Good morning to you! Sitting here w/ my gr. niece looking for some motivation. We're heading to the basement to look for a board game-I think she wants to use the stair lift myself, we'll see. BBL

Good morning
It's a pretty nice morning with a lower dew point. I even got to sit and chat with Mary in the pet area for a bit instead of running home to the a/c as soon as Mandy was done.
A load of clothes is in the washer, some will get hung outside. The dryer should be done before church. I'll be going IN to church today. I've had some good days so hopefully the tears will stay at bay during church too. After church I need to stop and get some softener salt. Mary told me of a place that sells 25 pound bags and will put them in your car for you. I can handle 25 pounds but 40 is too much for this ole gal with bad arms. If I need to I know Mike will help me. The smaller bags won't tax him either. He's a big strong dude. hehehe
Not much else planned for today. A day of rest is good even if it is the second day in a row. LOL

Good Morning Ladies - - - I've been to church and stopped at KS on my way home, so had my Sunday morning church treat of a breakfast sandwich - AND - got banana's too, so one of those. I only got 3 because the ripen way to fast in this weather. They gave scholarships out to the kids heading off to college soon, and it was kind of cute, as when Pastor went to do the children's sermon, there were no little kids to come up, so 3 of the college bound kids went up and sat on the step with him. My legs aren't working well at all today and I'm sure the weather is a big factor in that. It is only 69 and when I came out of church there were those little pin point drops on the windshield. It will be a lay low day for me, but most Sundays are.
Laurie, I bet she will come up with lots of idea's to go up and down the steps - - Just like a ride at the amusement park! I guess that's easy enough entertainment as long as it doesn't get to be a problem.
Mamma, glad you are getting a little break from the heat. Our lawns have greened up again after our 2 half in. rains. Hopefully more today. Nice that you are getting out to go to church today. It will break up your day and not be so long. There are people willing to give you help if the salt is to heavy, but I know, like you, I like to do what I can, but do realize when I need to ask and accept help.

Tinker woke me up at 8:30 this morning GGRRRR I got to work right away. I had a London Broil thawed. Cut some of it into chunks so I can make soup or stew. The rest is cooking in my crock pot for supper I'll put some carrots in & make mashed potatoes
Jane After I get done swiffing floors today no cleaning for me the rest of the week. A busy week. Tinker goes for her physical & shot on Tuesday. Thursday I see the oral surgeon to remove the stitches. Friday I get blood work The lab comes to my apartment for that.

A nice day in this corner of the "hood. Temp is 85 but the humidity is low. As little shade and it's quite pleasant out there.
It was church and lunch that's about it for the day.
Laurie hope you found something entertaining for the niece, riding the stair climber could be lots of fun!
Mamma nice that you found someone to chat with while Mandy takes care of business and has a little romp.
Greenback that was cleaver idea for the college bound kids to replace the little ones.
IC sounds like a busy week ahead of you. Take it easy for a few days till you heal a little more.
Nothing else on my schedule for the afternoon that must mean it's Kindle time. I'm reading The Shell Seekers I know it's an old book but I finally decided to read it. DD said it's one of her all time favorites. I'll spend some time reading that.

Hi Everyone....
It's a very pleasant day with temps in the upper 70's and sunny. DD, DSIL and the kids were here to park and go down to the festival. Penny got a unicorn painted on her forehead.
DH & I went out for breakfast this morning. Neither of us slept well last night, so we didn't make it to church. We've never been to this place before and we weren't overly happy with our omelets. I'm not really a omelet person, but I got one today. Doubt we will go back.
Trying to think what supper will be. I have a flat iron steak in the freezer that I should probably get out. Then I could grill that with some little red potatoes and corn on the cob. That sounds like a plan to me.

I's sunny and in the mid 80's. The humidity isn't too bad either. Normal Sunday here, church, lunch, checking out the GN, and fresh food for the hummers. They have been so active. I have 2 feeders and one hummers wants both of them. LOL I love watching them. Next is probably going to be a nap. The coming week is the regular things plus I think it's game day Thursday.
LAURIE What game, (other than the stair lift) did you choose to play?
MAMMA I hope you get help with lifting the softener. I have very little strength in my body anymore. Even open a jar can be a real challenge.
GREENBACK It sounds like you have some good kids in your church. They'll be missed when they leave for college. I ate my the last banana that I had for lunch yesterday. I don't always have them on hand. Right now I'm loving the cucumbers, tomatoes and sweetcorn. The season will be over all too soon for me.
ICOOK The roast/stew sounds good. I have a large roast in my freezer that I really do need to use. So maybe this will be a good thing for me to make with it.
GRAMMY Sunday's a wonderful days but also some of the hardest for me. Sometimes just plain boring. So far, today is good and now it's nap time. I plan on no dreams or good dreams. LOL

No church for me. During my online service with my hometown church, dizziness over took me hard. I slowly headed to my bed and laid there for over two hours. No church at all for me. Nauseous and tired now, so not leaving the house or my chair. I don't want to take any chances of dizziness hitting me at a bad time. I'll stay in my chair where I'm safe. I wish I knew what caused the spell.

Mamma I turned the TV off while laying on the couch. Think I dozed off. I still feel tired. Do you have vertigo? I got that once. Earl had to take me to the hospital.

After some toast and juice I started to feel better. I've slept most of the afternoon away and hope that I can sleep tonight.
IC, this wasn't vertigo, although I do get that some times but that lasts all day long. This was only for a couple hours thank God. Not sure what the issue was. I did check my BP and it was quite good.
Nibbling on some watermelon now and trying to think of something for supper. I know what I want but too hot to even turn on the outside toaster oven. We are in an excessive heat warning for the rest of the week. UGH! This summer has been just terrible. I really dread having to go out and water Jills plants this coming week. Taking Mandy out is bad enough.
Oh dear I just can't wake up now. Time for some peppy music to get my feet a tapping and my blood pumping. LOL

MAMMA I'm thankful you're feeling better. Just a thought, and I'm definitely not a Dr. or medical professional, but make sure you're not dehydrated. With the terrible temps you're having maybe drink more water than you usually do. Take care of yourself.
