Just a quick hello before I hit the shower and get thing in the car and then head out for the weekend. The computer tells me it's 70 and rain coming - it is dark out, but now it is saying rain to stop - - Well, I do not believe it ever started.
Hope you all have a good weekend and that it will be cooler for those who have been sweltering in this heat wave. I'm anxious to see the kids and Dawson.

Safe travels and a wonderful time with the kids this weekend Jane!!!!!
Yesterday I went over my budget about 6 times to make sure I had it all correct. After doing that I called Dish Network and set things up for them to get me back on their service. I love all my streaming apps, but am missing some of the shows that I can't get on them. So I bit the bullet, so to speak, and Dish will be installed this morning. The local channels are provided by the park so I don't need them on the Dish package, saving me $12. I did add the three Hallmark channels, and whatever comes with them, for $6. I'm so excited to have some of my shows back and still have the option of my streaming apps. Yes, I do watch a lot of television. Not much else to do in the summer. And I don't socialize with the snowbirds in the winter. I like to avoid all the drama and conflict around here.
Jill took me out for steak supper last night, for caring for her plants while she was gone. I really enjoy Jills company. But the steak was so full of touch cords that I left more than I ate. There isn't much of anything nice that I can say about the food, but the service was good. At least I got out and had a good time with Jill.
The hearing in my left ear is fading so before I go to the audiologist I ordered some aides from Amazon, that will be coming today. I don't want to spend much more at this time. There are other more important things that need to get done first....like batteries for the golf cart. If the aides don't work I can send them back for a refund. It's worth a try anyway.
Time to wash up and get ready for the call from the Dish Network tech.

Good morning, I haven't been outside but it's windy and we're already in the upper 70's. It's supposed to be in the mid to upper 80's today. I have a load of laundry in the dryer and I will be washing another load too. The sheets are off of the bed and will be changed. DD and SIL are coming tonight and they're going to turn my mattress so my sheets won't be put on until they come. It's going to be Chinese food for supper. I got groceries and did some cleaning yesterday. I plan to do some cleaning today too.
GREENBACK Be safe, perfect weather, and a wonderful time with your family. I bet you'll see a big difference in Dawson too. He is growing up so fast. It's nice that you can help by babysitting for him.
MAMMA I agree, even though the food isn't the best, it's the company I agree with you that that is what makes it worth time etc. I have Dish too. I also have Hulu so I was able to drop some channels and watch them on Hulu. Hulu if free to me since DD added me to their plan. Did you get the dust taken care of? You really do work hard and steady on that.

Elle, all my streaming apps are paid for by Lincoln so to me they are free. And I have added some free ones too. I won't give them up either. Yes, the dirt got all cleaned up outside. I have to keep up with the outside or it ends up getting tracked inside. Desert life is dusty. hehehe How nice to have help and supper guests too. PS. I've been doing much better too.
High today of 109 and 117 by Monday. Ugh. It's been a rough summer or I'm just getting old and have less tolerance. The humidity has been the biggest issue of all.

Goodmorning grannies, a really hot and very humid morning! Temp was 79* and humidity 90% when I got up about 6 this morning! Talk about air you could wear I thought I might change to a swim suit. Wow! Those numbers are still on the in/out thermometer and it's cloudy and dark enough to rain.
Greenback I know you're excited to get to spend some time with you kids. Safe travels and enjoy the time with just Grandma and Dawson to make a few memories while stealing a smooch or two
Mamma I'm not much of a TV watcher but I know lots of people are. I'm sure you will enjoy some of your favorite shows. I also have to say eating out is about friends not food so sorry the food wasn't as good as expected sounds like it was a good time with a friend. If you have to get hearing aids I hope there is a Costco nearby, they are about 1/2 the cost of others. Check your insurance also. DD insurance paid for hers, the same hearing aids as Costco just different name.
elle the sun is trying to pop out now so maybe no rain.
The family all left for VA. Beach so it's quiet here for a few days. I've just been puttering around this morning doing a few little jobs. People will be checking on me frequently by visit and phone. I've already had a call from #2 she will call again tonight!
Almost lunch time,hope they left something good for me!

Grammy, no Costco in Yuma, just Sams, and I don't have a membership. Thanks, when I need to I'll check with my insurance. How nice that your family is checking on you. I'm thinking of getting one of those "help I've fallen and can't get up" buttons. No one to check on me other than from MN and that's a bit far to come running. Not sure if that is in my budget or not. Keep cool inside.
Just got a message, my tech should be here within the hour.

Went to the porch for a while.
Put tea tree oil in my ankles n wrists (skeeters)
love me. That is a non chemical repellant.
Tomorrow we are going to Gibsonton about 20
miles from Tampa. It is the home of the carnival
people and there is a museum.
That should be fun.

CAROLYN There's also a Tree Tea shampoo for particular problems. It's interesting the "natural" things we have and aren't aware of their purpose and uses.
GRAMMY The humidity is high here too. I went out just a few minutes ago and I thought it has dropped? Not sure but it didn't seem so heavy.
MAMMA I'm not much of a TV watcher but it's on late afternoon until I go to bed. I wish I had an antennae for the local channels. Mine got blown over shortly after DH passed and they're expensive. Concerning your P.S. I'm so thankful!! you're tough!! Hugs!!!
