Good morning to you!!! It's a pretty day out there, I heard the loons when I went to bed and something is calling out there. There's a load ready to go on the line soon. The rest of the pickles sealed, Todd took them out yesterday morning. I need to start moving this stuff to the basement. My sister gave me more jars yesterday, I'll run them through the dishwasher and put where they go-that way all I have to do is sterilize them before using. I met a lady at a gas station yesterday-she was helping her mom sell some things from a store that she has and had canning lids for $2/box. I got 15 boxes, some are for #1. New and sealed in the boxes, what a deal! The Yeti has a physical this morning, I was wondering why he hadn't made coffee. After two days of everyone else time, I'll do some of my stuff today and then my MIL wants to go to church tonight. I want to leave a few minutes early as I have some books to drop at the public library and we'll get there in time to drop them off. BBL, blessed be. Need to go pet the doggos.

Going to be another humid day. No sun today. Supposed to cool off a bit the end of the week, but temps. in the mid 80's enough to keep the AC on. Doing a load of laundry today I want to make a cucumber salad in the next day or two.
Jane Christina has been at the store for me quite a bit lately but it's just for the basics. I drink a lot of juice so that is bought often. I was out of tomato sauce. I use a lot in the summer to make stuffed peppers & cooked zucchini.

I'm surprised at how much OJ has gone up, almost $2/can at Aldi's and more at WM.

Good morning. Well, y'all don't need a weather report from me, it's not changing other than wind speeds. Yesterday Mandy and I didn't leave the house for 12 hours. She is a good girl, napped all day. LOL
My friend and neighbor, Patty, has been coaxing me to make cards to sell this fall at our porch sale in the park. So I've been working on cards and of course finding things that I need and used to have. I have a couple items that will be delivered today, so I'll have to leave the house one extra time today. My right arm still isn't right so I can't do as much as I had hoped to be doing at this time. But slow and steady wins the race. So far I have 11 Christmas cards done, well three still need an inside verse, but I had to wait for glue and ink to dry and give my arm a rest. Today I will finish them and make a few more.
Blessings to all. God is good all the time.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Another beautiful morning at 75 and sunny. First day of our county fair, so that usually brings heat and sometimes rain. Not too much planned for the day - I have a load of laundry, in the dryer now - it got to spend a few extra minutes in the washer as I had a chatting call from my retired friend. I know, now most of us are, but she was one of the first in my circle so I still refer to her as such. Laurie, some of the things that have went sky high surprise me. I buy very little orange juice and then I usually get a bag at KS when I do. I just shake my head as some things like the canned rolls. I seldom buy them either, but I do read the adds and cream cheese is another one, along with Bush beans, and I do have them on had at all times. Soda had really jumped too. Glad you were able to get the canning lids at a good price - or at any price. Was it last year or the year before you couldn't even find them. Yes, by all means, take some me time today. IC, I will come check out your cucumber salad - I have 3 or more cucumber salads that are favorites. Always refreshing in the summer, or anytime for that matter. Tomorrow I go meet the HS friends - I had a message from the one that comes here and then we go together, that she would go by herself as her BIL was getting a quilt of Valor at the fair down there and his wife invited them to come and surprise him and then she will join us for lunch. Have a good day ladies.

The neighbors just stopped by, we'll be getting their mail for a couple of days. I sent jelly and syrup with them. My Thursday just opened up-the Yeti sent an RSVP for one to his thing tomorrow (I'm good with that) so I think I may need to take a quick nap, feel a headache coming on, probably a caffeine and not eaten yet thing.
When MIL had her shot in her neck, using ultrasound to pinpoint location, they told her it could take 2-3 weeks for relief. I've never had those, so not firsthand insight. The clothes are on the line, the dishwasher just finished, yup, I've earned a sit-down.

Bible Study and then some lunch now it's grannie time.
A cloudy afternoon but I don't think there is to be any rain today. A warm 82* but I'm still cold with a flannel shirt to help warm my up.
Laurie, I'm sure the neighbors thought they had won the lottery when you gave them the goodies you had canned! Good find on the lids, now there will be more things to can.
IC cucumber salad sounds good. I need to ask google about those recipes as we will soon have cukes from the garden.
Mamma sorry to hear that your arm is still hurting. Hope those cards sell, I know each one will be special. At the temps you have I would be spending my time indoors too!
Greenback, I don't do the grocery shopping so I don' t know how much prices have increased. DD did say the bill at Aldi's was almost double over the last 3 years!
As I went to Bible Study I saw a small spotted fawn dead beside the road. On the way home there was a tiny one heading for some trees. Wonder if there had been twins? Yesterday afternoon there was an older one in our back yard.
Time for a little SSD

Grammy, if you go to recipes here, I have a marinated cucumber salad that is very good and a little different than most cucumber salads.

am just not up to par. Most likely I won't be going to Florida. I think when I don't feel well I am better off at home. It is cloudy and hope we get some rain. I am going to have some breakfast and coffee. Maybe that will lift my spirits. Take care

Got the load of laundry washed & dried. Just have to take the clothes out of the dryer. Whenever. Made a small bowl of the cucumber salad. Hope I can chew it.
Carolyn Sorry your not feeling well. Maybe you'll start feeling better & can go to Florida after all. I hope so.
Grammy Some rain coming my way tomorrow. No drought watch here anymore. Beginning of the summer No rain & now we've had to much & lots of flooding.

Good afternoon to all; in fact it's 5:00 so is that afternoon or evening? Regardless, it's been a hot and humid one, cloudy, but no rain.
I've had a busy day, first day I haven't made it to the pool to walk my laps in quite a while (other than when the grand-girls were here). I did my walk this morning, then got to work. We're going to have a cold supper of pasta salad, broccoli slaw and chicken salad (I bought it at Sam's, but the other salads are homemade). I had picked up some lemons on the mark-down veggie bin at one of the grocery stores and I made a homemade pie crust and baked it then found a recipe on TOH for a sour cream lemon pie. Nothing was too hard, it just all took a while. We probably won't have the pie until tomorrow night; we have just enough strawberry shortcake left for tonight. That will leave time for the pie to get good and cold and firmly setup in the fridge.
I also did a load of towels, adding the shower curtain and, while it was down, cleaned that bathroom and the other one and ran the vacuum until it ran out of battery. I keep just a small battery operated upright one here.
Then, I ran to Sam's to get the chicken salad and found some cute shorts and t-shirts on clearance for five of the six grands for back-to-school. Couldn't resist the price of two packs of both for $6.88. And all coordinated so will be cheap interchangeable outfits for them. Much to my surprise, Sam's no longer carries Cetaphil, they have switched to Cerave products, so I ran next door to Wal-Mart (which I try to avoid) and got some there. I use it faithfully every day--wash my face nightly with Cetaphil cleanser, use the moisturizing lotion morning and night, and the cream in a tub goes on legs and arms every morning after my shower.
Came home and added tomatoes I'd picked up (cherry ones that I cut in half) to my pasta salad, unloaded the diswasher, put everything I bought away, recorded it in the checkbook, put the shower curtain back up and have talked to DD#2.
Mike just called that he is on his way home, so I'll just wave to all and wish you a good evening. See you tomorrow!
