Good Morning....
It's a little overcast this morning, but still very pleasant out there. I've had my coffee on the swing and now on to other things. I see all the hostas need the flower stems clipped. They are done flowering and look messy.
I finally have a few ripe tomatoes...so BLT's will be happening here tonight or tomorrow. My garden has been late in producing for me this year.
We had a real nice time with friends last night. We met up at a mexican restaurant nearby for supper. It was good and we got to catch up with them.
Nothing much else happening around here yet. Have a good day everyone............

Good morning. And it is just so nice outside, so far. No high dew point, 85, no wind....yet. Hot and windy day for the next 3 days. It won't pay to do any cleaning of the carport today. So I'll just water Jills plants and no more outside. Mandy was slow and nosey this morning so we were in the smelly pet area longer than we should have been.
Today is our 45th wedding anniversary so I need to keep busy and maybe even out of the house. It's going to be a very long day. I'm thinking of finding my way to Lowes and get a palm plant for the living room. I always got flowers/plants on our anniversary. So I think I should still get one even if it is from myself. The other day I saw a plant that I really liked at WM. But of course there was no tag to know what it was. I need a plant that can survive on very little sunlight.
IC, I never did get the dusting done the other day. Today would be a good day to tackle that task.
CJ, if you like Mexican food, you would love it down here. It's all authentic, well not Taco Bell and the like. You would be amazed at how different so called authentic is to the real McCoy. Way way different. I don't like either. I never knew that taco's don't have lettuce but cabbage, and not ground beef but shredded beef and they are bland. Just an example.
Time to go and water plants while it's still nice outside.

Mamma...a bittersweet day for you...(((hugs))). Yes, that kind of taco is much preferred than the americanized kind. Even better is pork carnitas..love those with the cabbage type slaw on them. DH loves mexican (not Taco Bell). Snake plants can survive on very little light.
Dusting could be done here too. We'll see.

Good morning friends! It's 75* and warming up. So far the humidity isn't too bad. The past couple of days I was with my DS at the 127 garage sales. We had her tents up and we sat under a tree where there was a pleasant breeze. Not at all too hot. My DD is with my DS this a.m. and today will be the last day DS is there for this year. It was nice being able to spend 2 days together. We haven't done that in years and we had a lot, a lot of chatting and reminiscing to do. I was so tired both days when I got home but it was a good tired and I was able to sleep very well. There's a load of laundry going, two more to go, I've fed the finch and did some light cleaning in the bathroom. I still want to iron too. DS had a bologna sandwich for lunch yesterday and it's made me want one so I'm thinking I might head to the store. LOL
CJ The BLT sounds so good. The problem for me is I don't like buying a head of lettuce because I'd end up throwing some of it out. But I still will have a BT sandwich. LOL Isn't it the greatest to spend time with friends with a good meal and lots to talk about.
ICOOK Dusting....bah-humbug! LOL I'm already wondering what I'm going to eat for lunch and supper. Decisions, decisions!! I'm just thankful that I have food, plenty of it.
MAMMA Today is my DS's anniversary. Her DH passed just over a year ago. Yesterday we talked about that and of course, the tears watered our eyes. I do hope/pray your day will be fulfilling with memories and many good things to help you through this special yet trying day. Hugs to you!!!

Hi, everyone, good morning. I'm up, I'm dressed, the wundies are on the inside and I have a stack of mail to go in the mailbox. #2's GF is back at his house, she had to go back to NYC for a bit and is back now, starting school this month I believe. She is a speech language pathologist. He called the other night when we were in the woods, she texted me too and told me how excited she is about the baby-she's quite the skilled crafter with yarn and is planning an afghan as I type. #1/DIL are camping tonight, they really enjoy that. We are to go the BIL's for a cookout today, I'd rather pass, but do think it'd just be smoother if I go. I should be able to decline. Looks like next week is getting busy with three history center things, best part is an invite to go see #1/DIL at her parents' place. Better post this before I forget, blessed be.

Good Morning Ladies - - - I've been up awhile, had my toast and coffee and I got a grocery order in. Only 8 items I think or maybe 9, but wanted to get it going, so my 3 hr. pickup time wouldn't be too late. A couple of items I was out of, and some on special - the cherries have so good this year and they were on sale, so wanted more of them. It's 75, I maybe could open up, I will have to stick my head out, once I have my shower and get dressed, and check it out. I'm ready to let the sunshine in again. CJ, sounds like a nice evening for you and Mark and nice to join friends. I like Mexican, and we have a good one here in town. They also run the steak house, and do a nice job there as well. IC, nice to have leftovers - that's my way of cooking - heat & eat! Mamma, hope you are able to reminisce about some of the wonderful times you shared in the 44 years you had together - How nice that you had the renewal of vows service a few years ago. Last year, when it would have been our 50th, was bittersweet, but I was thankful for the 29 years we were married. Tender hugs for you today. Ellie, I've been thinking of you this past couple of days while you were at the big sale. I'm sure it was enjoyable for you and DS to sit and chat the day away. Glad it was comfortable out there for you. Well, I had better get in the shower.

Today I was determined to go into town where I have not driven to myself. Lowes is easy to get to I just get nervous when doing something alone for the first time. But I am proud of myself I did it. Of course God did all the work. My heart was set on a corn plant, something Mark didn't like, and a palm plant. Lowes had the plants and the exact size I was looking for. And they even had beautiful pots for my new plants too. So plants, pots, and soil in the cart I and a wonderful clerk at the self check, got me done and on my way. I put the big corn plant in its new pot and buckled it into the front seat. Nice quiet passenger I might add. The palm was on the floor in its new pot. We made it home without a topple or wiggle. Clarence the corn plant and Patrick the palm are all set up in their new spot in my living room. They don't need a lot of light so I should have pretty good luck with them. My snake plant is back in the bedroom purifying the air in there. So far the day has gone better than I had expected. No tears yet.
Now to get the dusting done.

A mostly cloudy day with the temp in the 80s not too humid.
We have two mamma deer each with one baby that hang around out yard. Yesterday while I was weeding one of the babies came with 20 ft and just stood and watched me work! I wanted to invite it to come for a nice snack on the weeds but if finally left. I had to finish the weeding with no help. Such is life on The Little Farm.
My cleaning girl was here this morning to help with the work I have trouble doing. Sure is a help with the work! Mi back gives out quickly. Ouchy! Then it's SSD time . She does a good job if I could just keep her focused on her work the job could be done in half the time. She is easily distracted.
Laurie if I read things you are to be twice blessed! Will they be arriving near the same date? Congratulations as your family continues to grow and you join the grannies with your rocking chair.
elle hope it was a successful time a selling things as you shared some memories with DS
Mamma the first year of remembering all those special is the hardest one. We never forget but it does get getter and so will you the grief counseling will help. Remember God still has a purpose for you to be left here. Ask Google for some a list of plants that require low light.
Greenback I also like Mexican food! Never had taco's with cabbage. I might have to try that. I think Mexican food has become as Americanized a Chinese not much authentic about either but they are both good.
Time for me to move to another chair.

Oops, just one baby-#2's GF is excited for #1's to arrive. Went to the lunch and I'm giving myself the afternoon off. Todd is watching some Star Trek thing where they are singing??? Strange, and not something I plan to watch, so I will find something else to occupy myself with.
