Good Morning Ladies - - - Another nice morning, and we will see if it stays that way! Things are going to be heating up - Sat. and Sun. to be very warm or maybe I should just say HOT! Nothing happening here yet, I need to get in the shower and get ready to go to lunch with my friends. The one will be here at 10:30. I had an English muffin as we usually don't eat until around 1:00. IC, I hope your appointment goes well. Hope everyone has a nice day - - -

Good morning. Well not as good as I had hoped. At 4 this morning I woke up with a dreaded feeling about my car. And I was right to dread. Yesterday when I filled the car with gas I forgot to put the fill cap back on. Trying to find one for the SmartCar isn't going to be easy. On my way to the doctor this morning I'll swing by and see if it is still on the pump. I highly doubt it, but worth a look see. It won't fit any other car, it is make specific. And universal fit won't work for me either. I'm so angry with myself. Just one more reason I hate to pump my own gas.
Hot and sticky already at 7. And only to get worse. But a nice cool down this weekend with a possibility of some rain. I'll be right quick about watering Jills plants this morning. Mandy was quick with her duty too.
Yesterday my new table and ice machine came. The table will work great and the ice machine is quick and will be so nice to have and not deal with spilling water from ice cube trays on the floor or in the freezer.
Well it's not getting any cooler out there so I better get moving. Then wash up again. UGH!

A nice sunny morning here too. Had a nice time with coffee friends yesterday and when I got home DSIL was mowing the grass. So that's done for another week. I got a call yesterday that the lady who was to have card club today has a sick DH so she asked if I could have it. Absolutely. She already had the food so she's bringing that. I'll add cookies and blueberry cobbler to the menu.
ICOOK I hope Christina will come. Do you get a 90 day supply of meds? Be safe when your out and about today.
GREENBACK Enjoy your day with friends too. What's the lunch menu? We don't have lunch but we've learned not to eat much before the card club because there's plenty of food when we get there.
MAMMA Maybe someone found the gas cap and turned it into the management. I hope that will be the case. I'm glad the ice machine and new table are what you wanted. Enjoy them!!

Good morning all. It's a cool and breezy overcast day here at about 58*. I am wearing long pants and long sleeves. After all of the cooking and baking for ladies aid last night, it appears we all had the same idea=wayyyyyy too much food. So, I didn't even put out the tuna pasta salad that I had made, so we'll be eating that for a bit. There was-spaghetti, tater tot hot dish, calico beans, wild rice hot dish-looked like a crock pot parking lot. Then, ring pasta salad with ham, a pasta salad with mock crab, a lettuce seven layer salad, watermelon, two kinds of pickles and bread, plus beverages. Desserts were a poke cake w/ vanilla pudding, sugar cookie bars, spice cake, two kinds of brownies, mini brownie bites, mini cupcakes and cupcakes-lots of chocolate. Each circle serves 1x/year and we used to have the December one, but technically, at 70 they don't have to do this anymore. Well, tiny church w/ fewer younger members, means that doesn't really happen, but the aunt in charge of our group said they needed to switch us to a not snowy month, tada! August! So, that's done for the year, whew! I also dropped off Rice Krispie bars and styro coffee cups (glad to see styro go out of my house, really dislike that) for the History Center event today. I need to see if MIL is going, she wants to but wasn't feeling well yesterday. The aunt who was in charge of serving was also under the weather yesterday, so her daughters-in-law served and I helped, my SIL was somewhere else "busy" but I didn't even ask where, her girls were to be there to help clean up. Clean up was fast with those of us that were there, but there weren't many at the service.
I really wish we could get all of this stuff from Dad taken care of sooner than later. Today is the day we need to make big decisions. Ugh, I hate all of this stuff, if we could just get in one room and say "what is next?" it would help. WE, the people in this house, need to get a will made up and get stuff written down and notarized and with a gold star and a happy face and whatever. I won't do this to my kids.
My plan is to keep the Nugget.
Mama-there's a place listed online autohaus.yuma that has smart car parts, with door delivery. They have one that has the tether that attaches to the car.
There, that's my morning in a nutshell. I had a cup of coffee and a cookie bar, or two, from last night. Saturday I need to pick up the Rx from WG that finally went through, not the one that I should've had, but something else. That should be better than nothing as I can only at so many Tums. I won't need to drink milk after all of the chalky calcium I'm chewing. Thanks for listening to me grump today. It must be time for me to quit as the clouds are moving out and the sky is clearing up.

Good moring grannies, it's a bright sunshiney morning with temp in the 70 and only going to the upper 70 today. No rain last no rain last night but should be getting some late today.
IC, I know what you mean about the frequent trips to the drug store. I see to go there often!
Greenback lunch with friends sounds like a nice thing for today. Hope you have something good to eat.I know there will be fun and fellowship as you spend time with fiends
Mamma what a bummer, I do hope you find the gas cap at the station. Hopefully someone turned it in to the attendant. Sounds like some nice additions to your kitchen. Filling those ice trays and getting them back to the freezer is a real challenge.
It sure is quiet in here?? Everyone must be gone. I don't have much on my "to do" list for the day just some important things like watch the birds and read my book . Hope your day is a good one!

Good Morning....
We have the kids today and tomorrow and Saturday. Not sure about how much next week. DSIL's mom had emergency surgery yesterday, so not sure how long they will be out of commission on babysitting. We are doing our part. Teddy is here now and we've been having fun. Penny will be here this afternoon, as she had a dentist appt at 11:30 and will be here after that's done.
I guess we will get more rain today. Storms are moving this way for the afternoon.
Lauriet...lots of stuff going on with you. Hope all gets taken care of with your dad soon.
Guess I'll get Teddy's lunch ready...soon it will be nap time.
Have a great day everyone....

PTL, my morning just got better. I called the gas station to see if anyone turned in the fuel cap and it was turned in and the gal had it there. So I will stop there on the way to the doctor to pick it up and put it on. I'm so happy that I'm in tears.

I sure was busy this morning. Christina never came. Had to see her Dr She was very sick with diarrhea & vomiting. I'm close with two women that deliver Meals On Wheels to me. One always comes on Thursdays She got in touch with Christina. I was very worried about her. I called her but got no response. I saw the oral surgeon. He took out the stitches. He wants to see me in two weeks again. After I left there I went to the grocery store for a few things. Bought more ice cream I've been eating lots of it Something you don't have to chew. Picked up my two meds.
Mamma Good news on your gas cap.

Hello to all. It looked like rain here earlier, around noon, but now is only partly cloudy. The weather for my early morning walk was just perfect this morning. School has started here and, oh my, did I see some interesting school outfits today as kids left their apartment and headed toward the front of the complex where the bus picks them up! One young lady (I assume it was a girl) had a dark black crew cut except for very long, and very pink curled bangs which reminded me of the 90s when DD#1 used to have the big bangs. I have to admit that after I passed her on the sidewalk, I surreptitiously turned around to take another look.
I have cleaned both bathrooms, made a homemade chocolate graham cracker crust and filled it with chocolate mousse filling and done up all my dishes. Also filled up with gas, went to my favorite grocery store and also looked up a Farmer's Market I had not been to before that is held in a nearby town on Thursdays. I did find a Tastefully Simple dealer there and was able to get some of their seasoning salt--that is the BEST!
Tonight's entree for supper will be the leftover pineapple pork chops and rice and a salad. We also have some of the pork roast and fixin's left over from last night if DH is still hungry. He is really doing so good at watching how much he eats this summer--I swear I sometimes feel like I eat more than he does!
IC Cook, sure hope Christina feels better soon. She has been such a good friend and caregiver for you!
Mama, glad you got your gas cap back!
Jane, we had English muffins for breakfast this morning, too, but mine were a baklava version out of the new Taste of Home. I made two for Mike this morning and I had one after my walk. The muffins are lightly toasted, then spread with a mixture of walnuts, pistachios, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon, then broiled and then topped with a mixture of mascarpone cheese and fig preserves and lightly drizzled with honey before serving. DH really liked them but said durned if he could explain to anyone what he was eating--LOL! By the way, he is not a fan of honey, so he skipped the drizzle of that, but I thought that made the dish. I'm always on a quest to find something different, but doable for us for meals.
CJ, Laura and Andy are lucky to have such supportive parents on both sides! I hope Andy's mom is recovering well.
Elle, what kind of cards will you be playing. Hopefully, something I know how to play so I can come and sample that blueberry cobbler!
Laurie, hugs to you as you deal with your Dad's estate--and family. Mike and I bit the bullet and did a will two years ago and we just bought our burial plots early this summer, but I don't have any final plans listed or a list of who I want to get what. Like you, having just been through Mom's passing, I need to get things in order so my girls have a better time of it than we did. We all said it was really awkward with no service for either my mom or dad. Both girls asked me if I wanted a service and I said "I guess so" and they said "good, because we were going to have one for you anyway"! Wish I had some of your tuna pasta salad!
Grammy, we get texts from our pharmacy: "do you want to get your prescriptions arranged so that they coincide with renewing at the same time?" We reply "yes", but to no avail! And if you don't get the meds picked up after they send the first text, the subsequent texts get increasingly demanding!
Time to get the sunscreen on and make my way to the pool. I do believe I am more than than I have been in years even though I very faithfully lather on the SPF 50 sunscreen every day. I am enjoying the pool while I have the opportunity.
Wishing all a thankful Thursday!

DEBBIE We played domino's then a card game called Golf. It was fun. Thanks for asking. It is "interesting???" to say the least when seeing the rainbow of colors of hair. I've already seen some over 50 that had it too. LOL
