Good Morning....
Looks like we are in a really nice weather pattern for a few days. Felt good to have the windows open last night for sleeping.
Lauriet... you've been busy with all that canning. Sure will be nice this winter to have all that.
DH bought his mom a new clock for her wall/table. She has a hard time knowing what day it is and even sometimes if it's morning or night....so this should be very helpful for her.
Not much happening yet. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all. I'll add cereal, peaches, blueberries, strawberries and banana/white chocolate chip bread to Laurie's coffee. My DSIL texted me this morning that we got 1" of rain overnight at home! Hallelujah; PTL! We needed it so badly.
We did end up going home Saturday morning. DH didn't have to report to work, so we slept in (until about 6) and then got up and took our time until 8:00 when we left and went to the local farmers' market. I wanted DH to see it since he hadn't been able to go with me before. We then drove home, stopping for lunch and did some things around the house that afternoon and evening. Yesterday, we hurried home from church and DH quickly got on the tractor and started raking hay with DBIL baling right behind him. It started blowing and raining and they had to stop, but it soon stopped and they went right back at it and, thankfully, got it all baled before last night's rain. We ran into lots of delays on our trip back here last night, it took over 3-1/2 hours to get here when normally it takes about two hours and 20 minutes.
Spent a good bit of Saturday afternoon on the phone with Experian, apparently someone has decided to use my phone number! Good grief!
Tonight's supper will be leftover cheeseburger quesadillas from last week and I will need to get something out of the freezer for tomorrow night's supper. Need to make something for dessert, too. I have actually been out of the cooking mood lately!
I hope to go to the library today or tomorrow. I have finished and returned all the books I'd checked out earlier. I have a list of authors I want to look for. First, it's a trip to a couple of grocery stores to get stocked up for Mike's lunch this week as well as the staples for it--bread, milk, bananas, and he needs more bottled water.
Laurie, I am in awe of your all your canning!
CJ, love the clock, I could use one of those myself!
Wishing all a great day.

Good morning grannies, a heavy shower last night, a very cloudy start is now giving the sun a chance to come out bringing the humidity with it! Temp will be in the 80s this afternoon with the chance of stormy weather. Weeds and flowers are growing and looking beautiful! Those weeds need to come out of there!
Laurie, thanks for the coffee! Time for a SSD and chat with the grannies. Wow you certainly got a lot of canning done yesterday! I'm not sure what choke cherries are. I need to ask google about them.
CJ the clock with everything on it sounds like a good idea for someone who needs a little help remembering the date/day. I find myself checking the computer or the in/out thermometer sometimes.
Yesterday was dgd's birthday dinner with some family coming to help with the celebration. Food was good and so was the company. Instead of cake dgd chose the large homemade cookies made into ice cream sandwiches. Choc. chip and PB cookies with several choices of ice cream mmm so good!
I have shook out a rug, gathered up my laundry and washed a couple of coffee mugs. I might try to do some weeding. It's hard to walk in the flower bed with out falling so I won't do much weeding.
Seems I spend a lot of time with Kindle!

Good morning
Yesterday I got the bug to add more work space to my craft table/area. I made 8 Christmas cards and once again I needed more table/work room. Rather than spend $40 on another table I got the 6 large totes off of the floor. Three went on top of a cabinet and three under the bed, something I didn't really want to do. So with those totes moved I could've had room for another table but decided to make use of two tv trays that are sitting in a corner doing nothing. I cleared the towers that hold all my card stock off of the big table and put them on the trays. Tada, more room on the table and no extra money out of my pocket book. The three large totes hold my winter blankets and such, and Christmas decorations as well as some empty containers that will be sold this fall/winter.
With the added work space I hope to get 8 more, different, Christmas cards made. And more greeting cards as well. I hope to sell some at the park porch sale this fall. A good incentive to do something besides sit and do nothing. Right?
Hot and hot and hot. It's already 93º and it's not even 8 am yet. In this heat the last thing I want to do is be outside. And when I take Mandy down to do her thing, she just stares into outer space. I'm so tired of that, I could scream. I only have patience for so long and then we head back home. Now she will have to wait until I want to go out again. Which could be a very long time from now. She is now pouting cuz she didn't get a treat. I woke up happy but that didn't last long. Not a way I like to start a day. I'm ready to trade her in for a fish. Excuse the grumpy's.
Time to get dressed again and get the leaf blower out to clear an acre of sand off of the porch. UGH! I am not an outdoors person.
CJ, I really like the clock a lot. And I could use one just like that.

Ok, done for the day with kitchen stuff. Nine more quarts of dills done, only two cukes didn't fit in jars-they can go with the two cherry tomatoes in the fridge. These will stay in the canner til cool. Todd took the others out when he got up this morning. So far, all have sealed, three jars of jelly were iffy as to if they sealed or not (different brand of lids) so they went in the fridge to be eaten right away. Boiled, water bathed, all safe to eat but I won't put it on the shelf if not sure. Dishes are washed and in the drain rack and I'll put those away after bit before going to the farm. Beyond that, same old same old here. I've got a short list of things to do when I go today, have to grab a couple of things from the garage too. BBL, going to just sit.
From left to right-chokecherry syrup, apple jelly (mostly juice) and apple jelly with more pulp. Chokecherries are about the size of a medium sized blueberry and each has a pit/seed. If you don't strain it when you cook it they are "crunchy." When ripe are dark maroon and almost black. They grow on bushes similar to lilac bushes and I think are easier to pick as you can stand upright and they. grow in small clusters similar to how grapes grow. We have a lot of them out near the mailbox and up toward the neighbor's house.

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a beautiful morning here today! It's 68 and sunny - not much for breeze though. Last night, some after 7 and I was watching TV when the signal was gone and just like that, was a great big boom, that sounded like a cannon went off, and it started to pour. That lasted about 5 minutes again, and then was over. I actually jumped at that thunder. It just came out of nowhere and the TV came right back on too. I have been to church and back and it was a pretty skinny offering. Came right out and didn't take long. Then I went to KS and got eggs and banana's for tomorrow and forgot to get a loaf of bread. Did treat myself to some plain cake donuts. If I skip the frosting and sprinkles, they can't be that bad for you, can they??? I have an appointment with the foot Dr. early afternoon and then I need to get things organized for the coffee gals tomorrow. I deceided to make a berry cobbler with the berries I got from my sis on 4th of July.. There will be an egg bake of course, and then I have strawberries, cherries, nectarines, bananas and Granny Smith apple for a fresh fruit plate. I thought the nectarines would hold up better than the peaches. Laurie, I had another cup of coffee when I came back from church. I opened a new jar of jam I had in the freezer from DD. It was very good - strawberry - banana. CJ, what a nice and useful gift for MIL. Hope she will begin to mix with some of the others, even though it's doubtful. Debbie, nice to get that hay up and done. It must have seemed strange to take time to slow down on Sat. morning. You are both so busy and get so much into each and every day. Did you get to see any of the Grands while you were home? Grammy, what was the dinner menu for the Birthday celebration, besides the ice cream sandwiches? Nice to have good company!! Mamma, don't you think you would miss Mandy if she wasn't around? Fish are just work and no company. I like your new arrangement for your craft room. Well, I had better get to doing something since my day is so broken up. I got gas while I was at KS so I will be ready to go on Thur. for the HS friends lunch.

Jane, I actually left the house this morning. Besides taking the brat outside. A trip to WM for things I can't find on line and to just get out of the house. Anyway, they had plain doughnuts this morning, so I grabbed some too. I packaged them up into 2 per bag and put them in a bag as well. I love plain doughnuts so I was super happy to find these.....they go fast or they don't get many. I really am not sure I would miss Mandy. One fish bowl isn't a lot of work. hehehe I never wanted another dog when we hit the road in the fifth wheel.(I had to re-home Buddy because he was terrible in a vehicle.) Lola was Marks dog as is Mandy. I don't have the patience or money for one anymore. I'm doing battle with myself on this matter. Mark gave me his blessing to re-home Mandy. So I thought I would give it a try seeing as how she has been through so much in her short life. I gets harder every day.
When I got back from the store I swept off the porch, not a very good job, but enough so I don't slip and fall. Too hot out there to do much of anything. In a bit I'll make something for lunch, but I don't know what. I just know I'm getting hungry.
This afternoon I'll be making cards or something. I have a couple bath towels I want to cut and make into hand towels for the kitchen. Today I picked up some seam binding to finish the edges. It's been so long since I've sewn anything I wonder if I will remember how. Time will tell.

Only thing I'm doing today is take clothes out of the dryer, fold & put away. I did a lot over the weekend. Lots of cooking.
CJ It's been humid here for almost three weeks. AC won't be turned off anytime soon.
Grammy Ice cream sandwiches sound YUMMY
keysc Glad your toe is better.
Mamma Tinker ignores me all the time, especially at night time. She is frustrating too.

This afternoon I got the cube for my cardstock paper so I got that all sorted. And of all the paper I now have, I only have one sheet of red!!!! And with wanting to make Christmas and Valentine cards to yet. I’ve never seen a Santa in a pink or purple suit. LOL So back to Amazon I went and ordered some red card stock. I hope I don’t need anymore paper for a very long time. It’s a good thing I had another TV tray too, cuz I used it.
The sand outside is getting as hot as everything else so I had to put booties on Mandys feet this afternoon. She doesn’t care for them but does leave them on and walks normal with them on too. Pink shirt and pink booties. She is eating her dental treat in the pic. She gets one after our afternoon potty run.
I’ve done nothing but organize paper today so I better get to my lunch dishes and one more cabinet needs my attention too. It’s a mess.
