Good Morning....
It's a chilly start but going to warm up. I sat on my swing with coffee...it was 50*. The days are getting shorter so I need to make the most of it..LOL Call me crazy.
My mom came to my house yesterday. Her power was still out. And they were told the septic system was not good, so no toilet flushing. She had come with plans to spend the night if need be. By late afternoon, the power was back on and I took her home after supper.
Not much planned for today, yet. I'll see what comes along.

Sun is trying to peep out Humid today & tomorrow so AC is still working Hopefully soon it won't be needed anymore. No plans for today. Christina comes back tomorrow. Tinker & I really missed her.

Goodmorning grannies, it's a chilly morning with the temp at 56* then staying in the mid 70's for the afternoon. Just sunshine and clear sky today.
CJ sitting on the swing with the coffee is a good start for any day. All too soon you will have to spend those mornings inside. We take so many things for granted till they fail us and no power is a biggie! So glad you dm was able to return home and enjoy all the comforts when she pushes the button.
This morning had been a do nothing time for me. I was late getting dressed and the person who takes care of the animals in the morning stopped to see if grammy was ok. I was in the bedroom getting dressed. My door wasn't locked so by the time I got the robe back on she was on her way to the stairs to look for me. She was quiet relieved to see that I was OK.
Nothing much on my "to do" list for today I'll just see which of the jobs I feel like doing as the day moves along.
Hope to hear from Greenback today and the news will be good.

Good morning on another hot Yuma day.
Yesterday was a scorcher as well as today and tomorrow. I hope this is the last excessive heat we see for a long time. Well I can dream can't I?
This morning I called my handyman to make an appointment for him to put in my RO filters. Wow, he is coming today around noon. I'm sure he will be glad that it's not an outside job, but not so thrilled about under the sink. Good thing he is a young and small in stature man. It's a tight fit. I've got the filters so I just need his muscle and skill. It will be nice to have good tasting water again. The filters should have been changed about 4 months ago.
Not much else planned for today, just stay inside as much as possible. I've got a few cards that I need to make, if it gets done remains to be seen.
CJ, yes, enjoy your swing time as much as you can. I'm looking forward to some porch time in a month or two.
Grammy, how very nice for the lady to come and check on you.
Jane, I'm so very saddened by your fall. I do hope that you recover quickly as I'm sure you will be sore for awhile. {{{HUGS}}}

Good sunny morning, it's now 68* and going to the upper 70's for my neck of the woods. I've opened the windows and feel some breeze. Last night I went to Prime Time. It's the 55+ age group in our church. We had around 17 present so a good turn out and the food was good. The ladies played games and the men stood around and talked. Then the men even cleaned up the kitchen while we played games. You can't beat that for a good evening. LOL Not much going on here either. I still haven't made the valances for my kitchen windows. Maybe today? I don't think I need to run any errands either so we'll see how the day goes.
CJ I know your mom was so relieved to get back to her home and have everything working! I've also noticed that the days are getting shorter. Not that I'm happy about it. I'm ready for spring!!! LOL Are you missing Penny and Teddy today?
IC No a/c here today. I did turn it on when I got home last night. The air just seemed heavy in the house. Tinker will be so happy to see Christina. I hope Christina is feeling better. Did you make the peanut butter pie yet?
GRAMMY It sounds like you gave your family a scare. So great that they are there with you and take good care of you. And you have a thankful heart!! Maybe it's just a lazy day. I've been slow moving this a.m. too and I'm kind of enjoying it.
MAMMA You snuck in! Good morning. My sil put a new filter under the sink a couple of weeks ago. I have them done every 3 months. The refrigerator is every 6 months. Yes! it definitely helps the water taste better. Our water is really a disaster here. We get letters warning us but they do little/nothing about it. I don't drink water from our tap.

Greenback...I just read about your fall. I'm glad you are staying a bit longer and that the kids will make sure you get back home safely. Hope you aren't too sore.

Down here the water is so bad that we have a 5 filter RO system. It's quite a job replacing all of them.

Good morning Ladies. It's almost noon,but still morning yet. I'm just sitting around doing not much of anything. My biggest job is to let Josey in and out. She was just out to lay in the sun for awhile. I can't say I blame here, it's so cold in here, and it was so hot when I left home, I never thought about warm clothes. Grammy, can you share a flannel shirt. I have a blanket over my legs.
I am staying until Fri and then they will bring me home when they get off work. I feel bad as I know they were looking forward to staying home, as the long drive gets old, and they are the ones that have to make the trip to everyone else, o one seems to have time to come to them. We were all concerned about how it would go when I stopped on the way back. I did stop 3 times on the way out, but that long of a ride bothers my legs and I'm sure they were just not recouped from the drive and that's what caused the fall.
CJ. How sad that it took so long for the power to be restored for your mom. You will be lonesome for a the kids this week. It was cute about the triplets names.
Ic, I know you and Tinker will both be happy to see Christina again.
Good news that you were okay, and do having some one checking on you.
Mamma, nice to have a handyman and with such good service.
Ellie, it sounds like a good group to get together with, and bless those guys for cleaning up the kitchen.
I know I make more mistakes on here, so hope you can still understand. I just happened to think, I left a terrycloth robe here, and I am going to go get it and put it on.it

GREENBACK It's good to hear that you're taking care of yourself. The "one way" road isn't always fair for your family. I think that happens more often than we think. I'm picturing you with your terry robe on! Believe it or not, I was very tempted to get my winter robe on this a.m. when I got up.

Elle I can't make the peanut butter pie. I checked my cupboard & no graham cracker crust. Maybe in the next few days I'll make some lemon bars. I think I have everything I need to make them. When I get off here I plan on making the batter for zucchini pancakes.
Jane I'm glad you have a ride home. Take it easy for awhile & let yourself heal from the fall. When I'm laying on the couch watching TV I cover up with a blanket when the AC is on. I go to bed with socks on. My feet are always cold.

Elle...I had my fleece robe on last night...LOL. It sure felt good and cozy. Those days are not that far off anymore. As much as I love Fall, I don't look forward to the long winter.
Yup...I'm missing the kids already...just knowing they will be gone all week and then it will be almost another week till I have them again.
Sitting on the swing and thinking I need a sweatshirt on. I have shorts on, but I think some long sleeves would be good. It's 71 but still feels cool. It's that fall feeling in the air.

I must have the hot spot in the GN. Other than MAMMA. It's 77*. I was sitting on the deck earlier and the sun was actually warm.
ICOOK Well, If you don't mind, I'll QC the lemon bars too. LOL You're usually in the kitchen and I enjoy my kitchen too. I just wish I had more to share it with. LOL
CJ I'm not looking forward to the season that's coming after fall either. I need to enjoy days like today!
My lawn is getting mowed now. And supposed to spray the weeds too. So thankful for SIL who does this for me.

Oh my goodness gracious it's 118°. Mandy and I have been in the house since 1:00 all the shades are pulled and drawn and we aren't leaving again till 8:00 tonight
