Have a nice day ladies.

Mamma the town of Marysville has a population of about 26,000 and the county has a population of about 60,000 mostly farms around this area corn, wheat and soybeans. It's also the home of Honda America and Scotts lawn stuff. Lots of people come from outside the county to work these place. We only have Wmart and Mijers for shopping both have groceries as well as Kroger and Aldi. Prob more than you wanted to know!
IC glad that Christina is well enough to help you again.
Greenback the hair cut is fine. The Wildfire is a Bob Evens speciality consisting of salad greens, corn, corn chips, fried or grilled chicken and a bit of BBQ then the dressing which is a little bit spicey. Prob has some other good stuff that I can't remember now it's so good! Served with rolls, biscuits or pumpkin bread. A great lunch

I got to see the baby yesterday and today also. He stays with his grandparents next door while his parents work. He is the cutest little guy. He seemed to recognize me. Was smiling and kicking his legs. I couldn't wait to hold him.
He actually went with his grandpa and myself to Kroger. I needed some groceries, and I don't like going alone, unless it is the store 12 miles from us.
I have changed my bed, (with my grandson's help) and put my new comforter on it. I also am washing the sheets and have vacuumed the bedroom.
I bought a watermelon yesterday and that will be my dessert today, and several days as it is a good sized one.
I sat on the porch this morning and drank my coffee and listened to the chimes chiming music to me.
So, I guess I am home except for trips close to here.
My grandson detailed my car for me while I was gone. I hope everyone has a great day.
Going to fold the clothes and might take a snooze. I am still a bit tired.
But, I also need to write a letter.
Take care everyone, try to be here tomorrow.
Have no plans of going anyplace soon, except to get a haircut one day.
Oh yea, I have a birthday party at my cousins on the 23rd. I hope to go to that. Also, want to get a appt. to get the oil changed in my car.
Our town is population: 600

I'll be living in my bedroom the next two days TV in the living room isn't working. Called my provider & they tried to get it working from there end. I unplugged & plugged the cable box back in. Nothing A technician comes Saturday afternoon. I was told I might be charged $79.95 for the them to come. They have a plan that costs $5 a month if there is a charge. Everything is money today.

Grammy, It was so nice hearing about your town. Thank you for the information. It's nice to be able to learn about where each of us live. I'm from a town of about 16,000. In 2021 Yuma had just over 97,000 people but has grown exponentially the last couple years. Too many people for me. And when the snowbirds are here it is over 250,000 and the foothills where I live gets way too crowded as well. The majority of the RV resorts are in the foothills (Fortuna Foothills is the true name or the burb) Good to hear that you got a good haircut too.
Jane, I like pick up orders too, but have gotten too used to delivery. My friends in MN, said that they need rain too. But then it is September, most things start to dry, don't they?
The car is as clean as it is going to get. I didn't feel like dragging out the little vacuum from the shed so I just picked up the stones and stuff from the floor. I'll get it next time.......maybe. Not sure how the inside windows turned out. I'll find out next time I go somewhere. It's now 103 on the porch so I'm not going to wipe anything off there either. I have things I should do inside. Hmmmm, I wonder what will get done? LOL
IC< the heat isn't bad but the humidity is not nice at all. Stay cool.
Carolyn, nice little town you live in. I like to shop alone and really much prefer it that way.

IC, those companies sure do know how to charge, don't they. Dish has a plan like that too, but it costs $11 a month. Right now I've got 6 months free and then I'll decide what to do. The lady that set me up, said she really didn't think it was necessary. But I don't have the money for a service call either. Kind of a catch 22.

Just for the heck of it, I looked to see if the foothills had a listed population.... It is 26,727 and growing..... A lot of Californians moved in.

Good afternoon to all. It has been a beauty of a day here, low humidity, a nice breeze and sunshine. I enjoyed my early morning walk and rode my bike this afternoon. I know Mike has appreciated this weather, too.
I am pooped for some reason. I did have a long day yesterday. Took an early morning walk on the blacktop at home, went to my sweet cousin's visitation and funeral, got myself some lunch and ended up going back home when I got an email that a package had been delivered at the house. Got that inside and unpacked and then left to go to #2 grandson Drew's first middle school cross country meet. Cheered him on and then drove myself back up here to IL and got in about 8:30. It is getting dark earlier these days!
Doing the pineapple pork chops again for supper. Will have white rice and an Asian salad with a sesame dressing to go with. Wanted to use up the leftover pineapple preserves. I am working on cleaning out the fridge and cabinets here as much as possible.
Our little town of Centertown has less than 300 people. Of course, we live a bit over 5 miles from the town, the Centertown address encompasses quite a wide area.
Time to get started on supper. Wishing all a great evening
