It's a nice morning. Had my coffee on the swing. Now to see what I will do today.
DH is meeting with his brother to discuss some concerns about their mom.
I'll leave the coffee pot out....help yourselves.

Good morning
CJ, I hope that things can be resolved concerning your MIL. Swing time is a good way to start your morning, enjoy it before it gets too cold.
This morning I couldn't get Mandy to hurry with her business. It's so blasted humid out there again that I don't want to be out any longer than I have to. Mary and her two dogs were in the pet area so I got to talk to her for a bit. Mandy and her two get along pretty well. They sniff their greetings and then go about their business. It just takes Mandy longer when there are distractions. It can be a fly, but any movement or sound is a distraction with her. UGH! So frustrating. But then she is trapped in the house all day so I guess it's entertainment to her too.
Nothing planned for today. On line church with my MN church. If Pastor Clint (Yuma) is back I'll listen to his message too. I just remembered that I didn't do dusting yesterday. Shopping and the rain got me sidetracked. Sounds like a good excuse anyway. 
Now back to some serious coffee drinking......

Hello, it's a beautiful day by the lake. I need to get some things done before people arrive, my niece is coming early, which is good as I forgot a few things at the store and she'll grab them. Let's see-potato salad, Cole slaw, pasta salad, chicken, pickles and olives, veggie tray, grapes and water melon, hotdogs, Mac & cheese. MIL is bringing baked beans, SIL is bringing a dessert. I am making a cake too as it is great niece's birthday on Tuesday. Too much food I'm sure, but left overs are good too. I better get a couple of things done, BBL, blessed be.

Good Morning Ladies - - - I slept much better last night and am starting to feel like a human again. Yesterday it was almost like I was in a fog all day. I iced my knees a couple of times yesterday. I have coffee here on Tue. and deceided to just pick up a key lime pie but then when I did my grocery order, they were out. I did get the turtle one, so still as easy, but the lime ones are so good!
CJ, keep enjoying those swing mornings just as long as you can. We all know they are limited now. Thank you for the coffee.
Mamma, you now how nice it is to get out of the house after being coped up for awhile and I'm sure Mandy feels the same way -- - Let's just play around awhile! You did a nice job on your jar and I'm sure you will enjoy it's warm glow.
Laurie, sounds like a nice day at the lake today - you have been really busy making food - it all sounds so good and I'm sure it will taste even better. Are the fishermen back or will they miss all of those goodies. Have a great time with your company.
I was glad to see that Grammy was going to visit DD # 2 today. Another good time in the hood.

The kids are going to a drum festival at the
Beach tonight. I am staying here, me and old
arthritis. Just not up to getting ready.
I will begin to get my things together soon.
Going home Turs.
My toe finally got better. Thankfully.
But since the hurricane I have had more aches
N pains. Think it is the atmosphere.
But I have had a wonderful time.
And, there is truly no place like home.

It's warming up like they said it would be. Going to 90* then that way most of the week. Nothing really going on here, except I do feel a nap coming on. Hoping it will be a power nap, not too long. LOL Some people from church brought in veggies from their gardens. I got sweetcorn. I hate so have that part of summer end. And the coming week doesn't have any different events as of now.
CJ Early mornings outside time is fast ending. I always feel that winter is a lot longer than spring/summer. It's good that your DH and his DB work together to help their mother.
MAMMA Didn't get your dusting done yesterday? I give you permission to just skip it, tomorrow there will be more...LOL :-) I bet it does feel good for Mandy to get outside. Would we call it "dog fever?" LOL
LAURIE You've done so much already I hope you can relax and enjoy it. A large crowd.
GREENBACK I think it takes a day or so to relax and get our minds back to normal when we've been gone for a while. Take care of your knee. Is it getting better?
CAROLYN I'm glad the toe is better. It sounds like you're ready to go home.

The temp is 87* with the humidity at 46% and a nice breeze. As long as you are in the shade it feels quite pleasant. Not often that the humidity is that low with high temps.
Mamma...I like the look of this one too.
Grilling chicken for supper. I made a 4 bean salad and will make some buttered noodles. Also sliced fresh tomatoes.

It's been a long day Won't get everything done today that I want to. I was still asleep at 10:30 this morning. Phone woke me up. That is highly unusual for me to sleep that late. Almost done with the dusting. Won't get the floors done. I cut up a cantaloupe. It is very sweet. Have stuffed peppers cooking & dishes done for now. Might get the macaroni salad made.
I turned the AC back on last night. It was very warm in my apartment. AC will be going all week It will be humid thru next weekend.

MAMMA You are talented. Are you artistic too? I do like this craft too.
CJ I agree it isn't too bad if we're in the shade. My indoor/outdoor thermometer says 91*. I still have one fresh tomato and that's probably going to be my last one.
ICOOK You must have been tired! The dust will be there tomorrow. Did Tinker sleep that late? Good doggie!!
I had a short nap and went to $G. I also went to the cemetery. I am bored.

I'm kind of bored too, Ellie - It has just seemed like a long day, even though I talked to DD and 2 friends and then my cleaning couple came and got her check from when I was gone, ran to KS for some things for me and did a couple of other thing around here. I know I shouldn't be bored with that kind of activity - first it seemed like the day was going to fast and then all of a sudden it seemed to drag - - I better quit this or you will think that it was my head that I fell on!!!
My computer is saying 93 out there - I haven't been out so can't comment on how it feels. At least the sun is shining!
Carolyn, probably a good idea to lay low and rest up for your trip home.
CJ, nice menu for tonight. I like the bean salad, but it's not anything I ever make. Don't know why, just don't. I like the buttered noodles once in a while too!
IC, you were a tired lady today - - If you are tired, then sleep, until you feel rested. Other stuff will wait.
Mamma, another cute idea for fall - just wish we weren't heading into fall.

Around 1 or so I fell asleep in my chair until after 2. Why? I slept so good last night. Must be the heat and boredom that knocks me out. Mandy sleeps a lot too.
Thanks for the compliments on the jar projects.
Elle, no I am not artistic at all. And because my hands shake now, I have a hard time doing anything tedious. I used to love to color, now it looks like a toddler was coloring.
Not sure I want the smell in the house, but I'm really thinking of making my steak. The air fryer oven is in the kitchen and not on the porch. I had to bring it in before the big dust storms and strong winds. And I've just kept it in the kitchen. But since it's ribeye and they are fatty, I better wait and just put a pork chop on the griddle pan. Who knows, maybe I'll just have a sandwich.  I'll be glad when I can open the windows again.
It was hard to find a place for Mandy outside this afternoon. The shaded spot we usually go to was flooded yesterday and now a muddy mess. She had to settle for a three foot shade from a bush. I sure wish there was a place with shade around here besides under the solar.
I just had a thought.....when y'all have snow falls I'll have snowbirds. Ha ha ha, not funny.
