Good Morning....
We had rain overnight. The humidity is really high and everything is wet. Not a good day to be doing things outside.
I'm heading to my moms in a bit. We are going shopping and lunch today. She wanted a couple things from Costco...so we'll stop there too.
Not much news....guess it's time to head out. Have a great day.........

CJ We both posted at the same time. Some rain here last night too. I know they are calling for some rain tomorrow.
Dusting day for me YUCK Cooking some zucchini today. I have a recipe for chicken cacciatorie(sp) I want to make

Good morning, it rained overnight and is cloudy with rain expected through the day. We do need it. I probably won't be going out. I shouldn't need to water the plants. The hummer has been perching on the lattice on my fence. He's soaking in the rain. LOL The kids came last night, and we had pizza and Dirt Dessert. DGS came and that was special. Today is cleaning and laundry day. I have started on the kitchen valances. They're all cut, measured, ironed and ready to sew. So I might get to them today. We'll see. The coming week is just a repeat of the others..

CJ Enjoy shopping with your mom. Duck the raindrops and carry an umbrella. I hope the situation with your MIL will work itself out. Hugs to you and your DH.
ICOOK I'll be dusting too and it's also my least favorite thing to do. That and cleaning the tub/shower. Yuck! Take a break now and then.

Good morning grannies. A cloudy morning with rain heading this way again. temp is lower for today with it staying in the 70s today.
Laurie hope it's a good day for you! I'm sure you are headed out to do something for someone.
CJ a shopping day with mom sounds good. Maybe you will see something you just have to take home with you.
IC another busy grannie, it's dusting and cooking day. That chicken C. sure sounds good.
Elle I'm sure the new valances will be a pretty addition to your kitchen. Those little things sure do brighten our day. Don't you love to watch those tiny little humming birds. So tiny and so fast!
Nothing much going on with me today. My cleaning lady has gone somewhere with dad and sisters this morning then they have a picnic with a group this afternoon with food and swimming. Hope it doesn't rain on them, it doesn't look like a good day for outside activity!
Just some pick up and put away will be most of my cleaning today. I will turn the robot loose to clean up the floor. That will be enough for one day.
I was without internet most of the day yesterday. I finally asked and found out this computer was the only one off line! Chef checked it out and found a breaker had tripped! A quick fix when the problem was found.
Dd, dsil and I will go out to dinner if everyone else is gone. Plans subject to change!

GRAMMY I hope your cleaning lady and family will be able to enjoy the swimming etc. I guess it won't matter if they get wet-er while swimming. LOL It'll be nice for you to go out with DD and DSIL, just the 3 of you. Will it be a special kind of food place?

Elle the rain is just starting now with a few sprinkles. I have no idea where we might go for dinner. I just requested that it be someplace where I can sit down and have table service. I hate those lines where you have to order. I don't go there often enough to know what I might want and need some time to read the menu while the people behind me get more impatient!

Good Morning Ladies - - - Well, it's a much quieter morning here today - - although the phone did just ring again, but not one that I answered. It feels rather nice sitting here in front of the open window. Nothing planned here today except some general pick up and dishes that need to be done. I had some of the cherries that I got last night and were they ever good.
Laurie, what's on the schedule for you today? Enjoy
CJ, don't know if we had rain or not - I didn't hear it, but there's a spot on the deck that is wet. Have a good time shopping and lunching!

Good morning
Hot and sunny and so the month goes. Nothing new there.
Yesterday while Lincoln and I were texting, his mother in law, who is staying with them for awhile, over heard the conversation. Well to make a long story short, I will no longer need to purchase a new Shark Robovac. Annie ordered one for me to be delivered this coming Friday. I was going to wait and see how much my insurance covered all my shoulder stuff. And if I had enough left I would order. Lincoln said that once she got started she found all kinds of things she thought I should have. But he, thankfully, put a kabosh on that. (Maria's family is very wealthy.) I don't need any more stuff. The new Robovac will go row by row and not haphazard like the one I have now. Mine will have the job of doing the bedroom. I'll close the door in there for half an hour and in that time the floor should be done. The new one, which is like my first one, will have the whole rest of the house with little effort from me. PTL
Having a family that hardly knows me, adopt me, and my own family disown me, is heart warming and overwhelming. Lincoln said that they all consider me a blood relative. Makes me cry every time he says that to me.
I finally convinced my neighbor Patty (Mikes wife) to come over. She is more of a house mouse than I am. I'm so excited to get a chance to visit with her and not just her hubby. hehehe I know Mike very well because he has always been my helper since Mark passed. Patty is just the nicest person you could ever meet, but quite introverted. I think we will have a nice visit even if it is short. She says she is not much of a visitor, we will see about that. LOL
CJ, have a great time with your dear mom.
Elle, what a nice night you had with family. Such treasured times they are.
Grammy, good that the issue was found and solved. Not fun having a computer down. Almost as bad as a/c going down in the summer. hehehe
IC, thanks, I need to do my little bit of dusting this morning too. Not much to dust in this little place, but still has to get done sooner or later. Not my favorite job either.

Good afternoon, I don't know where the days are going. I have not been doing a lot because of the sore toe.  It is hard to walk. The kids picked up anything that I need, which is not a lot. I am trying to finish my watermelon. Won't buy another for now. I tried the low carb thing, this is the 17th. day, mainly to see if it would help with getting rid of some pain. Get my stomach situated, etc. so far it isn't working. Guess I am expecting way too much in a short time. Who knows? I have a Rock City bird house and every year there is a new family. They start in April and usually leave in June, so the newest ones are gone now. My friend in Texas says it is pitifully hot there. Someone said I have never seen it as hot as it is now. Well, I have. When we lived in Lemoore, California, I have seen the temps. 135. But, the humidity in not like it is here, and they have the Santa Ana winds to help. However a lot of the winds help with fires spreading. We left there in the early 70's. The Dr. gave me a anti-biotic and it made me so sick. I stopped taking it. Guess I should call and see if she can change it. I had big plans for yesterday to meet my friend for lunch. But, with my injured toe I couldn't stand to wear a shoe. I am trying to sort my 5000 pictures. Honestly, I probably have that many. I love taking pictures. Found one of me by the beach in 1965, in shorts and top. I looked quite young there.  ) Well, I was about 23. I can't look at at lot of pictures of my DH and DGS and my parents too long. Can't see them through the tears. Hope all of you are well. If I am not on here everyday, please don't forget me. ))) Mamma, I sure hope the injection helps your shoulder. |

I've been busy all day Got the zucchini cooked & working on making stuffed peppers now. I'll make the chicken cacciatorie yet. Haven't eaten yet today. Think I'll eat some watermelon while the chicken is cooking. Did some dusting. Probably finish the bedroom tomorrow.

The rain stopped and the sun is shining, it's 76*! I just got in from a walk, stopped and talked to my neighbor. Nice evening. I got the house cleaned, did the laundry, ironing and not much else. Just stopping in to say "hi" again and good night.
