Good morning, there is coffee if you want some. Dinner went fine last night, everyone left 8ish, they all took a boat ride, I chose to stay in. #1 will be back tonight and be here til Monday. I need to fix his camera bag strap for him and do a lot few other things too. I slept in his room last night, I really slept well for a change. My brother went in to see Dad yesterday, not sure which day I'll go up again~Monday I have to pick up cukes and the pupper has to go to the vet but the Yeti will take her. Then, Tuesday is Mahjong-I haven't been there in weeks, and Thursday is a mystery trip for book club, Friday/Saturday is to the farm and then work at the center and Saturday night is Turnerfest. Two of Todd's cousins are very accomplished musicians and they have a small music fest at aunt's house and all can join in. There are different musicians who take turns playing and singing. Should be fun for the music and the visiting. Not sure if #1/DIL will be staying here then or not. There is coffee on the counter, help yourselves, blessed be.

Good morning. Thank God for the clouds this morning. It sounds like a mostly cloudy day as well. The less sun the lower the temps. Not that it will be cool, by any means, but cooler without the sun. No breeze this morning either.
Mandy really wasn't too interested in being out today. Two dogs to run the fence line with but they only made one pass and she was done. She was more than ready to go home after doing #1. Fine by me, it was uncomfortable out there without some air movement. She is now lying on the floor under the ceiling fan.
More card making today if/when I get in the mood. It takes me a bit to get the creative juices flowing. I start looking at cards and then I will come up with my own and off I go. Oh, and I've decided to sell my cards for $4.50 or 2 for $8. I've had a lot of help to make that decision.
Enjoy your weekend.

Good Morning Ladies - - - another beautiful morning and I think to myself, self-enjoy this nice morning, as it's not going to be so nice next week with the heat & humidity. Nothing planned for the day, except to write the check and get it in the mail for the roofing guy, and do up some hand wash dishes that are making the kitchen look messy. I finally got my tuna-mac salad made yesterday, and it was very refreshing last night for supper - it was then that I realized the impact that Debbie's cold supper must have made for Mike, when he has been outside in the heat all day. Laurie, I'm really not sure how you keep your days straight, but you sure do a nice job of it. Enjoy your visit from #1 and look forward to your music fest. Mamma, glad Mandy got the job done, even though interest was minimal. Hope you find that energy and get to the card making - You do a nice job with those that you do. Happy Heavenly Birthday to our dear friend Nancy. I think of her often and am happy that our paths crossed on this journey of life.

Good morning, it's really a beautiful morning. The sun is out, not a lot of wind and the temp is in the low 70's. I watered the plants and filled the finch feeders. I hadn't done that in a while as I was only having a couple of finch. It seems others have discovered it so now there's several on them. And I've see Mr.&Mrs. Hummingbird. The last load of laundry is in the dryer. DD is coming later this afternoon and we might be going out for supper. Yesterday a friend who does geneology came and we did some cemetery searching, then to the VA office and Health department to get some info that was needed. We went out for supper then said our goodbyes. A busy and good day.
LAURIE Thanks for the coffee. You're a busy lady!
MAMMA You're really into the card making! Good for you. I think the price for your cards is good. People don't appreciate the time the crafter puts in to their work and the cost of the material. I fight the "sewing" urge. Not seriously, but to the point that I will not sew like I did before when I would spend 8-10 hours a day sewing. Now give me the easy, faster projects. I started making my valances over a week ago and still need to finish them. And It will take less than an hour for that. So, I'm not pushing. But I'm already thinking about making a valance for the bathroom window. Stay cool today!
GREENBACK I don't think I've ever had tuna macaroni salad. I like both but tuna isn't a favorite. Enjoy your day and the relaxation you can have. I don't have a lot planned either as I did my cleaning early yesterday.

Good morning grannies, it's a beautiful day. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and no rain for a few days!
Laurie the music fest sounds like fun time for everyone.
Mamma the pricing of your cards sounds good. Many people want to send a special card to someone and yours are very special!
The cleaning girl has been here and gone everything looks good for now. Nothing special on my list for today that means I'll spend more time reading. now it's almost time for some lunch. If anything exciting happens I'll hurry back to tell you about it.

Elle, yes, I'm keeping the card making as a hobby. But if anyone wants to purchase one, that is my price. My cousin asked me last night if I was selling my cards on Etsy or FB. My response was that, I'm retired, I'm not working anymore. Work makes a hobby a lot less fun. Nope, I don't want to be tied to a schedule anymore. Now my time is my own.....or Mandy's. LOL Enjoy your time with your DD.
Jane, I don't write out many checks anymore. Maybe two a year. MMMM, I think it's time I make a mac salad too. No meat though. hehehehe
Grammy, how nice to sit and enjoy your clean home. Don't trip and fall coming back here with an exciting update. My excitement today is my WM order.
The cantaloupe I just cut up is soooo tasty. Once it's cooled down some, in the fridge, it won't last long. Good thing I got two yesterday. Now I have to take out the garbage before it stinks.

It's a lot cooler out today. I'm giving the AC a rest for today. Nice breeze coming in. I've been busy but lots more to do. Started the dusting. Peeled & sliced the eggplant to fry. I'm sure I won't get everything done today.
Elle It's nice going out to eat. I miss doing that now that Earl is gone. ENJOY
Mamma I have some watermelon to cut.

Hi, found some stuff to do but I'm taking a break. I think I ate something that didn't agree with me, my stomach is a bit woozy. I was thinking about Nancy today too, a memory of her popped up on FB. Sweet memories of a sweet friend.
Got some stuff taken care of so I do believe I deserve a sit-down. I would like to go to #1's event, but the Yeti doesn't appear to be interested. I checked on Dad and they said he seems to have had an ok night but is drowsy today. I will wait to go see him if he's sleepy.

I finally found a way to rearrange the front room aka living room. The power lift chair is so hard on the floor that I had to figure out a way to lift it to put protective tabs on the “feet”. There was a 1 by 3 on the porch so I used my left arm and body to lift the chair enough to slip the board under the chair and got the protective tabs on. Wow was that work. The chair is extremely heavy. Everything in that room needed those so tabs I had my work cut out for me. But all is done and I’m pleased with the way it looks. Mark had put the tv on an arm so I can adjust the tv to view no matter where I sit. So right now the tv is partially on the French door. The kitchen Island is now in the craft room for work space. Not sure it will stay in here but I don’t use it much since it’s just cooking for me now and I don’t cook much at all anymore. Mark was the big eater. In fact today I remembered his last meal was on Christmas Day, and his favorite….duck, dressing and gravy. He wasn’t able to eat as much as he usually could but at least he got his favorite meal before he went to the hospital and heaven.
No more work or cards today. My arms and I need to rest.
