The dew point is finally close to Yuma normal and that makes for a much better trip to the pet area. And I hope it stays low for a loooooong time.
A load of laundry in the washer, Annie is standing by, and Mandy is down for one of her many naps. When the wash is done, I'll go and water Jills plants, and then I'll set Annie free to clean my floors. Today I will have to do scrubbing of the floors. I've been so lazy lately, just not wanting to do anything that requires getting off my butt.
I'll have a meeting with Pastor again next week. But a dear friend sent me a message a day or two ago and it was more help then my one hour chat with Pastor. After reading the message I felt so much better about my feelings and tears.
We are going to be in an excessive heat warning again for the next so many days. Hopefully August will be the last of them. This summer has been the worst since we have been here. Or maybe its all the extra insulation I have now. hehe
Blessings to all.

Good sunny morning, it was in the low 60's but going to the mid 80's. Yesterday was coffee day and today is the beginning of the Worlds longest yard sale on Rte. 127. I'll be leaving shortly to help my sister. My DSIL and my DH used to set up but my DSIL isn't this year because he was off work when he had the heart problem. My DS's husband has passed so this has be a big change for us. But, I enjoy seeing all the people and helping my DS. I'll go back to help her tomorrow but will leave earlier than today.
MAMMA Is Annie the new friend who you felt was like you concerning other people? I hope she will soon feel better. What an encourager and help you are for her. I think the USA has been a hotter than other years this summer. Speaking of extra insulation, we talked about that at coffee yesterday...yes! we laughed about it too.

Good morning. The chili turned out good, had enough to freeze a little. Today I used the rest of the hamburger and made goulash. And made done deviled eggs, If I could find cornmeal in the cupboard I would make some cornbread. Just hope all of you are doing good. BBL

Good Morning If I hurry - - - I have been busy doing lots of little things - - Have the bedding in the dryer and had to take out and put away the load that had a sleepover in the dryer last night. I had dishes that I had drying and got them put away - closed things up again so I could turn the AC on. I wouldn't have, except my cleaning couple are due this afternoon and I didn't want it too uncomfortable for them. Always some pick up before they come, as I am bad about leaving things accumulate on the counter. Got a card ready for the neighbors as they have their 50th tomorrow. I debated what to do, but deceided to just write in the card that I would take them out to eat when it worked for both of us. I know tomorrow they are taking the kids and grands on a boat out of LaCrosse and then out to eat up there. Mamma, happy for you with that uplifting message - knowing others care is wonderful - - actually, deep down you know almost everyone does, but so good that they share those feelings with you. Did you hear anything after you reported the condition of the dog park? Enjoy your watermelon when you get those chores all done. Ellie, a busy weekend for you, but sounds like you enjoy the action too. Hope it's not to warm for you. Nice to visit while you are together. Carolyn, you are keeping busy down there - - deviled eggs are always a treat. Maybe your daughter is like me and there would be no cornmeal in the cupboard.

All done with my chores. Annie and I got the floors cleaned and scrubbed, added water to the golf cart batteries, watered Jills plants, and folded the laundry except for what is on the lines. She had some food in the dog dish so I dumped that so as not to attract unwanted guests.
Now to cool off and shortly I'll make a trip to WM for some more watermelon. Praying they still have the good melons.
Jane, yes I know I'm in many prayers and thoughts. You are right it feels good to hear the words. Very thoughtful of you to turn on the a/c for your cleaning people. I worked up a royal sweat with the a/c on. My hair is soaked. I'll need a shower before I leave the house. LOL Yep, I had dishes in the sink to put away too.
Carolyn, thanks, I think I'll make some deviled eggs too. They go good with most anything in my opinion.

Good Afternoon....
The sun is shining and there is a nice breeze. The temp is supposed to hit the upper 80's. That will really heat things up. As long as the humidity stays at a decent point, it should be okay.
Trying to figure out what supper will be. I hate that kind of thinking...LOL
Took my mom to her dr appt today. He thinks she is feeling whoozie is from drinking more water than she is used to. She hardly ever drank water, but was now told she needs to, to stay hydrated. We had breakfast out since she fasts for blood work and then we made a quick stop at Meijer for a few things on her list and then I took her home.
Now I need a little swing time while I "think" about supper....LOL Maybe take a glass of ice tea out with me.
Have a great day everyone......

Another job done, the corn didn't arrive until late afternoon. Too late to start the work then so it got pushed on to this morning. We had 3 people working so the work went fast. Twelve dozen beautiful perfect ears of corn were blanched, iced, cut and bagged ready for the months ahead. We didn't do a count but they always include extras so there was prob 2 doz more than ordered.
Elle, route 127 was the road behind my house until it was relocated to the front of our house. A a street and a big farm field between us nd 127. DH's sister and I usually went to the next little town for the yard sale! Lots of stuff to see and fun to go.
This is a tired granny so it's just love and hugs for everyone

Christina was here today so the floors got a good cleaning. We went to the farm market so I could get another eggplant. Going to enjoy eating as I don't know how things will be after I get my gum surgery next Thursday. The cemetery where my parents are buried is five minutes from the farm market so we made a quick stop there. With all the rain I wanted to make sure the flowers on there graves was OK. Can't plant real flowers as the deer eat them all. I have a vase that's pushed in the ground with artificial flowers
Jane My coffee table is my disaster area. I lay on the couch a lot & everything I need I put on the coffee table.
Mamma Humidity returns here tonight. I'll close up & put the AC back on.

Good afternoon to all. The grandsons have come and gone; we took all three of them home yesterday. Mike got rained out yesterday morning so instead of me taking them home yesterday and coming back here today, we made the trip to MO to deliver them to their respective homes, went by the John Deere dealership where DSIL#2 works and ended up buying a used side-by-side he had told us about, ran by the credit union to get money to put in the bank to cover the purchase, ran home to check on things there and get the mail, and headed back up here. We stopped at a Mexican place in Holts Summit, MO (my hometown and where my mom lived the last several years) and were here by 8:15 last night. A busy day for sure. It is very quiet without three boys here.
While driving my car home yesterday, Mike heard the brakes start making a fairly loud noise and asked some workers on the pipeline who are local who they would recommend to take a look at my car. One guy made a call and, voila, I got my car in and had the back rotors, brake pads and calipers replaced at a reasonable cost. Couldn't beat the timing and the service. I found the place (a mom and pop auto shop) with no problem and had to wait less than two hours.
I came home and have cleaned both bathrooms, washed the sheets and quilt we had on the air mattress for the boys, made a pasta salad (from a box) and some chocolate pudding for supper (I sent the rest of the two oreo pies home with the boys), shucked some corn, and ran the vacuum cleaner. I won't make it to the pool today, but I did get my four miles in this morning with just a few sprinkles. We will have hamburgers to go with our corn on the cob, pasta salad and chocolate pudding.
We had horrible storms back home after we had gotten back here last night. Emmett and his dad were on their way to the county fair when a horrible storm hit. They decided to turn around and got caught in quite a dangerous situation and DSIL knew a path to drive under a small river bridge on the blacktop road to their house, in fact led some other cars to the same place and they rode the storm there. It was Amelia's birthday and, after celebrating with her mom by getting a pedicure, going for ice cream, going shopping for school supplies and having lunch, she wanted to stay home and watch a movie rather than go to the fair, which, in hindsight, was a good thing. DD was frantic, their flagpole outside their house snapped in two, they had to go to the basement, the power went out and she couldn't reach her son and husband as they had no signal parked under the concrete bridge! All ended well, but it was a very stressful few hours. DD#1 and family's home also had severe weather, but, after I delivered her boys back home, their dad picked up Trinity, took her to Bible School, and then they had all traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks where DD has a conference that started yesterday and ends Friday. Everyone is busy at this time of year! DD#2 reported 4 inches of rain in less than an hour and some places got between 6 and 7 inches!
CJ, how is Teddy's ear infection?
If I'm going to ride my bike, I had better get at it. I have to share a picture of Josie taken Sunday morning as they were getting ready for church. After she got everything but her shoes on, she said "Mommy, Jesus is going to think I am so cute!" Maw Maw agrees!

Yes, Grandma Debbie, Jesus is going to think she is so cute, because she sure is. Glad everyone is safe and sound, and as badly as you needed the rain, I'm sure it did very little good, coming that fast and hard. Hope Emmet does well with the bacon and hams. IC, I made a swing through the cemetery yesterday also, just checking on things - Glad you found things okay. I can't do the plants any more as it's to hard and unsafe for me to be walking down there. I am thankful that we are close to the road and I can go and not get out. It certainly wasn't planned for that, but works out well for me now. Grammy, good that the corn is all taken care of now and will be so enjoyed this winter. Not a good job to start late in the day, although when I was working, that's when most of it did get done. Not energy left by the end of the day now. CJ, Interesting find for your DM. That seems strange to me, but what do I know?? Just hope her body adjust soon. Nice that you could go out for breakfast together. I was really hungry when the cleaning couple left, so took a couple of the boiled eggs and a can of chicken breast, and made some chicken salad and had a sandwich and some chips and ice cream. Filled the hole!
