Good morning! I can’t adjust the size as my computer is acting up so I’m on my phone. It’s a gorgeous day, put some stuff on the line and am going to the nursing home soon. The lake is like glass and the lions are calling. Have a good day all, blessed be.

Good morning to all from hot and humid IL. I have a rare moment to check the computer as we brought Trinity (8), Amelia (almost 7) and Josie Mae (2) back with us and I have been a busy grannie! The apartment complex had things looking quite festive with games and decorations when we got back here ay evening and the girls immediately took advantage of the pool. Yesterday, we hit Sky Zone trampoline park and then Chuck E Cheese for lunch and games until mid afternoon. After supper, we went to a popular ice cream spot for an evening treat. We hit two grocery stores early in the morning and, oh my, I had forgot what a challenge it can be shopping with little ones. Thank goodness for Trinity wo is so good at helping with her little cousin Josie Mae and with Amelia. We also made up some overripe and frozen bananas into banana bread which they enjoyed with cinnamon butter and a side of grapes for breakfast this morning.
Today we are going to the splash park, they have been coloring with chalk on the small patio and we have fed stale buns to the ducks on the lake. The splash park does not open until 10:30 and they think that is a lifetime to wait. Josie had some tears last night when her mommy Facetimed us so I don't think that will happen again. But, with all the jumping and playing and no nap yesterday, she was just tired. She slept soundly and woke up quite happy. This afternoon we may all get pedicures. They are currently also playing with silly putty I had for them and we have packed a bag of drinks and snacks for the splash park. It is hard to keep the squealing and giggling decible level down as these country kids are not used to living in an apartment complex--and I hope they never have to be.
I feel like I don't even know what's going on in the world as my usual news channel has been replaced by cartoons and yesterday afternoon when we got back from bouncing and lunch, we took turns taking early showers and resting and watched Daddy's Home 2 which they found quite funny.

Good morning
Just finished my first cup of coffee and trying to decide if I want another cup to sweat some more. hehehe It was Keurig coffee this morning. Last night I was too lazy to set up the coffee maker. Plus I do enjoy the full flavor from the Keurig.
Washing rugs this morning and cleaning some floors. Yesterday I made an anniversary card and hope to get a few more made today. I've got some new stamps coming today and I'm hoping that they are better than the last ones. Some are so small that it's hard to read the message. I'm sure Amazon gets tired of all the returns, and it's easier to return to them than anywhere else.
Short trip outside this morning. I did not wait for Mandy to stop staring into space and do her number 2. I'm no longer going to take her out at 7, she can now wait for me to get darn good and ready. All she does is stare into space anyway. And I am not sitting in that smelly space all morning waiting for her to remember why we are there anymore. I don't care if it sounds mean. I can be just as obstinate as she can be. No more morning games, I don't do games. She is now pouting cuz she didn't get a treat when we got home.
Time to get the rugs on the lines and tackle the floors.

Goodmorning grannies, it was a nice sunshine morning till the clouds moved in. more rain coming this afternoon. What? More rain! We don't know what to do with the last rain we had. Would love to share this with those who need it. Getting dark and some wind the rain might not wait till afternoon! I better dash out there and close the umbrella! I finally got the umbrella closed it's almost too tall for me to reach the button to lower it. Just a brief shower but I'm damp.
Laurie a nice calm lake with loons add a cup of coffee and that would be a perfect start for any day.
Debbie we love those dgc but a day with them opens our eyes to why we are grand parents not the parents. Lucky we are to love them, kiss them good bye and send them home.
Mamma now explain all that to Mandy! Hope she pays attention. Love my Kreug and it gets a workout every morning! amazon even had those little filters. I believe Amazon has just about anything you would want.
A few jobs to do here and one was weed eating around my patio. When I walked outside something was trying to get on my shirt! It was a little House Wren! They nested in the bird house hanging underneath the deck and are just now coming out of the nest. I did see two little ones.
Next thing was a little ironing. That wasn't as much fun as seeing the wrens. Just another little job that's done. One more thing for the day...finish the papers for rehab so I will have them ready to return tomorrow. Only 3 more time and I'll be finished.
Almost time for some lunch

The sun has been in and out. No rain but there is a chance later on. My lawn is supposed to get mowed this p.m. so I'm selfishly hoping it holds off. I think we still need some rain. I've cut my hair, got the hallway, spare room and my bedroom cleaned. I have the sheets in the dryer and will put them back on the bed when they dry. I might make some potato salad today, not sure. It's been a while since I've made it. I bought a new shower liner and I might try putting that up too. If not today, another day will work.

DEBBIE Debbie!!! you are an absolute bundle of energy, committment and love!! All I can say is, You Go Girl!! But do remember to take care of yourself! LOL You're making some very precious memories!!
MAMMA The personal cards are so special to those who receive them. Don't underestimate how much they mean to the person receiving them.
GRAMMY What an experience having the baby wren come to you. The robins are really using the birdbath here. They splash so much I usually need to add water to it every day. I had a house finch at the feeder yesterday. Gotta love the birds!

Good Morning Ladies - - - I know I'm late today, but, for once, I couldn't do anything about it! I had no internet! Not a good way to start my day - almost like not having an coffee for first thing in the morning. It is amazing how much you can get done without it though! Maybe it should of held off a little longer. Bedding is in the dryer, towels are out of it and put away. Put some dishes away, but do have the dishwasher to unload yet. My cleaning couple are due today, so hope they make it.
Laurie, hope all is well when you get to the NH. Lakes are always so pretty when it's so smooth.
Debbie, I bet those 3 little sweeties do have you going on all speed ahead! Your banana bread with the special butter sounded like a good breakfast. I had English Muffin, but had forgotten to take out of the freezer last night. Can you get the girls quieted down when Mike wants and needs to get to bed?
Grammy, how fun to have that little wren like you so well! You have had a busy morning, so hope you can rest now after lunch.
Mamma, your reminder on the stamps reminded me that I ordered 3 books a couple of weeks ago and haven't gotten them yet, so I called the PO. They, of course, had no clue. This happened to me once before, but I had put it in the outside box and they said they didn't sort those, just send them on. This time, I put it in my box, like I was told to do, and if anyone would have looked at the envelope, they would have known it was not to go on. That reminded me that I was also to call my FA to discuss my IRA distribution, so got that call made also. Sounds like Mandy is treading on mighty thin ice with you!
Well, I still need to get a couple of more things done before they come - - Have a nice day ladies.

Good Afternoon....
It's a muggy rainy day here. There is a little break right now and Penny is on the tire swing (with her rain boots on). It is very muddy under it. We should get a little break from the humidity starting tonight. I do not like humidity!!!
I was so happy when we walked into DD's house and the kids saw us. We got huge smiles and giggles. I was afraid after being with the other grand parents for so long that they wouldn't be interested in coming home with us. But they are the happiest little kids ever. Teddy is talking more too. Still a picky eater. I don't know what DD does to feed him. If he doesn't want it, over the side of his highchair it goes.
DH had to go see his mom. She has been so confused lately and doesn't want to go down to the dining room for her lunch. He and his brother have arranged it with the office that they will box up her lunch but they have to take it up to her. So, it's DH's day. She got her new hearing aids yesterday, but didn't have them in cause she couldn't remember how to get them in her ears. I feel so bad for her. We are really seeing her declining in the past few months.
Debbie....sounds like a fun time for your granddaughters.
Well, Penny is back in and Teddy is napping...so I'll find something for her to do. Have a great day.......

Raining here, and I just love hearing it. It has cooled down but then I am indoors so it doesn't matter. And, I can handle the heat better than most.
I went to the grocery store and walmart yesterday. Also paid my water bill and got my new car license plate.
So, came home and did a few chores, took a shower and did laundry.
I need to make a dr. appt. to get this knee checked. Otherwise I may not be doing anything. I also need a haircut.
My Sr, meeting is the 20th. it is just a luncheon at a pizza place.
Then the 22nd. is my family reunion. And the 24th is my trip.
If I don't get some pain resolved about my knee I may not be going on that trip.
I hope I can, even though I am ok staying home. 
Did I say I got my first cucumber yesterday? It was delicious. Yes I had to eat it, so I would know how good they are.
I am eating low carb, so the pizza luncheon will be just salad. They have a nice salad bar there.
Debbie, you sound as if you are having fun with your DGD's.
Elijah came to see me this morning. He stays with my son and his wife while his Mommy and Daddy work.
That is how I get to see him often. He is so wiggly and active I can not hardly hold him. I will sure miss him while I am gone.
Don't know how long I will be gone as I have a one way ticket.
We had a good 4th. weekend. Even my DD and my DGson and his 2 boys came over for a couple of nights. That was nice, and they surprised me.
Guess I will get off here for now.
Still drinking some coffee. Dishes and clothes are done, but need to vacuum if I can do it.

Still muggy here with no cool weather in sight. Thank goodness for AC I even lowered the temp. on it a little. A busy day Christina was here. She did the floors & gave the bathroom a quick clean. Next week she'll be here three days instead of two. One of her clients is in the hospital so I'll get some extra time. I want her to give my fridge a good cleaning. Two appts. next week. Hair cut & an appt. with the cardiologist.
Had a check up this morning with the oral surgeon to check my gum from the tooth extraction. Didn't know it but I had a stitch in my gum. Surgery for my gum surgery is scheduled for beginning of August. Not looking forward to that He said I'll be living on liquids & soups for awhile.
Elle I've been thinking of making some potato salad. Don't know if to make regular or Italian one.
Grammy You'll be glad that your heart rehab. will be over.
Mamma Tinker is just like Mandy when I take her out to go potty. She dilly dallies till she decides where she wants to go.

Just came in from the afternoon duty call. No staring into space in the afternoon. IC, if Mandy would dilly dally in the morning I wouldn't mind so much. But she just stands and stares into outer space. Like she is listening to her home planet or something. She doesn't even hear me when I am talking or yelling at her. hehehe
I've now ordered two moo moo's to wear. I needed something long when I go outside. If the wind would blow while in my other apparel, it would not be a pretty sight. And it's just too hot for all the lady stuff. A long skirt that flows will be cool and less likely to "moon" anyone. LOL My DIL helped me pick out which ones to order. If I like them I know of a couple more that I would like and wear other places as well. All are nice enough to wear in public. A lot of people down here in the summer wear them. So I shouldn't stand out too much. But then I don't really mind. Dressing for comfort is the key down here in the summer. Had I not gained so much weight the heat wouldn't affect me so much, it has not been this bad for me before the gain. I don't like to sweat. My new dresses will be here Monday. I sure do hope that they look nice on me. I've also worn out three capris between the thighs so I had to get a couple new pair. Geesh talk about spending money.  WM had the capris I wanted for only $10. I've got to get the weight off before I'm clothesless. LOL
Time for me veggie stick snack. I know I'll have to share with my big veggie eater too. hehehe
