It's a beautiful day out there, no rain for a few days and low humidity temp in the 80s. Maybe I can sit the sun and get warm for a little while.
I start with the quick morning post as it's my way of trying to avoid the collision in the door as we all try to get in here at the same time. No more stuck in the door way for me.
I have spent the last 2 nights in my bed! Maybe I'll be able to move from the power chair and sleep in the bed. I have spent several months sleeping in the chair. Now it's difficult to make the change. I haven't slept well for years and this doesn't seem to be much different. I'm usually in bed around 10:00 an up about 6 with no naps if I can avoid it.
Nothing on my list other than rehab this afternoon. A little pick up and put some things away. My cleaning lady does a pretty good job for a 13 year old. This time she though she might like to work as a maid when she is older. That work will always be in demand so be a good one!
I did have prescriptions to order this morning. Ouch! The cost of those eyedrops!

Good sunny morning from my neck of the woods too. It's a beautiful day!! We're heating up though, but hey, it's summer right? I might not feel like this in the winter though. LOL I had lab work done this a.m. and will see my local Dr. next week. This was a fasting lab so I'm just now having breakfast.I have no particular plans for today either. Maybe I'll get started on the valances for my kitchen???!!?? I walked last evening and should get motivated to do that again while it isn't too hot.
GRAMMY Kathy is one smart young lady!! You're definitely a good, wise influence in her life too. We need cleaning people etc. as much as we need "executives, etc." I'm so glad you got some sleep in your bed. I don't know if it matters where we sleep, just so we sleep. I don't nap every day but some days my eyes just won't stay open. Yesterday I took a nap, up about 15 minutes then did another 45 minute nap. Yikes! But I did sleep well last night.
Time to get the day going. Hi to all coming in.

Good morning GrammyOh and all to come. It is 63 and overcast. Feels good. Have the doors open. I don't sleep so well either. Up and down so many times. Yesterday I really felt so bad. So, I ate some canned peaches and actually got a little energy. Waiting this morning for the baby's visit. He is tired today so may not come today. 🥲 Hope all of you are well. I have a Dr. appt. Tomorrow for bloodwork. Be back later 🌺

Good morning. A warm, windy morning. I slept in until 7:10 and Mandy was kind enough to leave me be. There is a bit of humidity out there this morning but the heat will burn it off, hehehe It was so breezy that I really didn't notice the humidity and it was already hot.
This morning I need to wash a load of dark clothes and take an Amazon return to the UPS store. Then I'll have some ironing to get done. I also hope to work on some more cards. Nothing urgent just something to do. The porch needs to be swept off before to long, I don't want to slip and fall.
Happy Monday

CAROLYN Did baby have a rough day/night? I hope he's ok. I know you was looking forward to snuggling him. My baby (DGS) is 23 years old. No DGGC but I sure hope to have one before I die.
MAMMA You slept in and I woke up early. Stay cool today. When I see your temps I try not to complain about mine. LOL

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a nice day here also but will be heating up, since it's 79 already. I don't really mind the heat that much if the humidity isn't making it miserable. No plans for the day except to make something with the hamburger I took out of the freezer a couple of days ago. I'm thinking I will make DD's favorite hot dish. It's the burger, onion, noodles, mushroom soup, cream style corn and cheese. I use to make this often, but it's been a long time now since I have. It makes a good sized dish, so will have a few meals. I thought I froze chili the last time I made it, but couldn't seem to find it when I looked over the weekend. Guess I just kept eating it until it was gone. Grammy, I like to send that quick greeting when I open the door too, but sometimes still get caught with another in the doorway. I hope you get out and can enjoy some sunshine and warm rays. Ellie, good to have those blood draws early in the morning. You will enjoy the results of your sewing everyday when you look out the windows. Carolyn, I hope the baby does get to visit you. They just make our day a little better with their cuteness! Mamma, hope you can stay cool - - it's must be wearing to be so hot every day. Wish they had the pool up and running for you to cool off in. Take it easy. Hope everyone has a good day!

Good Morning....
It's a beautiful day here too. The temps are to be in the upper 80's but I think the humidity won't be too bad.
I enjoyed my coffee on the swing. I've been making a little more than usual so i get 2-3 cups (decaf). That way I can stay out there longer....LOL
I went around the yard, like every morning, and check on the flowers. Well....that darn deer was back, even though I sprayed last night, and got two more of my plants. These two flowers are suppose to be deer resistent. Hmmmm!!! They will make a comeback as long as it doesn't keep eating it but it will take longer.
When I got up this morning I heard a bird sound that I have never heard. I quick went to the door wall and looked out. There was a Quail on my patio. I wasn't sure what it was at first...a little smaller than a chicken. I googled quail and, yes that's what it was...even listened to the sound it makes and that's what I heard. My yard seems to be a nature preserve..LOL Never know what will show up next and the funny thing is I live in a subdivision...not in the country.
I generally sleep okay at night. Might wake up a couple times, but can roll over and go back to sleep. DH, on the other hand, has troubling sleep...crazy weird dreams and just plain not being able to stay asleep.
Hope everyone has a great day.

GREENBACK, Good morning, I'm sitting here thinking, as I read the granny posts, some of us seem to have little to do, so we're bored, maybe not, but it is what it is. I was thinking of the days, weeks, years I worked and couldn't wait to retire so I could do "nothing." Now that it has happened, I feel guilty if I'm not doing "something." Am I ever satisfied? LOL Truthfully, I'm thankful to be retired but some days are lonelier, emptier than others. That's when the friendships of the GN help me through the day. Have a good day.

CJ How exciting! Your beautiful yard with all the pretty flowers attract many things. I enjoyed time outside with my coffee today too. I love doing that.
I just got in from a walk. A neighbor stopped and talked to me for a while. Now it really time to get something done.

It took me awhile to get at it, but I got the titles and insurance changed over to just my name. Actually I didn’t need to change the titles because they were written as, either or. So I didn’t need to pay for a change. As long as I was there I got my drivers license renewed, which is due in November. The DMV is one of the last places to be when the birds get here. From there I went to get the home owners insurance changed. That was painless. I had copies of everything I needed in an envelope for months. So I was prepared. Those places are always so busy. But since I went early morning I got in and out quickly. Now I’ve got the load of laundry going, finishing my coffee, and need to make the bed.
Elle, I too feel guilty when I am doing nothing. But the feeling doesn't last long. I've learned to like being lazy. LOL
Jane, the heat doesn't wear on me as much as the snowbirds do when the park fills up. I'm hoping that the trouble makers are less again this year. But as unkept as the park is there could be issues. And for that I won't blame them.

Ellie, you stated it so perfectly - - Just how I feel in my heart also. It's the people that I miss most in my life! CJ, is your subdivision on the edge of town? You certainly do have lots of critter visits. Enjoy your day.
I just realized that this a very important day for me. I am 8 years cancer free. It was on this day in 2015 that I had my breast surgery! Thank heavens for the results and all of the wonderful people that walked that journey with me.
