Good morning, there is toast or if you ask the Yeti, he'll make you something. Also, coffee is on the counter. I am heading to the NH again in a bit, tomorrow is his birthday but I am going today, my brother can go tomorrow. Debbie-what a busy day, you made me tired! I was a bum most of the day. I'll check in later, blessed be.

70 degrees and strong storms. It is pouring rain and they have issued flood warnings. Had planned to go to the Sr. Citizens luncheon, but the weather changed my mind. I am trying to be able to go to Joys. I came through the house and hit my toe again (( Same toe, same corner. Guess I didn't know I was that close. But I hope all is well with you all. If I don't make it to Florida I will have to get some groceries. I have tried to use up all of what I have. Eggs, etc. I. I am so thankful for the rain. Need to start the pork loin today for Sat. Hope it doesn't rain Saturday. We are having the reunion indoors. Take care.

Good Morning Ladies - - - We didn't get the rain that they said we "could" get overnight, so now I think it's going to be another dry spell. It's a nice morning, but it sounds like next week is going to be a hot one and humid also. My neighbor and I sat on the porch last night, while he had some guy company in their garage. It was a great night to sit out except the nat's bothersome. Today I am off to my all day lunch date with the gals. Fair is on here, but that doesn't matter to me - I don't go anyway, too hard to walk up there. Laurie, hope your DF has a nice day for his BD and nice he can celebrate 2 days and maybe even more. Good to spread the company out, as I'm sure a big group would wear him out. Carolyn can you set something at that corner or mark it in some way so you don't keep hitting it? It was always the end of the bed or one of the bar stools that I hit it seems. Guess I will keep moving so I can hit the shower and be ready to leave before that long. Enjoy your day, ladies.

Good Morning....
It's nice right now but could get some rain/storms this afternoon. We'll see what happens.
Yesterday, DH & I went on a day trip. Left at 8:15 and got home around 5:30. Went to a botanical garden and other sight seeing south of us. We were even in Ohio for a short time...Sylvannia, OH. DH found a nice little breakfast place to stop at in or around Ann Arbor. It was good. Then on we went. Ended up at a brewery for a sandwich and beer before coming home. The weather was really nice.
This morning before doing anything, I got my old clothes on and headed to the garden to do some hoeing. My garden looked terrible with weeds everywhere. Got that all taken care of, tied up the tomatoes that were hanging over the cages and pulled more weeds. That will only last a few days as there are so many weeds and I can't get them all....they will be back..LOL I have little peppers, cucumbers are blooming and lots of tomatoes. Not sure when they will turn red though. Even a few little beans, which the plants are not doing well this year. Everything is late this year. And I noticed on our drive yesterday that many roadside stands have corn. I'm ready for some fresh corn on the cob.
I need to make a run to Kroger for a few things. Penny & Teddy will be here tomorrow so need to make sure I have what they like.
Carolyn...OWEEE. Sorry you hit your toe again.
Lauriet...Happy Birthday to your dad. Hope it's a good visit today.
Greenback...enjoy your lunch time with the gals.
Time to make a list for the grocery otherwise I know I'll forget things I'm thinking about.
Have a great day...........

Good morning. Today is to be the hottest day yet. Yesterday we hit the record high of 115. And it felt like all of those numbers. This afternoon Mandy and I will go out a couple hours earlier to avoid the higher temp of the day. I ordered a neck fan yesterday but it won't be here until Saturday. Oh why, oh why, did I forget to order it this spring. It was in my save for later file.
More cards got made yesterday and more today. The protective sleeves came in the mail and I got all the cards in them too. They look so professional now. The washer is working this morning but I'm not going to do anything until my coffee is finished. Priorities.
Carolyn, I have pool noodles on areas of danger to my appendages. There is a band aide on the corner of the bathroom vanity too as it is a real elbow killer and very pointed and sharp. I don't care who sees it, my safety comes way before their opinion. So sorry you are hurting again. {{{HUGS}}}
Jane, it is so nice to sit outside and I'm happy that you can get out there and enjoy the outdoors before the heat.
Laurie, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR DAD.
"Downy" time, and time to rinse out my cup, make the bed and get out of these clothes and into something much cooler and a lot less of.

Good morning grannies, clouds are moving in before some stormy weather later today. Tornados, rain, wind and hail? All or some are possible this afternoon!
Laurie hope things at the NH are going well. Good to have DB to take over some of the responsibilities and you get some time off!
Carolyn seems that sore toe is always getting another bump!
Greenback a fun day out for you. Have a good time with the school friends. Sitting on the porch sounds like a good restful evening. We have a nice deck but it is hardly used. I sit on my little patio to read and watch the birds.
CJ what a nice day you had on the day trip with DH!
No rehab or anything else on my list for today. I probably need to take a look around and make a long list. Nah, I don't want to do that or I could save the list for my cleaning lady.
No noise from upstairs... Chef is working, dd and dsil have left for Cincinnati. They are going to see the Reds play this afternoon. It's a special deal with tickets and concessions at a big discount. DGd is in the garden with the kids they are pulling weeds and harvesting a few things. Tomatoes are ripening that means tomato pie will soon be on the menu!! Yumm!
I think I will go outside for a little weeding before lunch. No rain till later today.

Good morning, for about 9 minutes, then it'll be good afternoon. I went for breakfast with my friend and just got home. I've known her since 1976 so we've kind of raised our families together. Gotta love the long time friends. We chatted for about 2 hours. And the breakfast was good. They're saying rain for here too so I'm thinking of heading to the grocery store to get a few things. This has been a busy but good week. Tomorrow is cleaning day and I might start that when I get home from shopping later today. That's about it for me, exciting life but thankful for life!
LAURIE Happy birthday to your DF.
CAROLYN I'm so sorry that your toe has been reinjured. That has to hurt worse than the first time. Hugs!
GREENBACK There's just something special about sitting on the porch in the evening with friends! That seems to be a lost art anymore.
CJ You was only about an hour from me when you was in Sylvania yesterday. So nice you could get away, relax and enjoy the day. Did you find all you needed to share with Penny and her little brother?
MAMMA Maybe I should say "hot mamma." The temps are horrible for you. Dry heat or not, 115* is hot. LOL Be comfy and stay cool. The cards you're making sound beautiful. You're really putting yourself into them and that will make them so special.
GRAMMY It sounds like your house is quiet right now. Can I say "Go Reds!!" Have a good day.

Elle, yes the temps are horrible, which is why I don't leave the house except for Mandy. It's kind of like winter in the northern states, both are not favorable.
CJ, what a special day you and hubby had. Treasure it. Your garden sounds like it is doing very well. All those yummies will taste so good when ready.
Grammy, I do hope that the nasty storms miss you completely.
Carolyn you need a sign there that says "Watch your toes" hehehe
Here is a link to my craft page on Facebook. Not sure it will work unless you are a member of facebook, but here goes anyway...... www.facebook.com/groups/2122351928009469

A lady from Gardeners Chat: Cooks crock, asked me to make her 12 to 18 Christmas cards!!!OMG, no one has ever asked me to do that. I'm still trying to figure out what to charge per card for the porch sale in the park. I've not made cards for purchase in a long time, now it's just been for my use. I'm not very self confident so not sure what do to.
Lunch started out as a salad but nah, that wasn't it. So I had some yogurt. And now I'll be hungry in another hour. I still am thinking of what to do with the hamburger in the fridge, use it or toss it. I hate hamburger that has been fried and then frozen, it tastes old. I'm tired of hamburger patties. Gosh I'm fussy. Maybe I'll fry it up as sloppy joes and pretend it's a t-bone steak. LOL

Mamma...I love your cards. That would be great if you could start a little business for yourself doing what you love.
We just had a thunder storm/shower move through. It sure got dark. My solar lights outside came on...LOL Now the sun is shining and it has cooled off.

Back here! Stopped at the farm on the way to the n home and saw Al for about an hour. After that I went to the grocery store and picked up two things of cookies and put them, a photo of Dad fishing and a note that says, "have a cookie with Jerry for his birthday!" in his room and told the nurses and CNAs to stop and have one a day early. I stepped out when he was snoozing and had lunch with my sister and some were gone when I came back, so that's good. The hospice nurse came while I was there, so I got to talk to her and the social worker too. Over all, on a scale of 1 to 5 I'd give it a 3.5. Got home and brought in the canning jars from Al and got them in the dishwasher and that's going. I got myself through the shower and the dogs have all been out and fed, so I plan to sit 'til #1 gets here. When Dad was sleeping I stepped out and got four phone calls taken care of and made it part way through a zoom meeting before my phone overheated-yes, that happens. I do believe that's all that's happened and going to happen here. Oh wait, a week ago my niece tripped on one step on her deck and broke her left foot=boot + crutches. Today my great niece (different family) rolled her left ankle=boot + crutches, possible broken tibia. I do believe I'll go find some bubble wrap for myself. I had to make it the dreaded "three!" Blessed be everyone.
