Good Morning....
It's a warm sunny morning. I can feel the humidity in the air. Coffee was enjoyed on my swing and now to figure out what I want to do today.
My neighbors are on vacation this week, so I'm taking care of her flowers/plants....and she has a lot of them with special instructions on some...LOL I always do it for her when they go away...so no big deal. She knows how to grow flowers and all kinds. Her yard always looks so pretty.
Not much news yet.....have a great day everyone.........

Good morning This morning, even through my earplugs I could hear the raging wind out there. It sounds like thunder or the military base is practicing maneuvers overhead. The mountains can't be seen for all the dirt in the air, they have disappeared behind clouds of dust and dirt. The the prams of the palm trees are pointing straight out to the north. Really strong south wind today I'm so happy that Mandy was quick this morning so we didn't have to breath in so much dirt.
Yesterday Patty and I had such a nice visit. She was here for an hour and a half. Patty said that broke her all time record of visiting and had to make sure she texted her son to tell him. LOL
No plans today, just staying home. I was hoping to get out for a bit today, but with that wind out there, my little SmartCar would bounce around like a ping pong ball. Nope, I'm not going anywhere. No need to leave the house other than to take Mandy out.

Hello, it's sunny and breezy today, I'm taking advantage of it and have a load of clothes on the line. Today is a canning day-a bit earlier than last year. I bought ice cream and needed room in the freezer so took out some juice I'd frozen-cannot waste ice cream! So, it'll be apple jelly and choke cherry syrup. Then on to Pickletown! I got 25# of cukes at the Amish greenhouse yesterday, I simply cannot justify the expense of plants or time to get them for $1/#. My recipe says to go through the process and then leave them in the hot canner overnight, we've done it this way forever, so those will be the last batch of the day. We decided to go to the woods yesterday to pick blueberries, there are 3 pts frozen in the freezer and about 2 1/2 c. of fresh raspberries in the fridge to eat. I'd like to go out for more raspberries and make a batch of jam, I like that. We were in a place we'd picked last year (as were many other people-it's county land so anyone can go there) and the Yeti smelled a bear. So, we left and went to lunch and came back. Then heard a gunshot and yelling as someone was trying to scare a bear away. We were in the bear's yard-the people should've just left, we thought anyway. We got home, only four woodticks for me and one on the Yeti, guess who was outside more? I told him he had to pick over berries then, which I don't like to do at all. After we were home and took a break, the neighbors invited us over for "adult milkshakes", I've never had a Brandy Alexander before, it was pretty good. Needless to say, I slept like a log last night. I've iced my knee, the canner is heating, lids are in a pan, water is heating to sterilize jars, now to get to it. Is there anyone who wants to peel about a pound of garlic? Have a good day.
I should say, I do like picking berries, kind of a mindless activity for me. If I am by myself, I usually listen to a podcast.

Good Afternoon Ladies - - - it's a nice day with a little breeze and sunshine - just 78. I didn't go to church and slept in - - really in, even for me! Laurie, I saw a post on FB about vinegar - be sure it is 5% as many of the cheaper brands are only 4% and that isn't enough to be safe to can with. Raspberry is my favorite jam, big surprise. I don't know if I mentioned that a couple from here, well actually down around the river near the Wexford Church, if you know where that is, were out picking berries a couple of weeks ago and she got bit by a rattlesnake and he had a hard time getting it off of her. She ended up in Rochester after there wasn't the venham in our hospital or LaCrosse and it was really touch and go for awhile I guess. I haven't heard now lately how she is doing. CJ, nice swing weather - I'm sure you are doing a great job with the neighbors flowers. IC, you do really well cooking for yourself. I get lazy sometimes and call a sandwich good, if I don't have something to reheat. Carolyn, hope your toe is better today. Nice job to have done with going through all those pictures. Mamma, be careful out there, we don't want you and your little car to blow away. Not a very nice day in the desert. I was on the phone with DDIL so that took care of the rest of the morning for me. They are getting ready to head out on vacation. They are going to Tennessee with her DB & family. They will be going to Pigeon Forge and that area, and I know they will have a great time once they get there.

And....that's a wrap for today. 11 quarts of pickles in the canners. 5 pints and 11 half-pints of apple jelly and 4 pints and 9 half-pints of chokecherry syrup. There's a bit of each in the fridge to eat as too much for the jars. I'm done for now. I'll do another batch of pickles in the a.m. as I plan to go to the farm tomorrow and spend the night. Tuesday we have a work day at the history center. I don't know how much more jelly I'll do, but may do apple pie fill if my brothers apple trees are productive. I should go upstairs and get something done, at least I have to go up and get a couple thank you cards.

Hi, I know I'm late, I'm also lazy. Just a normal weekend for me, nothing special but nothing bad either. The weather has been fairly descent this weekend. We got rain yesterday but it's been dry late last evening and throughout today. I took a "power nap" then went for a short walk. A couple of neighbors were out so I stopped and talked to them. Maybe I should say it was a bit boring today. LOL I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow. Just routine. Nothing more going on with me.

I've only left the house twice, and that was to take Mandy out to do her thing. Sitting in my recliner I fell asleep for an hour. No sleep again last night and my body needed more sleep than what I've gotten the last few nights. The stronger sleeping pill didn't even help.
In spite of being tired I did get 8 Christmas cards done today. There was a slim chance I was going to make 8 more but my arm/bicep got pretty sore so it was time to quit. Now my tummy is growling so it must be time for a little snack. Maybe some root beer and left over popcorn. Works for me.

Mamma I fell asleep in front of the TV three times this week. Guess our bodies is telling us we need more sleep.
