Good Morning....
It's officially JUNE. Half the year is over. Can you believe how fast it's gone?
Debbie...prayers continuing for your mom and your family. I'm so sorry for all that has happened so fast.
Yesterday was a fun day for DH & I. We decided to go to Port Huron...the city on the St Clair River, across from Canada. We know a beach there that is good for rock hunting. DH loves doing that...so off we went. First we sat along the river and watched 3 freighters come up and down the river. Always exciting to see those. Then we had lunch along side the river (no ships came through while eating). Then headed to the beach. We stopped at Walmart and got a sun/shade tent thing and a big utility wagon for carrying all our stuff. Enjoyed the water and brought home many rocks. We were very tired when we got home. Left home around 8 am and got back around 8 pm.
My phone isn't keeping a charge anymore and it's old, so I'm heading to the phone store to see what I can get. I know I'll be there a long time as I have a lot on my phone to be transferred. And then the joys of learning a new one.
Wishing everyone a great day........

Hi all, it's a pretty day out, it's to get to 87*. I have my appt and then a care meeting for Dad and my brother will be going with me. I just watered the plants again and found more yellow lady slippers in a different part of the yard. Best get ready to go, help yourselves to coffee. Blessed be.

Going to be very warm here the next two days. 87* today & 90* tomorrow. Hope I don't have to turn the AC on already. Christina comes today. Floors have to be done today. A portable screen to put on the back door to my porch to keep the bugs out when I have the door open. Tinker likes to lay on the back porch. She can't escape from there. I have a portable screen on the front door with a gate so she won't escape.

Goodmorning grannies, it's another bright sunshiney morning with blue sky, big puffy white clouds, little wind and temp heading for near 90 again. No rain in sight for the next several days. Now I'm saying we sure could use some rain things are getting dry. Hope this isn't a long dry summer.
CJ half the year isn't over till the end of June. I want that extra month of warm sunshine and don't rush with the cold winter days. What a nice day trip you had sounds like the perfect day for some get away time to just enjoy the day. Dh and I used to go to the nearby state park with food packed or bought along the way. We could sit at a picnic table and enjoy the view of the lake the lake. Memories are all that is left now and most of them are good ones. Make them while you can and love and appreciate your dh.
Laurie I just watered my plants too! I have given up most of the work on the flower beds. The plants I water are just outside my door.DGD has really put a lot of things there to brighten my view. Love the Lady Slipper and haven't seen one since hiking several yeaars ago!
IC sounds like a very warm day for you also. That screen will be nice to allow some fresh air in and the fur ball in and out!
Nothing much in my plan for the day except to wash the sliding doors. They are to the E so I'll leave that job for later when the sun moves on then I can work in the shade.

Good morning, it's sunny and warm here to. I thought I felt a bit of humidity when I opened the back door this morning. I've watered the birds and put fresh food out for the hummers. I still have just a pair...so I'm hoping there has been some nesting and babies will come too. I only saw the oriole for 2 days and nothing after that. I want to go to the bank today and then stop at Meijer's to get what Aldi's didn't have earlier this week. I'm going to make a coconut cake this weekend and share it with DD and DS. Saturday is my baby girl's 53rd birthday. Really? how can that be? LOL I do have a list of things I want to get done today, or at least this weekend. We'll see how much I actually do.
CJ Your little excursion with DH sounds so relaxing and refreshing. Grammy is right, enjoy your time with each other and the experiences along the way. Wonderful memories!
LAURIE Thanks for the coffee.
ICOOK Send Christina my way, floors are on my "to do" list. LOL Tinker is soaking all the warmth and sunshine. Sounds good to me too!
GRAMMY I cleaned the storm door windows last week but the other windows sure could use some scrubbing. The sunshine shows every streak and dirt. LOL I don't think I'm familiar with the Lady Slipper flower. I'll have to google it. I've cut back on my flowers, don't have the energy or strength to do what they need. LOL
I need to see what I'm going to do next. ttyl

Good morning Since it has been about 5 months since I checked the battery fluid I thought I had better get that done. The last time my kind neighbor, Mike, showed me what to do and helped. It was a nice cool morning today, so I took advantage of it and got some outside things done. Well it was a good thing I checked them this morning. I added just over half a gallon of water to the 6 batteries. I have to take extra good care of them because they are used batteries and Mark said at one time we may only get another year out of them. I really don't have the $800+ for new ones right now. Yesterday the batteries lost charge very quickly, from 3 to 5, five being you had better get it plugged in NOW or walk shortly. That is kind of telling me that the batteries are getting weaker. While under the seat I also checked the cables, connections and wires. Remembering what I saw last time I was under there with Mark, everything looked good or the same.
In the summer I'm quite dependent on the golf cart for getting Mandy to the only shaded area to do her business. The asphalt would burn her feet to get there if we had to walk. The car can't go under the solar like the golf cart can without blowing a tire or ruining a rim. I don't need that. Under the solar is the only shaded place in the park during the day. This morning it was so nice that Mandy and I walked to the dog area. We both need the walk. We also enjoyed a cool evening walk last night. The cart was plugged in to charge so we had no choice but to walk. I hope we can go for a walk again tonight.
Now that the golf cart is charged and ready for use, I can switch the car and cart around. Right now the car is parked behind the gold cart. To charge the cart it has to be in front since that is closer to the outlet. Usually I get 3 weeks on one charge. Mandy and I don’t go for rides like when Mark was alive. We always went for a ride after supper, I don’t do that anymore. Oh once in awhile Mandy and I will drive around a few blocks up here in the front of the park. Mark would go all over the park Mandy enjoyed it as did I. It’s no fun anymore.
Sorry, I didn't mean to write a book.
Cj, what a great way to spend the day. So glad you enjoyed it and the weather was so nice. Best of luck finding just the right phone.
Laurie, I do hope all goes well at the care meeting for your dad. So nice that your brother is going along. Do you have the pink lady slippers by you too?
Grammy, so often when rain is needed it is nowhere in sight. hehehe I would love to have a good old fashioned thunder shower down here. I love the sounds.
Elle, The birds will love all the food you provide them. I should try putting out the hummingbird feeder again. Maybe they will return.

Good Morning Ladies - - - I was here and then lost my post, got it back and then couldn't get it to move at all, so just cleared out and am starting over. Most of the morning is gone now. I did sleep better last night after I got to sleep that is. I was really tired after PT, I didn't feel I did as good as most times, but she said you are just tired. MY legs do feel better today, now just my back and should hurting, and the legs when I walk. They were doing some building repair when I got there, and the parking lots fuller than usual, so I had to park at the far end, so had a good hike before I got there. When I was done, I sat in the lobby for a bit to rest before I started to the car, and after I was part way there, a very nice gentleman came and asked if he could help and gave me an arm. I so appreciated that, as I was feeling kind of worbbly by then. I was so thankful that he would take the time and effort to make my way a little better. Was really tired for the rest of the evening and was glad I had the tuna salad ready for a sandwich, as I really didn't feel like cooking supper. CJ, what a nice day for you and Mark - - and how nice that you can now wait and do it on a day when everyone else isn't busy going the same place. Glad you found some treasures to bring home. Laurie, hoping the Dr. appt. and care review both go well for you! How is the breaking out coming? Hopefully he can give you something for that. IC, do those screens work good? I have looked at them for the door into my garage/house door when I wouldn't have open often, but would like to at times. Grammy, you are so right in encouraging IC (and the rest) to make those memories and they are so nice to hang on to, when the good times together are no longer happening. I found that the first few years, I remembered more current memories, but as the years go on, I often think about those long ago times. Nice you have those flowers so close for your enjoyment. Ellie, coconut cake will be a wonderful BD cake - - Happy Birthday to the BD girl! Mamma, you have had a busy time getting the GC going for you -- Makes for a shorter trip for both of you, although the walk is good too! I don't have any idea of how far you are talking about. Debbie, I hope that a NH can be found that will meet with the needs of your Mom and is one that you and the rest of the family are comfortable with. It's so hard to accept these things and hard to know where you need to be - - everyone seems to need you at the same time.

Christina left half hour ago. Everything got done Floors are nice & clean. Bathroom too. Paid my rent at the office & got to the bank. Don't know if I'll do the load of laundry today or tomorrow.
Jane The screens are a good thing for me because of Tinker. Before summer is over they will be worn out. Have to get new ones every year. My walker gets caught on them & tears them. Christina patches them for me.
