Good morning all, there's coffee and watermelon and berries, help yourselves. I came back to our place last night-Dad was snoozing and my brother is going in today. Also, I had dog food in my car that was needed. **Just had a call from him, I could hear background noise, but no talking so I called the NH, he had a good night they said, so I'll wait to see if I am going back today or tomorrow. Apparently there is another gathering tomorrow at IL's, I doubt I'll be going.
Don't know what the Yeti told my ILs but MIL asked if I had a lot of people come in to the History Center?? That's fine, I didn't want to sit and talk about it with all of them at dinner. I'd gone to our house first and the Yeti asked me to come over for to the IL's for dinner. The meal was good, but frustrating too, MIL is still having neck issues that affect her balance, so I started to clean up the kitchen after supper. SIL, the one whose four kids' crap was laying everywhere, just sat, the whole time. Whatever, got that cleaned up, grabbed my dishes and left.
There were some odd sized dishes that just got washed and the washer was run and the dryer is going, since I didn't know if I'd still be here when things would be dry if I hung them out. I've got to go get stuff in the ground. I am a very slow learner as I have poison something again on my arms and hands. I know it happened when I dug this last group of stuff, either the lupines or the last things from the other house. Argh, anti-itch goo, here I come! There's a soap called Iva-rest that works well, but #1 had mine and left it at Ann's cabin. I'll just get some more if needed. It helps to wash dishes by hand, so that has happened. Todd is off to town for some parts for his parent's pontoon, it's leaking gas. FIL was interested in selling it to a cousin, glad he didn't if there is an issue, but MIL wants to keep it for the one or two weeks it gets used in the summer (seriously, that's all.). There's a 4th of July boat parade on their lake tomorrow, maybe they just won't be doing it. Anyways, I should go do this before the skeeters come out. Blessed be everyone, thanks for thinking of Dad, I appreciate it.

Good Morning....
We had a little more rain over night. Everything is totally saturated. The sun is trying to come out, which makes it even more humid out there. I did wipe off the swing and had my coffee out there. The breeze was blowing the tree limbs overhead and getting me all wet.
I prepped my potato salad last night and cut up what I need for my broccoli salad. I'll put the potato salad together in a bit. Only my mom and maybe DMIL will be here tomorrow. I'm not sure about DD & DSIL. They have been working so much lately that I think they will just want a "chill" day. We'll see. I guess Penny and Teddy are doing just fine up north with the other grandparents.
Lauriet...glad to hear your dad had a good night. Hope he continues to do well.
Have a great day everyone....

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a nice morning - should open up for awhile, but since I am sitting here in my nightgown, I guess I will pass. I want to hold off on my shower for a while yet, since I have my Dr. appointment today at 12:45. Time to go so I can get my scrips refilled. Otherwise, no plans for today or tomorrow. Laurie, good to hear your Dad had a good night - hope Judy's visit didn't stir the pot. Good to hear the other kids are taking a turn also. Darn that poison ivy or what ever. Some people seem to be more attractive for it to hit! My nephew would get it every time when he was in the service and they went out to the field. Hope it will be short lived. CJ, bet you are getting lonesome for the kids. Good to hear they are having a good time. I have been hungry for potato salad, but haven't any reason to make it and seems like a lot for just me. I'm sure your mom will enjoy coming to your home, and hope your DMIL will feel like coming as well.

A busy morning On the phone with dental insurance for a few claims. Had a hard time getting thru. I've been seeing the oral surgeon since January Till I get done with him it'll be around $2,500 YIKES The insurance isn't covering a lot of it.
Sun is peeping out. Tornado warnings close to home last night. Doing more dusting today If the sun stays out I'll wash a few rugs.

Good morning Hot and windy today, so what's new, right? Since the maintenace department isn't taking care of the dog area I did what little I could do. I took the rake and drug it around the area that we use. All it does is turn the sand over, but it needed to be done. I can't rake rake it so I just drug the rake. Now if they would come and sanitize and deodorize it less dogs would get sick. Too bad the managers here don't give a darn about upkeep and care. Well I did what I could do.
Just before Mandy and I left for her duty, I started a load of laundry. Most is in the dryer and some things are on the lines here at home. It won't take but an hour or so for the stuff outside to dry with the wind and heat. My hummer won't be happy that "HIS" lines are full. hehehe
Yesterday I started on the Sweating In the Oldies DVD. I can't keep up with the youngsters but at least I'm moving and not sitting. And I like the music. I may get sick of the DVD at some point in time, but I can order another if I feel the need. It was actually fun. Mandy thought I was nuts though. LOL
Time to switch from outdoor clothes to my "house dress". Too hot to have all the Lady garb on.

Goodmorning grannies it's another wet one as we had heave rain in the evening and night. I'd love to send some to the ones in need of it we have too much of a good thing!
Laurie your day is always filled, Good idea to skip some things and have some time for yourself. Why is there usually someone who sits while others do the clean up work? They enjoy the meal but not the work! Must be a bit scary to get a call from your dad like that one. Hope he has a good day. Oh those itchy things that are out there! Hope you get rid of yours quickly
CJ sounds like you have things under control for the moms visit. Always good to have family around when we can.
Ellie, I don't mind you asking about my meds. I take Eliquis twice a day and Plavix once. That plus my age might explain why I'm always cold!
Greenbacjk would potato salad be something you could share with your neighbor? Satisfy your taste buds with something good and be a good neighbor too.
IC wow that's a lot of $$. Glad the bad weather didn't come near you.
Mamma too bad the doggie area isn't better maintained. You did a good service by cleaning as well as you could. I agree about the ladies apparel! Yesterday was Soraya's birthday she has a party/sleepover with some friends soon so it was just the family last nitght for dinner. We had ice cream cookie sandwiches for dessert. Yummy. Each person was asked to say something nice about Soraya till we had 15! Fun time was after that the memories about her as she grew up. Fun time!
Just another rainy day with rehab this afternoon and it just started a heavy shower! We don't need this much!

Good morning, a cloudy and sunny a.m. so far. Rain is to come this afternoon. We had some rain late afternoon, in the early evening and throughout the night. Yay! I won't need to water my flowers. I got groceries last night. I guess DD and DSIL will be here tomorrow. We'll have T-bone on the grill, baked potatoes, spinach salad and pretzel salad. Maybe a few other goodies in there too.
LAURIE I hope the PI or whatever it is will soon heal.
CJ My kids need "chill days" too. I can remember that feeling when I worked. I knew your DGC would be content with their other DGP's. They're such good kids.
GREENBACK I hope the Dr. visit is a good one! no bad report or findings! Be careful out there.
ICOOK Oh how I hate those calls to insurance etc. And yes, that's a lot of out of the pocket money. But when you need it, there's not much choice.
MAMMA Love you hummer "territory." LOL I actually saw both of mine this a.m.
DD has the day off so we're going to do a little shopping together this afternoon. I don't think I'll be out long.

Got the rugs washed. They are hanging outside over the railing. No hanging clothes outside here. Still have dusting to do, but that will take me a few days.
Elle I have two dental insurance policies so I'm hoping the second one will pick up part of the cost. Insurance I called said 50% of the cost for the denture will be paid by them. I googled dentures & it worries me. Chance of infections & pain in the gums. I have to be careful because of my heart. I'll have a talk with my regular dentist & the oral surgeon.

Smart to call your Dr. about infection etc. I always have to take an antibiotic on hour before my dental appointment. The sun is shining nice here but it's humid.

Hi again, it's hot out! I've a few more things to put in and that's it. Just need to keep up with watering them. Todd had to go back to his folks', not sure what time he'll be back, I just took a break, one more time out there and I should be completely planted. Until I get the urge to dig something else ~Uh oh! My knee is not too bad now and don't want to make it worse.
I should clarify, last night I cleaned up the kitchen, not the kids' stuff. If they can't pick it up, not my problem. I was surprised though when they said they couldn't go to the water w/o an adult down there, finally!

Yes, IC, keep an eye on and talk to your regular Dr. about the infection. I had to take those pills too, Ellie, before my dental appts. for a few years after I got the dentures and had my hip done. I'm past that stage now. My appt. went very well - My labs were good and had improved from last year, so she was happy, and that in turn made me happy.. She sent me to XRay to get a handle on my shoulder that is bothering and will give me a shot of cortisone after she reads them and see's what is going on. Happy to be back home again where it's cool - - It was really warm! Mamma, it didn't take me long to get into my shorts and cool top and bra off. I don't wear it everywhere but thought I should here - those silicone ones are hot and heavy. Nice of you to do what you could in the dog park. Grammy, what a nice time for the family to enjoy the birthday dinner and blessings. I can't share with my neighbors now, but maybe later - they left yesterday to go to their other condo on a lake in Wi. They will be gone until next week, and are hosting a family reunion on her side of the family while they are there. It's a shame that we can't gather the rain and take from those that have to much and give to those needing it so badly. Ellie. nice menu at your house for the holiday. I thought I had a small steak in the freezer and looked one day and didn't see it. I need to check again as I still think there should be one. enjoy the company too.

What I thought was going to be another long boring day was just the opposite. My BFF Dawn, from Hutch, and I worked on our crafting via FaceTime. And as usual we ended up buying more things that we just had to have that the other had. LOL We both did get some cards made and lots of gabbing. I miss her but am so happy that we can get together via the internet. We do this pretty often. It makes my day go so much faster and more enjoyable. The people in the office are going to think I was bored with all the stuff coming from Amazon. LOL It’s not really a lot and didn’t even total $50. I’m frugal and look for the best price. I lost so much craft stuff in the fire and so many times I go to a drawer thinking it is still there and it’s not. Most stuff I can’t even buy or find anymore. I’ll never have all that I lost. At my age I don’t need to replace it all anymore either. Just enough to make my crafting more fun and enjoyable.
Before the price of stamps goes up I need to get some more. I don’t mail much but stamps are high enough in price. I’ve only got about 7 left. I’m thinking a roll of forever stamps. That should last me the rest of my life. Hehehe
Home made chow mien for supper tonight. I have 6 meals in the freezer so I took one out. Too hot for a hot meal, but I didn’t know what else to make and I really didn’t feel like cooking…….again. No fun at all cooking for one.
Wednesday morning I’ll be running errands, stamps, and Miracle whip for sure. And iron the three items on the chair by the craft table.
A blessed evening to all.
