ICOOK I hope Christina gets to feeling better soon. I'm sure Tinker misses her too!
MAMMA Great that it went well with the insurance and title business. The DMV here is usually busy too and one of most that I do not like going to. I think you're wise for beating the crowd. I hate to admit it but I also am learning to enjoy being lazy.
GREENBACK! Wow! Celebration time and that is absolutely the best news. I have a friend who's been battling breast cancer for about 4 years. Her last Dr. visit was good news, the tumor had shrunk from a 5 ml to a 1 ml. So happy for you!!!!!!!

Hello! Home from the dentist, made a few stops and at the house now. I’ll be leaving soon, going to stay at the farm tonight and go to the History Center tomorrow, I’m skipping the one here in town tonight. Called the N Home, pretty much the same so I’ll go after the meeting tomorrow and visit. He was falling asleep after he ate some yesterday and I was too, packed it in and came back here. Talk to you later. Sorry about the font size, on my phone again.
Jane-congrats! This is a banner day. I’m heading to the farm in a couple minutes-it’s noisy here again. I don’t have patience for the shrieking sound that one does snd thinks is funny. If the adults would say stop it would help.

The baby is fine. His grandpa was tired and I got to see him yesterday. He is full of grins and Baby talk and kicks those legs. 😊

Good afternoon to all! It is a sunny, hot, but less humid day here. It is painfully dry, parched, however you want to say it, at home. It is truly sad. We and everyone else are getting 1/3 the hay we did last year. What grass we do have is brown and crunches underfoot. I think it has forgotten how to rain in central Missouri.
I made it through 4-1/2 days and 4 nights with three little girls! We had lots of fun, but, oh my, I had forgotten how energetic a 2 year old could be! Trinity (8) and Amelia (6) played together and were little mother hens (sometimes to excess on big sister's Amelia's part), and were a big help, but that little Josie Mae is fast, inquisitive, and, well, 2! While trying to check out at the grocery store last week, several things from the nearby racks like candy, gum, etc., kept appearing on the checkout line! And, we brought along a little step stool for her that she must have carried at least a mile while she was here, moving it to wherever I was because she would say "whatcha doin'? Me want to see!" And when you told her what you were doing, she said "why"? LOL! Just getting three girls with lots of hair showered and ready for bed was a big deal every night. And, Josie was so happy when she went to run to greet Paw Paw when he got home one evening that she ran head first into the door lever and got a BIG bruise and bump on her forehead--it is the first thing you see when you look at her now. We Face-timed her mommy to show it to her and get her advice on whether or not we should have her checked out and that brought out the tears which broke her mommy's heart so we didn't Facetime again. She did really well, though, slept on a pallet in our room. Restless the first night, but played so hard each day foreward, with little or no nap, that she slept soundly the rest of the time she was here. Mike got a little grumpy with all the squealing, giggling, etc., but they were really good and I played them so hard during the day that they went to bed when he did and were up not long after he left for work. I told him he had just forgotten how to live with little girls!
Jane, I am so very glad for the anniversary of your surgery, because it means you won and we all still have you in our close circle of friends! You are an inspiration to me!
Our family reunion was yesterday and it was bittersweet without Aunt Pat. My mom hadn't gone since Dad died in 2015, but she was remembered by everyone several times yesterday and specifically in our group prayer. It was good to see everyone who was able to come.
To make up for sparse grocery shopping last week, I went to four different grocery stores this morning and ran to Target for some over-the-counter meds we needed. Mike fussed last night that our little freezer was getting too full, so I pulled out two small packages of round steak and three little sirloin steaks. This afternoon, I seasoned and fried up the round steaks, put them in the crockpot, added some onion slices to the skillet along with a bit of brown sugar, some Worchestershire sauce, and a can of diced tomatoes and got that all bubbling and then poured that over the steak to cook this afternoon. My MIL calls it deviled roundsteak and we haven't had it in a long time. Actually, I think it will be the little sirloin steaks for supper tonight, along with onion rings done in the oven and corn on the cob, and the deviled roundsteak will be cooled and refrigerated for tomorrow night, served with mashed potatoes and a salad. I was going to grill the steaks, but the outside kitchen here has two grills and they are both out of propane. So, they will be done in my iron skillet. Now, I'm wishing I'd bought the mushrooms I saw on mark-down at one of the grocery stores today.
Time to get going on supper as Mike will be getting off in half an hour. I loved reading about what all of you have been doing the last few days and hope to get fully back in the loop tomorrow.
Love to all....
