Morning grannies Opened two days in a row. I've been getting up earlier lately. I'll be doing cleaning today since Christina wasn't here. I get blood work this morning. Want to go to the farmers market to get more veggies. Won't be long before there won't be anymore.

Good morning grannies, it's a beautiful morning with sunshine and blue sky. Temp only going to the low 70s today. That's a bit chilly for August! feels more like a Sept morning. Never fear, summer isn't over yet. The temps will be going up starting tomorrow getting warmer each day for awhile!
IC good morning to you, are you turning into the early bird inthe "hood? Those fresh veggies are nice they come and go too quickly. Our green beans seem to be one thing that wasn't a total wash out in the garden.Several eggplant are in pots and doing well there. I'm still wishing for the tomato pie but it prob won't happen.
Time for me to get moving, the garden wasn't a total washout there are green beans waiting for me to break up for our supper. When that job is finished dd wants some help to prepare food for a baby shower that will be tomorrow. This isn't catering just helping a friend. Other than those jobs it's will be me and Kindle!

Good morning to all. It is a beautiful day here, but temps rising quickly starting tomorrow with several 100 degree days coming in a row. My morning walk was awesome.
Breakfast was cereal with blueberries and a homemade biscuit with fig jam. I then changed the bed, did my hair, and unloaded the dishwasher. Today is pay day for Mike so I have figured the checkbook, paid some bills, and wrote a check for church.
I got the apartment cleaned yesterday so I think today I am going to start gathering up some stuff that I will no longer use (or have not used since I've been up here) and start taking things back home. There was talk of a new job starting mid-September until the first of November, but also this job is being extended by another add-on project so we may be staying here longer. Either way, I want to start moving stuff home as I can. This cool weather has given me thoughts of fall and being at home! Might as well do what I can to make it easier on us when we do have to move from here.
Grammy, our two tomato plants on the patio are not doing well either. We finally have a few tomatoes on them, they are still green and not nearly as big as they usually grow for us.
Good morning, IC Cook. Hope you find lots of veggies at the market.
Carolyn, good idea to get a second opinion on your knee.
Time to do something productive--wishing all a great day!

Good morning. Last night I slept so good that I didn't wake up until 7. I was surprised that Mandy didn't wake me up earlier. Bless her heart for letting me sleep.
Windy and warm, as usual. Heading out to water Jills plants and then head to WM and see if I can get in for a hair cut before I animal control grabs me. I may pick up a couple things as long as I am in there. Not much else planned unless I change the sheets later.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a beautiful morning here also! Just 71 now and sunny and it's about 10:40. Tomorrow starts the hot weather with Sunday being the hottest. I had a nice time yesterday with the gals and it was a good day for the road trip. The sad part was that the one gals partner is in the hospital after having a stroke - He was in a bigger hospital, but back to the local one for inpatient PT. She said he would be there through the weekend. This reminds me that I didn't tell you what happened to my DDIL last week. She was at work when she blacked out - never passed out completely, but everything went black and she got sat down so she didn't fall. They called 911 and Daren and she had a ride to the hospital and they thought she was having a stroke, as she couldn't mover her right leg and lost the feeling on the right side of her face. They took her right back for a CT scan and that showed no stroke and then did ad EKG and some other tests and ruled out a heart attack. Long story -short, they deceided she had vertigo and then discovered some bone spurs on the base of her neck that sometimes push on a nerve that floods blood to the brain and makes her light headed. She's feeling pretty good again and has some exercises to do and just needs to be careful on how much she stands and lifts for a bit. I feel so bad for her, she has had so many medical problems and surgeries. IC, enjoy your veggies - - I would like a couple of cucks to make a salad, and should go get some, but just don't. I wouldn't mind another head of cabbage and some green beans also. Carolyn, that's a good idea to leave some of your things down there and travel light. Hope you find out something on your knee. I need to do something more about mine. Grammy, I love fresh green beans - enjoy yours tonight. what will you be making for the shower? I know it will be something good! My neighbor has a couple of tomatoes in big pots but they don't get anything very big off of them either. Not all that many either. Debbie, sounds like your walk was very enjoyable this morning. I never see those markdown prices on meat here. Only some outdated and beat up things or stale bread at the one store, but I seldom go there anyway. Would the new job be located where you could stay at this same apartment? Mamma, I was glad to see that your gas cap was turned in. I don't even have one on this vehicle, so I don't have to worry about that - - the last one has a strip connected to it, that just hung on it so it wouldn't go anywhere while you were filling it. I often call for handicapped assistance these days when I am not feeling very steady. They actually encourage me to do that and even for my grocery items I get there - but then I am pretty much a regular there. Glad you could sleep in longer today.
Hope everyone has a good day today!!!

Jane, from time to time I suffer from Vertigo and the first time it happened I was really scared. It lasted all day long too. I'm so relieved to hear the it was just that and nothing more serious for your sweet DDIL.
This morning after my chores I headed out to WM for a hair cut and got right in. So far I think she did a really good job. It's different that usual, but even after washing it lays nicely. I picked up some toothpaste and batteries as long as I was there. Silly me forgot the shampoo though. I need to write things down and not rely on my poor memory.
Now I'm washing the clothes that are in the hamper. We are to get rain the next few days starting later tonight. Two loads but they are small. I won't be able to hang anything on lines and expect them to dry in the rain. So I'm ahead of schedule. Sheets tomorrow. Maybe I won't have to water Jills plants either. She sent me a text yesterday and said she is coming home next week, but no date. I'll be happy to be done with the watering, it has been so hot outside.
Mushroom cheese omelet and toast for lunch. No idea what supper will be. I have some hamburger out from yesterday, just don't know what to do with it. It used to be fun to cook. Now it stinks. hehehe
Well better get up and moving here.

Debbie It's nice here & the AC is off for a few days Warming up again on Sunday.
Jane How scary for your DDIL Glad she is better now Good news that it wasn't a stroke. I had vertigo once. Earl had to take me to the hospita.
Grammy I thought of you when I was sitting outside this morning. I was about ready to come in for a long sleeved flannel shirt.

Good evening all. Here I am, late, but it was a busy day. I slept in a bit, went to bed in a funk and would've stayed in bed longer, but had to "go." So, up and got some laundry taken care of, about half was dry earlier so I'll get the rest after bit. I went to a Festival of Tables with my aunt and my sister met us there and we were with people from book club. This is a fundraiser for the local hospital auxiliary. Each table has a theme, our's was nature and herbs. The hostess for the table picks her theme and decorates the table. Our hostess and her sister had two tables, the other was Cowboy Christmas. Everyone has the same meal, but the hostess does the dessert for her table that is tied to the theme-we were mint chocolate torte/her other table was cowboy cookies and ice cream. The hummingbird table had a hummingbird cake for dessert, it made me think of Lily. Some other themes were up north, logging camp, hummingbird, fairyland, Italy, Pedals, Fall Fun, Patriotic and something else. Then they have raffles, I won a set of 4 pretty glasses that are a cranberry color with a pattern on them, I have two green ones similar, they'd be pretty on a holiday table. The rest of my raffle basket was a cocktail theme with cherries, olive, blood orange ginger beer, orange slices and some cocktail decorations, all in a basket. There were baskets of a variety of themes and then the biggest one was a lot of gift certificates and it was valued at $750, mine had a value of about $100. Our table hostess also sent us each home with a potted herb. It was a fun day, who knew how chatty a bunch of ladies could be?
Tomorrow is a few stops, then the History Center, then the farm and church. I found some organizational things on Facebook Marketplace and my sister's BIL picked them up as they were in his town and wouldn't let me pay for them as they were for the center. He was going to drop them off at sister/BIL's today. His IL's are members, so he said to count it as a tiny donation to a good cause, that was really nice. Supper is over, the dishwasher is unloaded and I've about 1/2 load of laundry to bring in yet, I proofed the newsletter for my aunt and I plan to sit on my butt for now. I got called to day to sub next Friday. The school here opened early as they are having construction next spring and need to be out by then, so I'm in Second Grade one day next week.
BBL, have a good night.
