Good Morning....
We had rain overnight. We were under a tornado watch that, I guess, changed to a warning through the night but I didn't know anything about it. Guess it wasn't here. Much cooler this morning but the humidity is very high. Will be around 80 today.
Not sure what I'll be doing today. The fridge needs a good cleaning and tossing of old stuff. I'll go check on DD's house, cats and get their mail. They will be home sometime on Saturday.
Coffee is ready....have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's 70 out and feels dampish out there. It's cloudy, so will see what the day brings. I have an appointment to get the shot in my shoulder and then later, go out with the YaYa's. Not sure where we are headed, as it's not my turn. Otherwise not much happening here. They finished the roof yesterday, despite the rain. after it quit, they came. It was a smooth process, but am glad to have it over as I can live nicely without all of that noise.

Good morning all, I had to log in this morning. Hmmmm, #1 set it all up so I just do a fingerprint touch on the power button and bada bing! He did something similar to my phone too, so if it requires a password it just uses a face screen. Hmmm, there too, wonder if "Siri" in my phone thinks-"dang, she needs more sleep?" I was lazy yesterday, was laying on the couch trying to decide if I would nap or not and Guest Dog laid down opposite me so our heads could touch. So, since the guard dog was on couch duty, I took that as a clue to be a bum. I made the cookies, I'll add the recipe to the recipe part. Butter, oil, two kinds of sugar, make balls and squish with a glass, my favorites. They went over well. You had to tell why you brought what, so many awesome stories and foods. I brought the cookbook that Mom's friend gave me too. One of the members is planning a mystery day, stops at several places, I think we are ending at a winery, scavenger hunt, should be fun. So many things about her remind me of one of my aunts, she is also hilarious. By the way, the book we read was Black Cake, one of the hostesses made the cake as well-kind of a fruit cake, very dense, good too.
The hospice nurse called yesterday and said Dad was back up in his recliner and back to his usual sassy self. This has been a crazy roller coaster but I'll take the high part for now.
Best get something done, blessed be.

Good morning Heat and more heat and right now no breeze. Mandy was quick this morning and for that I was happy. I swept off the porch and took the golf cart off the charger and switched it and the car around. That is enough outside for this gal. I was soaking wet when I came in. Looks like another shower before my appointment this afternoon. I'll be water logged with all the showers I take now. At least the dew point is down some this morning.
The sheets are in the washer and in a bit I'll put clean sheets on the bed. Or put the ones being washed on the bed once they are dry. The sheets will be clean now until I am able to change them in another 5 days or so. No way could I let the sheets go for two weeks. Not with the night sweats I have. Eeeewwww. I would say the dishes I washed last night are dry by now, so I'll put them away and then see about another cup of coffee, rest, and then put the clean sheets on the bed. Then rest again. LOL Sounds like a good plan, lots of rests.

Good morning, it's a cloudy and sunny a.m. here. I haven't been outside so I'm not sure about the humidity. It's game day, next month it will be at my house. So, I'll try to think of something to snack on for them. I just got off the phone with DISH to lock in my monthly charges. I thought they would say it would change, be higher! But they're giving me the same deal they did 6 months ago. That's a good start to my day.
CJ I'm glad you didn't get any storms and that you were able to sleep through it. How many cats does your DH have? Thanks for the coffee.
GREENBACK I would be glad the new roof and noise of installing it is over too. It can be nerve wracking. LOL Have fun with the YaYa's today.
I think the mail went so I'll so see what's in my mailbox. Have a blessed day everyone.
LAURIE Good morning, you and Mamma snuck in at the same time I was.
MAMMA I'm glad the battery to the golf cart is charged and you can use that now. Does Mandy like riding in it? Rest is ok when it's so hot! Relax and enjoy the day.

Elle...DD has 2 cats. One is so friendly, looks like my Frisco and friendly like he was too. The other one is such a scaredy cat and hides all the time. I rarely see him.
I did a walk around the yard with my clippers. Dead headed a lot of plants, especially where the deer ate the flowers off and left the long stems. Looks much better now. The sun has come out and starting to heat up and humidify the air. I'll be out on my swing for a while, but then come in to cool off.

My baby came to see me again. Love it.
I will miss him when I leave.
My toes are all bruised, but it has eased up a bit in pain.
My DS is picking up a pork loin for me and I will fix that into
barbq for the reunion. Glad I didn't have to get out.
Maybe a couple more days I will be able to walk better.

Goodmorning grannies, the sun is shining the clouds are white and puffy temps is heading for the 80s this afternoon but humidity will still be low! A beautiful morning! No rain in the forecast that has been dropper for today. Maybe we will have time to dry out before we get more rain.
CJ sorry to hear the that the day is nice but the humidity makes it a good day to be inside with the AC on. I'm sure you are missing the little ones. Rest while you can they will soon be with you again.
Time to have the pacemaker checked and this means a trip to the Dr. The appointment is for 12:30? Too early or too late for lunch! Maybe I should take a PG sandwich with me!
Debbie in honor of my graduation there was a special treat at supper time. A yummy fried banana pudding was enjoyed by all! I even had some for breakfast. It is fruit, milk and eggs!
I started this post this morning and got a call from #2 spent almost and hour on the phone chatting with her. Then it was time to get dressed, have some lunch and off to have the pacemaker checked. It was working fine with only some minor adjustment I don't need that done for another year!
Laurie that sounds like a fun book club to belong to
Mama I would usually put the just washed and dried sheets back on the bed. I don't like to fold those fitted sheets. That first night on nice clean sheets is an awwww night.
Carolyn glad to hear that the toe feels better. Sounds like a good choice for the reunion! Save some for me!

Grammy, do tell about the banana pudding! How did chef do it? I am so glad your accomplishments were so aptly recognized! I agree that it is a perfect breakfast food! In fact, I have peaches and cream bread pudding left over that I told Mike would be good for breakfast!
We got a bit of rain here in IL overnight, but not enough to keep Mike from working today--in fact, it only made the humidity worse. And, according to DSIL who lives on the farm right behind us at home, not one drop there! Good grief! If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny. She said there was lots of thunder, wind and lightning, but not one drop of rain!
Went to Target this morning. I was getting some increasingly urgent texts from the pharmacy about getting two prescriptions picked up that they never let me know about the first go 'round and Mike had some to pick up, so I just asked the pharmacist at this Target to pull them and fill them here for me. I got my two with no problem, but they didn't have enough to fill 90 days worth of Mike's, so we will pick that up at the home Target this weekend and, if we don't go home, they will order in enough to fill his order.
Treated myself to lunch at Panera Bread. I love their duos, they are only $6.99 for a generous cup of soup and a half sandwich with your choice of apple, chips or hunk of baguette to accompany it. They only have certain combinations at that price, but it is a well-priced relatively healthy lunch. And, to my surprise, I had $3 in rewards so my $6.99 duet today was $3.99! I had the wild chicken and rice soup with a Napa chicken salad sandwich and both were tasty. I chose chips for my side and brought those home to enjoy with a sandwich here sometime.
Sending off a check today to reserve a place in Branson for all the family between Christmas and New Year's. That seemed to be enjoyable last year, so we are trying it again. Although still in Branson, it will be a different condo this year, in fact, it will be a whole house, a new build, so everything should be good and it has one more bathroom which was the only complaint about last year's place. The only caveat is that they plan to have an indoor pool completed in the complex by that time, but can't guarantee it. That is a "must" for our grands, so I can cancel if it isn't completed in time.
Time to make Mike's lunch for tomorrow. Tonight, we are cleaning the fridge out of leftovers. I have some shredded green chile beef and some deviled round steak leftover and will cook a batch of egg noodles and we can have whichever we want over that. I have some slaw to go with. Last night's cheeseburger quesadillas were really good, and we have two of those left, but will save those for another time. The shredded green chile beef is very mild, not spicy at all. I used a big chuck roast and we had it the first night over mashed potatoes and the second night rolled up in warm tortillas. The little girls that were here loved it both ways. I have to remember to give their mommas the recipe.
Wishing all a good afternoon.

This morning I got a text saying Phyllis hurt her ankle and can't take me to the hospital today. Mike sent me that text and said that he will be taking me. Phyllis was kind enough to ask him when she knew she couldn't. I've got such a small but wonderful circle of friends by me.
A teacher that worked in the same school as I just contacted me. I haven't heard from her since I left the school system. It's great catching up with her but she has had such serious health issues. Age isn't always kind.
Lunch is done, bed remade, eye make up on and now to do nothing but wait.
Grammy I don't mind folding the fitted sheets, but hate putting them on the bed in our teeny tiny bedroom. I wack my elbow on the wall most every time.
Carolyn, if you can move your toes, they are not broken and I'm so happy that yours are not and that they are feeling better today. PTL Take it easy though.
Jane I hope you have a wonderful time with the Ya Ya's.
Elle, Mandy loves to ride in the golf cart. She jumps right in and sits like a princess. Sometimes she will want me to hold her close to my body while she looks out over the steering wheel. She can see better there. hehehe
CJ, those naughty deer. Too bad they like your flowers.
Laurie, prayers for you and your dad continue.

Debbie, the pudding we had was delicious. DD did a Google search and found something the two younger ones could help with. It was a pudding with fried bananas added and topped with graham cracker crumbs. I hear that the new food at fairs is fried banana pie! I suppose you should do a search and see of any of the recipes are similar to what you had. With your kitchen talents do a little tweaking and I know it would be goood!

A busy day. It usually is when Christina is here. Now four days of being home till we take Tinker for her shot next Tuesday. Christina legs are better. She got the floors done. Took me to see my cardiologist. Got a good report. Don't have to go back for a year unless I have symptoms. He said I'm doing good.
