Good morning from the sunny shore of Bass Lake. So far, little haze. It rained on my way home last night, just a bit at first, but enough to keep my laundry damp, so it'll be out til this afternoon and will just be fresher. The Yeti has a lawyer appointment this morning (he's on a quest for a file, but then told me that the lawyer does have a copy) and the floor guys are here right now-family room it is. I've got a PT appointment around noon and I'll see how things go from there. I tried to post from the NH yesterday but boy did I have typos. I saw Al first and made a WM run for him, so everything is on the even keel for just now.
Looking at my to-do list, I see that the first stuff I do is finish #1's patching stuff, he had a zipper on a camera stand bag go wonky, not sure if I can fix it, I don't like those repairs. The last batch of pickles all sealed but I won't start more til they are done with the floor, I don't want the humidity to raise and make the sealant on the floors be weird.
Carolyn, I'm glad you went on your trip, I think a change of scene will be fun. When I was at a thrift store a couple of weeks ago I picked up a lid to an old glass dish. Think of those square "pre-Tupperware" things, the big size was that of a pound of butter and the smaller ones half that size. Turns out after I got it home, it was the right size for the bottom I had that was missing the lid. Made me happy, for a whopping 50 cents. I've started to pull out some of those dishes to use, no point in just filling up a hutch.
I hear my coffee calling, BBL, Blessed be.

I didn't make it here yesterday Yesterday was a busy crazy day. Christina couldn't come. Having problem with her legs swelling again. She saw her Dr. Haven't heard from her yet. I was in the urologists office for over two hours. He was behind schedule. When I left his waiting room was full with patients. When I got home there was a message from a collection agency on my voice mail. A Dr. I had for my heart surgery is claiming I owe him $3,000 I called Highmark & they say no it was part of my surgery. Highmark is saying he is trying to double dip to get money. My attorney is involved now. Another bill that I don't need.
Carolyn Hope your toe starts feeling better soon. A dr. I had told me you can injure yourself in a second but it takes a while to heal. He was so right.

Good morning Windy and hot today. Mandy and I weren't out very long this morning. I think she is not doing well in the heat anymore either, she wastes little time.
Today is groomer day! This time it will be a shorter cut. I forgot and got her the winter cut last time. Opps. Her coat is thinner than Lola's so it really doesn't matter, but when her coat gets longer she sheds and I don't like that.
This morning I got the bill from my injection. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Now I'll know what to expect with the next one. I have a lot less pain and that's whats important.
IC, $3000 is a lot of money. Even when Mark had the quad bypass I didn't have to pay half that much. His initial bill before insurance was over half a million dollars. I'm glad my insurance covers well.
Time to turn the ac on in here. My neck fan is on the charger so can't use that. I use the neck fan a lot too.

Good morning to all. It was very cloudy and rained here at the apartment in IL this morning, but the clouds are clearing and the sun is coming out which will make for some nasty humidity and heat for DH working outside today. We are to be in the 100s for the next 3-4 days at home and near 100 here each day. This morning, the TV showed footage from one year ago when there were heavy rains and flash flooding. Weather tends to be a cycle and, while this one seems long and is admittedly miserable, I am sure next year will be different. I have been reading a book about the Dust Bowl in the plains in the 30s and oh my goodness that was awful!
Feeling much better today. Had my morning walk, finishing it just before it started raining. After some breakfast, I worked on getting Mike's info uploaded to the site that the company he retired from will use to pay for our Medicare and made a couple of calls about that. I then vacuumed the whole apartment and then wet-mopped the laminate floors which are everywhere except the two bedrooms. Then, I changed a haircut appointment from next week to today at 1:00. I plan on bringing all three grandsons back with us on Sunday, so I didn't want to have to go get my haircut while they are here. If the weather isn't ungodly hot, Eli is going to work with Mike one of the days they are here. Mike's employer as well as the contractor has approved it, as long as he has a vest, safety glasses and a hard hat and Mike has all that for him. They are pleased to show the ropes to young people considering the profession. They all have obligations later in the week, so I'll be taking them home on Wednesday.
I hope CJ's MIL is feeling better today.
Laurie, I remember when we were having our wood floors done while building and, later, when we had them laid in our bedroom and the living room, the smell was so pungent that it even invaded the food in our refrigerator. We had some leftover pasta we intended to eat for supper one night and had to pitch it because it tasted/smelled like the polyurethane coating for the floor!
IC Cook, I would think there would be some sort of advocate service that could help you sort out the hospital bill without paying for a lawyer to do so. Could your senior representative who comes to visit help you with that?
Carolyn, I am so very glad you traveled to Florida, but sorry that your toe is still bothering you! Enjoy your trip!
Mama, glad to hear that the injections are helping!
Wishing all a wonderful Wednesday!

Bible Study this morning and home for some lunch. Our study group has sure dwindled we had 14 at one time now we are down to 4. Some have died while age and all the problems that come with the years has sure taken a toll on several from the group. I do miss the lunch bunch.
Blue skies but hot and humid today! It's 90 now and that was to be the high temp for today. Very humid also with maybe a shower this evening. We don't need any more rain now!
Laurie I don't like mending of any kind! The floor will be great when all is done. I had some of those refrigerator dishes and loved them especially the long one. I used to enjoy thrift stores and yard sales never know what you might find that you just have to have.
Carolyn so glad you could make the trip to FL. Enjoy the time with DD
IC that's a big bill for you to get! Hope you find some help.
Mamma hope you and Mandy find a cool spot today. Glad the shots are helping with the pain in your shoulder.
Debbie the boys will keep you busy! How nice that the people in charge will allow the ds on the job. A great experience for him. DH was a construction foreman and had to work outside in the hot summers and cold winters but he loved his work.
I have a dentist appointment this afternoon other than that I plan be inside

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - That wasn't a very good color to read. We had some rain go through this morning and then it was time to get in the shower and get ready to go to help out and the Feed The Kids program. The schools provide lunches for the kids in June & Aug. and the area churches got together and took over July. I offered to help if they had any sit down jobs. I didn't work very hard, but it's always nice to volunteer as you get to see and connect with people you don't see in the every day walk through life. I just heard the mail man go by, so I will be going out to get that and then I can sit and read the paper. That didn't take long last week, but this week may have more about the 4-H winners for the fair last week. Laurie, hope the bag is an easier fix than you plan, but frankly, I am doubting that. Hope PT goes well for you. Carolyn, glad that you are having a good time with the family. How nice she wants you and her boss to meet. The knee is just so so. I never know when it wants to give out on me, and so far, I have been able to catch myself. IC, here we have volunteers called Ship that are at the hospital on certain times and they will help you with insurance questions or issues. Can't remember what all the letters stand for but I know the S is seniors. Debbie's suggestion was a good one too. Mamma, I bet Mandy will be happy to have that hair cut. I think I would be quick to go and get back in too! Debbie, how fun that the big boys still want to come. I think it's great that Eli can job shadow with Mike. The other 2 will probably be ready to hang out in the pool. Grammy, you are having aa busy day - - - You bible study group sound like the board here. We seem to be shrinking in numbers all the time as well. Hope everyone is having a nice afternoon and keeping cool.

Good Afternoon.....
It's hot and humid here, too. Storms are brewing and it's getting darker.
Yesterday was a totally crazy day. Went in the morning to see DMIL, before DH went. I had planned to only stay a little while and had some shopping to do on the way home. DH came a little while later so I was getting ready to leave when my phone rings and it's my mom. She says she evidently passed out at the golf course and her lady friends called 911 (she wasn't out more than 15-20 seconds). She was calling me while waiting for EMS to get there in her cheery usual self. But kept saying I don't need to go to the hospital. Anyway, I told her I was already at the hospital and I'd meet her down in the ER. Took forever for them to take me back to see her. She had heat exhaustion and was dehydrated (which the last thing I had said to her the evening before was to be sure to drink water while playing golf). Anyway they said because of her age, they would need to run a bunch of tests to rule things out and she would need to spend the night for observation. I sat in the ER cubicle from around noon till 9:30 pm. They finally got a room ready for her in the observation hall. I wasn't allowed to go back with her to that room since it was past visiting hours. This morning she calls at 7 to say she's ready to go home just has to wait for the doctor to sign her off. I got there around 10 and we sat there till amost 1 to be discharged. It takes so long to get anything done there. I finally got her home and she's probably napping in her chair now. She kept saying this is ridiculous and I can go home. Hope she learned her lesson about staying hydrated.
DH is back at the hospital with his mom. Said she's doing better than yesterday but still not great. They changed antibiotics that were making her nauseous. She couldn't eat anything yesterday. Today she feels somewhat better and can kind of eat her lunch. We'll see how she is by the end of the day. The doctor has late hours and doesn't make his rounds till late evening when DH or his brother aren't there. So far they aren't getting many answers.
Carolyn...glad to see you made your trip.
Icook...hope that bill gets taken care of quickly.
Mamma...Mandy will look so cute with her new "doo".
Lauriet...hope the new floors get taken care of the right way.
Grammy...hope there's no problems at the dentist.
GrammyDebbie.....what fun for Eli to be on the job with grandpa. And it will be fun having the boys for a few days to have some fun time with. Glad you are feeling better.
Have a great day everyone......

It's been a hot day here! We had some thunder storms late this afternoon but it didn't amount to much. We also got rain so I won't need to water my plants. It was coffee day. I sure appreciate my friends. I also got my cleaning done today. I have company coming tomorrow. DSIL will be mowing tomorrow too. He turned 63 years old today!! My family is getting old!! They'll soon be older than me, right, GRAMMY? LOL Friday I will meet my long time high school friend for breakfast. So this week has been busy. We'll see what next week brings. I made sugar cookies Tuesday. I haven't made the sugar cookies for a long time. I think they'll be ok but I think they might be a bit dry. I'll serve them with coffee, maybe they'll be dunkin' cookies. LOL
Ta-ta for now!!
