Good Morning....
Had rain overnight. About 7/10ths of an inch. We've had a lot of rain in July. I had my coffee on the swing while it was sunny, then it got dark and briefly rained again. Now it's sunny again...but very humid. I'm hoping we will be able to open the windows soon. Tired of stuffy air inside.
I have laundry going and will vacuum and dust soon.
DMIL was discharged and is now in a rehab facility. Not sure how long she will be there. DH took a picture of her at the new place and she looks like a totally different person. Looked very perky, eating a hamburger for her dinner and smiling. Now if we can keep her from falling cause she thinks she can do anything she wants there and was trying to get up to use the bathroom while DH was there last evening. He told her she can't do that yet and that she needs to push the call button. He said it took them about 15 minutes to get there, and in the mean time she couldn't wait...so DH had to help her as best he could get in the bathroom. It's not like the hospital where they are there within a minute.
GrammyDebbie...sure don't know how Mike can work in that heat and humidity. It's got to be taking it's toll on him.
I can't remember what all was posted yesterday, so I'll just wish everyone a great day.............

Good morning.
Hot and sunny, windy later today. It's looking like we could possibly maybe get some rain this week. I hope it doesn't storm too. Phoenix has been hit pretty hard this monsoon season but we have been lucky with only one microburst.
I'm so loving the way the craft room looks but last night I had a hard time with it. It felt like I was again pushing Mark aside. That left me with a fitful night. This week is going to be hard enough without dwelling on the changes I've made. Moving forward is a real kick in the pants, not fun.
The sheets are in the washer and my second cup of coffee is done. I wish I could have fully leaded, because have no energy at all. No sleep will do that. I'll be needing a nap today for sure. Maybe after that I can work on a couple cards. Yesterday I got some new supplies that I am looking forward to working with.
CJ, it was so nice to hear that your DMIL was smiling while eating her burger. I do hope that the staff will be more attentive.
Downy time and I'll put clean sheets on the bed. Then let Robocop clean the bedroom floor. Annie will take care of the rest of the rooms. After cleaning this room from top to bottom yesterday, I'll let the robots to the work today.

We had a storm and rain here in Sarasota early on yesterday. Cooled things down a bit. We went to eat supper and to Walmart. I got Some yarn to make some doll blankets for my friends DGD. Hope all of you are well. I have had breakfast and did dishes. There's not much going on here. Just quiet. But I am taking life easy  like I always do. Joy said we are going to the beach Monday. !!! It should be interesting. But they have a tent, hats and you name it. As cold as I start may need a blanket.. ⚓️⚓️ |

CAROLYN I hope you have a sunny, just right at the beach Monday. All the people in and out of the water, kids, adults. It should be a fun day to sit back and watch the people.
MAMMA I didn't sleep well last night either. I was awake a long time, then woke up and heard the tornado siren going off. Just then my phone rang and it was DD asking if I knew there was a tornado warning. Nope! I didn't know. Anyway, I heard downpours of rain and I don't see any damage. Is this a special day that it's "bittersweet?" Hugs and comfort to your hurting heart.
CJ Good news about your DMIL. I think there's a real shortage of helpers in the medical field and the resident/patient doesn't always get taken care of. Our world sure changed the past 3 years. Enjoy your day and take advantage of the sunshine if you can.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's only 75 now, and guess we are over the hump of the extreme heat. I haven't been outside for a couple of days but last evening I took some things to the garbage can and it sure was hot in the garage. I spent all afternoon at my desk here with the phone and messenger lining up food & helpers for the funeral luncheon on Tue. I couldn't believe when I looked at the clock and it was 4:00 already. This lady was the wife of our music director and was head of the ladies group, active in bells & choir, so her presence at our church will surly be felt. She lost her battle of fighting cancer for the third time.
I slept better than usual last night and have had coffee and breakfast - now just need to get into the shower.
CJ, good to hear that DMIL seems okay with the move - hopefully she will realize she needs the help and will press her button sooner than when she needs it.
Mamma, It's okay to change things to your needs and liking - - You will always carry Mark in your heart and that will never change.
Carolyn, keep enjoy your family & vacation and have fun at the beach.
Ellie, how scary to wake up to the siren - thoughtful of DD to call and make sure you are aware. The storms in the darkness are the scariest.
Hope everyone will have an enjoyable weekend.

Goodmorning/afternoon, it's morning now but not much left of it and afternoon will be here before I post this. It's a partly cloudy day with the temp going to the upper 80's
this afternoon and humidity is still with us making it very warm. Not bad for me since I'm on the bottom with a dehumidifier that keeps the humidity low!
The cleaning girl was here so things are nice and clean for the week. She does a nice job just very slow and easily distracted. I do need to say "keep working" often. She will learn to work faster and I should learn to be more patient!
Carolyn i love to sit by the water find a shady spot and there's usually a cool breeze. enjoy the time with family.
CJ so glad to hear that MIL is improving! Those UTI infections can really do a number on the older ones.
Mamma your craft room sounds like it is turning into a nice place to work. Keep cool in the heat. Out AC I finally working again. I'm sure the folks upstairs appreciate that. I do have capri's on today but I'm also wearing a flannel shirt!
Elle no tornado warnings here but there was more wind and rain last night!!
Nothing much for me to do this afternoon so it will be kindle time. My library card wouldn't work on the computer to download a new book! DD was going into town so she took the card and went to the library where I was issued a new card to be renewed every 2 yrs. I'm so glad I can still get the books on my kindle and no need for me to go to the library.
Time for some lunch

Good morning! I'm sitting at the History Center and had a couple of nice visits with people so far. I stayed at the farm last night-I got to see how hay bales are wrapped when they have them in the long tubes on the ground. I've never seen it, really interesting. After that I got supper together and we watched a movie. This morning Al made pancakes and I got his pills organized and did the dishes before coming to town. After I leave here I need to make a couple of pitstops before going to the NH. Sounds like it was a quiet night for him. I'm glad it was peaceful for him, I slept for beans-not a good snooze.
#1 got to the lake last night, I'll see him and the Yeti when I get back. I should find my water, blessed be everyone.

Just lost my post DANG I've been keeping busy today. Dusting is started Don't know if it will all get done today. Tinker likes to sit outside all the time. I sit out with her in the morning when it's cooler & at night when the sun goes down. Sit with her two hours every day. Making some chicken cacciatore soon Eating my cooked meal early today Delores gave me some good bread Think I'll make a tuna melt for tonight.
CJ Good news on your DMIL being released from the hospital.

Well, I think I"m done with the Christmas cards. Time to start on a few Thanksgiving cards. The bed is remade with clean sheets, Robocop cleaned the bedroom floor, and Mandy have been out and back in. Annie will clean the floors tomorrow. I made spaghetti for lunch and got a lot of dishes washed. They are drying in the dry rack in the sink. All I want to do now is sit and watch some tv and have a snack with my half gallon of water.
