Good morning! There is fresh coffee and some bagels if you want any. It's another ooey gooey morning out there, my laundry didn't dry on the line yesterday, so off to the dryer it went. There is a load in the washer now that will go straight to the dryer too. The pup has a vet visit in a while, other than that, the day is ours. Yesterday I went through some mystery boxes in the basement, lots of garbage and organizing there. I'll go back and try to finish in a bit. I got some squash/zucchini gifted to me, they are shredded in the freezer and the kitchen is cleaned up from the cooking extravaganza last night. We stayed in for our anniversary and the Yeti cooked, so I need to put a big stockpot back in the canning room where I store them. Tomorrow I am in 2nd grade, first day of this school year, surprised to be working so early, I am going to be more selective this year though. Better get something done or I won't get anything done. Stay cool and drink water. Blessed be!

No sun here today & it's going to be chilly Only in the low 70's In the 60's right now. No shorts today I put capris on. Hair cut at noon Tinker goes for her shot this afternoon She really needs it. She's getting pretty red from licking & scratching. A friend of mine from Meals On Wheels is taking me. Tinker is a crazy woman in the car. Can't drive & hold her too.

Good Morning...
We had a doozy of a thunder storm last night. It rained, lightening, thunder and wind for about an hour...then could hear it for, probably, another hour moving farther away. Lots of dead branches fell from the trees in the yard. No damage, just a mess to clean up. And 3.5 inches of rain. It's still quite breezy and very muggy. The temps aren't too bad in the low 70's. The a/c will go on in a little bit as the temp rises.
DMIL was down in the dumps again last night when we went to check on her. She says she is so lonely. And she won't wear the life alert braclet anymore. Says if she rolls over in bed, it goes off and then there are people standing over her asking if she's okay. She did go for a little walk in the hall yesterday as DBIL made her. Guess this is how she's going to be.
Lauriet...Happy Anniversary.
GrammyDebbie....the pork chop recipe was very good. Only thing is I have a problem with chops always being dry and tough....especially boneless ones. We have enough for tonight...so no big cooking other than a veggie to go with it.
I'll get a load of laundry going in a few minutes. DH went out for a walk. Lots of areas in town are without power...we are the lucky ones that have it.
Have a great day............

Goodmorning grannies, stormy weather for several hours this morning Lightening and thunder started around 3 AM later the rain came down. No wind but a lot of rain to send the humidity up making it a day to sweat! I'll stay inside where it's comfy with my book and blankie. No matter what the outside temp is the temp in here seldom goes over 71. Upstairs it's lots warmer.
Laurie it's back to school time for lots of kids and teachers too. This was the week for them to get started. Glad to hear that your plan is to be a little more selective in you work time. More time for you! Dh cooking your anniversary dinner sounds sweet. I'm sure it was something good.
CJ sounds like the stormy weather might have been a little worse for you. I have no idea how much rain we got but it came down hard a few times. The sun is out now so the temp and humidity will be on the rise! Sorry to hear the MIL isn't out of her room mixing with others more.
IC hope Tinker gets to the Vet OK. How nice that the Meals On W. lady is taking you.
This has been a mixed up week for me! I have had trouble remembering what day it is! This morning I was in the shower when I remembered that this isn't shower day. Several years ago the Dermatologist said old dry skin shouldn't be showered every day unless necessary. Since then I have tried to keep to the every other day schedule and this wasn't the day!
Nothing more exciting going on here. I did sit in my chair sipping my coffee and watching a hawk catch a chipmunk! Life on the Little Farm is quiet today. The new Miss Kitty does attempt to catch the birds at the feeder. I send her back to the deck of the barn! The hose makes her move a little faster she doesn't like to be wet.

Good morning, I have had breakfast that consisted of a deviled egg, a corn on the cob and 3 small very ripe peaches. Now, how is that for a menu? My kids in South Carolina want me to visit them. Maybe we can get together at Christmas. Right now I am so anxious to see my little dude. Of course I want to see all of them and my house. 😊 I have a blanket over my legs, always cold.
Hope all of you have a wonderful day. 😎 Happy Anniversary Laurie And May more.

Good Morning Ladies - - I got side tacked and didn't get here right away. I have a small load in the washer which is likely ready for the dryer now. Last night Jen called me on her way home from work. It was 6:20 and she was just on her way home. She is on OT now and has to work Sat. again and it is Daren's Sat. to work also. She was wondering if I had anything planned or if I could come. She said we could celebrate Dawson's BD early then too, if I would like to. So I told her I would get my stuff together and come tomorrow. I haven't been there as much this summer, since everyone is gone all day now. I got the map out last night and planned my route - I seem to take a different route each time - on this end. Trying to find the smoothest and most interesting, easy route. Once I get on hwy. 20, it's smooth sailing but very boring. This time I am going to do some of the west traveling on this end first and then head down Interstate 35 until I get to 20. I am also going to remind myself that I need to get out and move more than once too! Looking forward to seeing all of them, since I haven't seen them since Memorial Day weekend. I was having coffee here on Tue. but called the next gal and asked if she wanted to have it or if they should go downtown, but she said she would have it. I said even if I am back then, I wouldn't be ready, or even have groceries. So I will just wait and have it the next week. Laurie, nice that Todd made the supper for you!! Enjoy having a reasonably easy day. Glad to hear that you are going to be more selective on teaching. I know those kids are getting a good teacher when they have you, but you need more me time too, with all of the other things you have going. IC, nice that you have someone to take you to the vet. I was wondering how you were going to manage Tinker. CJ, nice you could get rain, but storms are a different story.. The grass is getting brown again here. I was sorry to hear that your MIL is so unhappy again. She seemed to be more outgoing at the other place but now back to her former personality. Grammy, more rain and storms for you too! Sometimes it's hard to keep the days straight. When I get mixed up it is usually Fri. & Sat. and sometimes even Sun. I have heard that too, that you shouldn't bath so often if you have dry skin. Keep chasing that naughty kitty away. Carolyn, that is some breakfast! I could go for the deviled egg! I'm sure the SC kids would love having you come too. I can imagine you want to see that baby and will really notice the change in him.

Good morning. Well it's still morning here anyway. I had a busy morning. Took Mandy out then started a load of laundry, made the bed, and took the garbage down. Before I started the dryer I head out to get the celery that I forgot to pick up yesterday when I was with Jill.
The Golden Coral crab salad is now done and in the fridge chilling and getting yummy for tomorrows lunch. Shredding the faux crab takes the longest to do. I'm so hungry for that salad that I may not be able to wait until tomorrow. Oh how I love that dish. I'm going to share a bit with Jill since she has never had it before. I won't be able to eat it all before I get tired of it.
I still have the clean up to do and then will get Annie-vac on to clean the floors. Since the power went out in the craft room She was not being charged. Now she is ready to get to work. The floors really need to be cleaned too. I do behind the stuff with cords and she does the rest. Big help for me and my arms. I love how she does such a good job on the rugs. It saves me from shaking them out all the time.
The high temps are rolling back in this weekend. And I'm hoping that the dew point doesn't come back with the temps. I've had enough humidity this year to last me a life time.
Time to get busy and finish up with the to do list.

Hello again, just got home from the vet. The consensus is that something didn't absorb/heal completely from last time, so I hope this is it. Rx for 24 days. Had to take a shower and now will find something to sort out, there are still some boxes in the garage that need my attention.
