Just lost my post. Good thing it was a short one. Sun is shining. Got up around 9 this morning. Doing a load of laundry today. That's it for today. Hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day.

Starting out warm and will get warmer as the day moves on. Such is Yuma.
Not the best sleep last night and got up too early again. It seems that 6:30 is my new normal.  That early just makes the day longer and I don't need longer days to fill.
It looks like the neighbors across the street may be leaving for good. The previous owner bought the place back. When Sharon get here I'll be checking to see what's up and welcome her back with a big hug. We need good neighbors in this lousy neighborhood. Too bad a person can't pick and choose their neighbors. I choose Sharon. 
Yesterday I picked up some chair cushions but am taking them back. They make me sit too high at the table. The table could be an inch or two higher but it is what it is. I still am happy with my purchase. I also need to make a stop at the UPS to send back an Amazon order. The afternoon tasks remain unknown. As always there are things to do, I just don't feel like doing anything lately.
My tummy is craving chow mein, so I'll be making MJ's recipe. That is the best I've ever made. It makes enough for a family of 6 so I'll have more meals in the freezer too. I can taste it already.  |

Good morning, ICOOK and those to come. It's a very beautiful sunny morning! It's in the low 60's now but will be in the mid 70's later. I saw/heard from all the kids yesterday and had a good day. Today I need to get groceries, pick up a prescription and fill the bird feeders. I now have a pair of hummingbirds. The female was here last night. I haven't seen either of them or the Oriole so far today. I hope to get some sun/deck time in this afternoon.
ICOOK It's frustrating to lose a post. It seems one loses them after posting a long one that's nearly finished and zoom, there it goes. :-( Will you and Tinker be on the porch today soaking in some sun?
MAMMA I hope you get Sharon back as a neighbor! Good neighbors are so helpful. I understand about long days!

Very nice here. A little overcast.I have had breakfast of salad and sweet potato. Also did laundry. I am going to the store tomorrow. Actually making a list. I tried to not have anything that would spoil while I was gone. But, didn't go. I wrote the airlines but don't know how that will go. I know it wasn't their fault but can always ask. I hope everyone is feeling good. BBL |

Good Afternoon.....
It's a very nice day. Started out cool but warming up now.
Went plant shopping with DD. She got a lot, I only got a couple. Their prices are a bit high for me. I know another place where I can go one day this week. I'll wait a bit to let them restock after the busy weekend.
I heard from both DS's and we visited both our moms. It was a good day.
I might mow the back yard later. Those dandylions sure do take over. DH won't use weed killer on the backyard. So I'm continually mowing them down.
We've been to the grocery so now I think a little swing time is in order. Have a great day.

Good Morning Ladies - - - Morning is going fast, but then I didn't get up early either. I have a load in the dryer and I took some garbage out to the garage - dumped the wastebasket - so now I can make more now. Never seem to take long to fill up again! Nothing panned much from here - I have my exercises to do, the clothes in the dryer to take care of, and I would like to make another pan of the baked oatmeal - - Will see how the day go's.
IC, I feel your frustration of loosing the post - it seems to happen more times that I like.
Mamma, hope you find the cushions that you like - I got my last ones at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I wouldn't order anything now, and don't have a store close enough to check out, but I really like them and will miss that store. I didn't get a lot there, but every now and then would find something I wanted. Hope you get your neighbor back again. It's so nice to have great ones!
Ellie, sounds like a good Mothers Day for you - This week will fly for you - - What color is your dress and then those of the bridesmaids? It will be a wonderful day for you.
Carolyn, hope it does work out with the airline to get your money back. Hope your list doesn't get to long.
CJ, it sounds like it was a wonderful day for you also. Nice o hear from those far away. I have deceided to stay away from the flower places - - They all look so nice now and colorful, and then after I've had them awhile, I don't want to take care of them any longer - From all I have talked to, they are getting to be pricey, so I feel they need better care than I would give them.

My running is done for the day and I even had a little breakfast to hold me until lunch. UPS and WM weren't very busy since I was there so early and not much for traffic either. Most places don't open until 10.
Jane, I decided not to get cushions for the chairs. They make my chair too high for the table. The table is a little too short IMO. It is what it is. No baking here anymore, it's too hot now to use the oven. Maybe we will have a morning that is cool enough to bake some muffins or cupcakes.
Elle, I've not had one hummer at my feeders, But I see them all over. I may need to make a new batch of sugar water. It seems they don't want what is in there now.
CJ, lots of plants sold yesterday I'm sure. Good idea to wait for the next supply to come. Enjoy your swing time. I have to settle for artificial flowers for the outside down here. But so far I've not gotten any. Maybe later this week.
Now that my to do list is done, what shall I do now? Maybe a nap.

Another day another Dr appointment! I think this was the last one for a few months, everything is working as it should.
Yesterday was a nice dayChef's parents were here they brought roses and candy for the three mom's here! How nice they include me at those special times. I have 1 doz roses on my table.
Carolyn I do hope you get a refund for the ticket you couldn't use.
CJ nice day for swinging! A little cool here for me. Oc course, I'm always cold I think it's the meds I take. If it's 90 degrees and you see a white haired woman with a sweat shirt be sure to say Hi Grammy!
Mamma chairs are never the right height for me too low or too high! Maybe you can make some thin pretty ones for those chairs. Glad you are getting a good neighbor again.
Greenback the flowers are pretty but they sure do take some work to keep them looking that way. I did get a beautiful hanging pot or geraniums from #2 but they won't stay that was for very long.
IC don't you just hate it when the post disappears and you can't get it back!!
Elle what an exciting week you have before you. Is this the first Grand... to get married? Details we want to hear it all!

Didn't get the load of laundry done yet, but the day isn't over.
Elle Tinker & I were outside this morning. It was a little chilly for me so I tied Tinker to the glider for awhile. I'm sure we'll be sitting out yet some time today. I have to watch Tinker closely. A black man last summer was on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. He saw me & ran down the embankment to the sidewalk at the street. I read an article that said people are stealing dogs. I think that was his intention.
Grammy I have four Drs. appts. next month so I know how you feel. Think I will have a dentist appt. too That will make five.
Jane I have a lot of garbage to for one person.

Home again, home again, jiddidty jig! I've been through the shower and need to go get the laundry off of the line too. I was in 1st grade today, am on hold for tomorrow and then Kindergarten Thursday and Friday. I keep thinking of things that I need to get to, it'll happen soon. At lunch today I called Dad, he sounded better than for a bit and was in bed when I got there the other day. #2 is on the phone on speaker w/ the Yeti, sure is nice to hear him. In a bit I'll see what sounds good for supper, we have left overs from yesterday, so it'll be a reheat kind of thing. BBL.

CAROLYN You're definitely determined with your diet. I am a egg, cereal, etc. breakfast person and it doesn't vary often. LOL
CJ The hanging plants at the nursery I bought mine from went up in price also. Dandelions are beautiful flowers, a healthy food.... but not my favorite either. LOL
GREENBACK My dress for the wedding is sage green. They're both photographers so they have ask family members to wear earthtone colors. Not mandatory, but appreciated they said. ?? LOL I don't know what colors the wedding party is wearing. It seems I always have garbage to take out. How can one person have so much trash??
MAMMA I don't think my hummers are as active as they were in previous. I have a pair and that's all I've seen. I hope more will come although 4-5 is the normal for me. I haven't seen them or the oriole at all today. Tomorrow I'll put fresh food out for them.
GRAMMY Are the roses beautiful and the thought behind them even more so!! I did get a single rose, I love it! This is actually my 2nd DGC to get married but the first one ended in divorce. He's my oldest DGS.
ICOOK I know you keep a close eye on Tinker!!! Good for you. And you got the benefit of the outside, sunshine and a swing!
I pulled a few weeds, sprayed weeds, got groceries, picked up prescription, made brocolli salad, pasta salad, and a few other things. My flowers need watering but that will most likely wait until tomorrow.
LAURIE I'm glad your dad is somewhat better. Isn't it good to "hear" the kids!! even on speaker phone.

YAY...I have my first hummer at the feeder today. And the mommy duck is back to eat the birdseed on the ground. Haven't seen the male in a couple days. She's been coming alone. I wonder if the male will sit on the nest while the female is out and about?
