Going to be another humid day so AC will be running. Called Christina last night. She sounds so much better & will be coming on Tuesday. Just going to dry swiff floors & dust this weekend now that she is coming. Might make a peanut butter pie.

Good morning, help yourselves to coffee. I slept in a bit and now the Yeti is making breakfast. I don't know what is on the plan today, but it is a bit breezy out right now. There's plenty to do if I find the ambition. I should get my sewing machine out and I could get some of that done too. I was in second grade yesterday, 12 kids, small classes it seems like this year, but that's ok. Ran into the sub lady from the other school too, it sounds like I can be as busy as I want.

Good morning.
It's quite warm out there already and no breeze either. A load of laundry in the washer, sheet to wash and a trip to UPS with a lot of Amazon returns. Some things just aren't what I hoped for or should be. The house needs a good cleaning but it will get done slowly so I don't sweat so badly. UGH. Even with a/c at 79 it's too warm for hard work. Grammy I would love your 70º in the house when I'm cleaning.
Last night I really enjoyed having Dish Network back. I watched some shows that I really enjoy and aren't on any streaming apps that I have. The tech was so nice and so helpful. He even came back when I called to tell him that my DVD wasn't hooked up. I need an adapter since there aren't enough HDMI slots on the tv. He wrote down what to get, with a diagram and said to call and he will hook it up for me. That is what I call good service. Now to get to WM and get the part.
The next three days we are in yet another excessive heat warning. I do hope this will be the last one. I really want to get out and walk with Mandy. ?? What did I just say? I want to walk? Yes, I need to lose some weight as does Mandy. We both need to get up and get moving.
Laurie, how nice to have someone cook for you. Does he do his clean up too?
IC, that will be nice to have Christina back. I know you really miss her and her help.

Getting ready for our day outing. Going to a
museum near Tampa. Where the carnival people
live and it is a museum of their people I am
thinking. Should be interesting.

Goodmorning grannies, not a rainy day just a cloudy day the sun will come out later. I don't even remember the last time I sat here with coffee watching a beautiful sunrise. Clouds, rain, fog and smoke an haze I don't often get to see a sunrise.
Laurie how nice to have a dh that cooks, mine only thought the kitchen was a place to eat! He could do dishes now and then or make a sandwich for his lunch.
IC glad to hear that Christina will is better and will be back with you soon. Take it easy the would will get done. Tell me what time the PB pie will be ready for some CQ I'll be there.
Mamma nice that you are now enjoying your TV shows again. Sometimes even a service man can be so nice and helpful!
I have a few projects saved up to do while the family is away. Some sewing, some organizing and a few other things so time to move on or they will be back home before I get those things done. There's a pesky fly in here and eliminating it will be my first task!

Good Saturday morning, where did the week go?? Whew! it flew by. And it took some of the heat and humidity with it! Yay! The sun is coming out now and then but the clouds are sticking around too. I think the sun is supposed to stick around this afternoon. The kids came last night and the Chinese food was good. I have enough left for today. DSIL came later so DD and I got to walk before he came. But after he came and ate, he did turn my mattress. Now that's done for a while. I have laundry to do today and also want to clean the family room and kitchen. I also have ribs that I need to separate in portions so freeze for later. Tomorrow evening is Prime Time at the church and I will be making a broccoli salad to take to that.
ICOOK Good news! that Christina is feeling better. Now wait a minute!! I want some peanut butter pie too. Maybe Grammy, me and you can share it and spend the rest of the time chatting!
LAURIET Twelve does sound like a small class. Is the school in a small community?
MAMMA I'm glad you had a good experience with the Dish tech. It isn't always that way. And isn't it relaxing to find the programs we like. I need to look at my program and see if there's some I can take off and lower my bill. There's so many channels that I do not and will not watch. But I think they know how to put the good ones with the bad to make us pay the amount they want us too. That's not just Dish, I think it's all of them. I keep my a/c at 76* when it's super hot, but otherwise, 77*.
CAROLYN Enjoy the museum! I bet it'll be interesting to see the figures. Do they have them in circus character? Be safe with the hurricane season!!
GRAMMY It sounds like you have enough to keep you busy while your family is gone. No interruptions either. Speaking of the fly, at the Cabin we've had a pesky fly at our table. Last week one of my friends went to the barista and asked if they had a fly swatter, they did! But, that fly knew the swatter was there and seem to evade it and finally left our table. But we had a lot of laughs trying to swat the dumb (???who was dumb?? LOL) fly.
I hope Greenback had a safe trip and is enjoying her family and especially the "little man."
Time to get something done. The mail just went.

Elle, you are so right, junk channels thrown in to make it look like you have so many choices to watch. Out of 190 channels, I only watch 28. Too many shopping channels, religious channels and sports, all of which I will not ever watch. It makes me laugh to think of all of the garbage they add in a package to make it sound so good. hehehe And yes, it's all the companies. I'm finally down to turning my mattress twice a year. When it's new I've been told to turn it every three months. And as poorly as mattress are made it needs to be turned often or you lie in a pit.
Grammy, I liked the times I was alone to get things done too. Now not so much.
Cloud as rolling in. It would be nice if it was cloudy all day to keep the temp down a bit.

Good Afternoon....
It's cloudy and humid out there. Even with the temp outside at 68, it is muggy...so the a/c is still on here to keep the humidity out of the house.
We had quite the storm Thursday night. Heavy rain, lightening, thunder and very windy. A top to one of the garbage cans blew off and flew across the patio, hitting my Christmas cactus that was sitting on a stand. Knocked it right off and it landed upside down.  Was able to repot it and hopefully it will survive. Lots of trees/limbs down around town. No damage at my house. Rain gauge showed 4 1/2 inches over Wed and Thurs. My mom has been without power since Thurs night. Hoping it will be restored by this evening.
Yesterday was the grandkids. Lots of playing and following Teddy around..LOL DH was with his brother tending to their mom for a few hours in the morning and another couple in the afternoon. He is doing lunch duty for a few days, then his brother will do it for a few. They share that responsibility. Assisting Hands could bring it to her, but they like to check in with her and visit a little...just to make sure she is doing ok. Eventually, they will probably have Assisting Hands do that...although they will still be checking on her.
DD and family left this morning for a week up north. The other grandparents will be up there too. DD & DSIL still have to work but it will still be nice to be away for a bit. The grandparents will keep an eye on the kids during the day.
I've been getting some things done around here that have been put off. Glad to have that done...there's still more, but that will be another day.
Grammy...if you had a indoor cat, that fly would be caught...LOL LOL My Oscar cat is good at catching flies.
Have a great day everyone....towels are dry and time to fold and put away.

I got the floors swiffed I know I won't get all the dusting done today.
CJ My AC has been on a lot this summer. It's nice that your DH & his brother are sharing helping there mom.
Elle & Grammy Both of you for quality control for the pie. That's good I don't think I'll be making it today. Did enough doing the floors
Mamma I keep my AC set at 79 & I'm cold laying on the couch as where the vent is the AC really hits me.

CJ years ago when the girls were young we had a cat. He would climb the basement wall to catch a cricket! We never knew how a cricket could get in there.
Elle, so you think IC will make try to make that PB pie and keep it all for herself?
Been doing some sorting and tossing out of some stuff. I have to take frequent SSD times . My back is a bothersome thing I can't do much bending. Weeding and this sorting need a back that will bend and keep working.
