Good Morning....
Starting out sunny but I don't think it will last long.
The kids will be here in a little while. We should get lots of outside play time in. I have a bike for Penny...so I'm hoping she will ride it. It has training wheels and that can be a bit scary thinking you are going to tip over. We'll see how it goes.
Yesterday we got a lot of bags of mulch to spread. So that will be one job for the weekend. Tomorrow evening is a pot luck dinner at church for the 75th anniversary. One of our old Pastor's will be there. Greenback...I'm taking your Cucumber Pasta salad. One of my favorites.

Good morning. Nice morning but a very warm afternoon. It's the time of year to get inside things done. Around here anyway. Winter here is more outside time than summer.
I contacted Amazon and am sending the electric grill back. It doesn’t get hot enough to grill properly. I even purchased some ceramic briquets to help. But nope, that didn’t help at all. Luckily I found a big enough box to send the disassembled grill back. UPS is going to pick it up here so I don’t have to try and lift it in and out of my car or down the stairs. The Amazon associate was very helpful. The grill is now in a box, labeled and ready to go back. And the briquets are also going back. No sense keeping them when I no longer need them. Guess I won’t grill anymore. I give up on finding a good electric grill. I’m sure they are all the same. A George Foreman is too much of a pain to clean. Really the only good grills are gas and charcoal. That is where the food tastes the best.
Today some dusting, and maybe sweep the porch this morning. That is pretty much all I have planned for the day as far as work goes. 
What's for supper or lunch? I used to plan ahead a bit more than I do now. Now I go by if I want to putz or not. hehehe

Big news; I didn't go to Florida.
My 2 girls from SC and 2 great grandchildren came on tues night. They surprised us. So, I had all of my children
together plus some grands also.
We had a dinner at my sons. Spaghetti, salad, pizza, bread sticks
Ice cream, watermelon, baked beans.
It was wonderful.
I have been having arthritis flare ups so I made
the decision to stay home. Of course I lost the
money for my plane ticket.
I had gone to the bank and got 500.00 out for
spending money in FL. Well my ac went out
and it
Cost 554.00 to repair. I am glad I had the money to
pay it.
But I just decided the walking and doing things
in Florida was not right for now.
My new great grandson is 6 weeks old today,
He was the life of the party.
Hope everyone is doing well. I am going to
make myself a salad for breakfast.

PS. Another grandson is coming today fro SC. He
Is my ninja. Had a Martial arts school. He is in tv
And travels to Hawaii , Japan, etc, one of his
Fighters is Sara McMann
She is pretty well known

Good Morning Ladies - - - I see we had some rain overnight - not sure how much but I can see it on the deck. It smells fresh out. Yesterday, I got the summer sheets on the bed and slept pretty good last night. It was time for sure to get the flannels off! I took a blanket off for the summer also. It was later when I got it finished as I forgot I had a new bottom sheet to use, and had to wash and dry that first, and I hadn't gotten them out until afternoon.
CJ, that salad has become a favorite of a lot of people, and a good one to take to pot lucks, without the mayo, you can feel better about it sitting out. I don't make it often, as it is a big salad, so it's a company thing here - - My son really likes it too. Hope Penny likes the bike. Dawson was riding his while I was out there, but his control isn't the greatest yet. His turn can get to be pretty wide.
Mamma, glad the grill can go back - - Lucky they would take it, once it was used, but then how else would you know it isn't working to your liking? I understand about how much you want to putz in meal prep. That is why I like to make something that will last a few meals, but I don't mind eating the same thing more than once at a time. It just seems like a waste of time to spend all this time getting a meal ready then eating it in 5 minutes and have the mess to clean up. Do it once and then reheat works for me.

Tried twice to edit my last post to include Carolyn, but would let me get the print large enough to read - - Anyway, what a nice surprise to have your family come and visit. Especially nice to have that new little one to love on. How nice to have all of your kids together. Sometimes we just have to do what the body tells us we can do, like it or not. Glad you were able to get the AC going again. Never know how soon it will be needed.

Hi all! I am home today and loving it! The stuff for potato salad is cooling in the fridge and I made a sheet pan of sugar cookie bars and one is in the oven of chocolate chip bars, I prefer those with two kinds of chips~~milk chocolate and white chips it is. The next thing to go in the oven is a batch of butter pecan mini cupcakes, they will get cream cheese frosting and toasted coconut on them. The sugar cookie bars will get frosted too and have sprinkles. I never did hear what SIL is bringing on Sunday, so I am making these and will take Al a goodie box when I go there and some to Dad too. The male pupper will go to his new home tomorrow and the female at the end of the week. Everyone got a dose of Rx today, #2's dog is a diva and doesn't like the liquid so she got a PB sandwich w/ the Rx in it. Gross, but she loved it.
Rumor has it we are to go to dinner with the ILs tonight for their anniversary, just us, not the whole crew, wonder what that's about? No idea why he wants to go to the one option I heard, it's a pretty long drive for them and very loud, MIL will have a heck of a time with her hearing aids. Also, it is fishing opener this weekend, so it'll be crazy busy. What do I know???The Yeti said he is driving the medical van today-he's been on the road daily with one or the other of his parents lately. Today is a skin cancer follow up for his Dad, yesterday was neck dr for his mom. Thought I'd posted this, everything is out of the oven and cooling on the counter. Can't frost for a while, so I'll get some other stuff done. Somethings will get done and some won't. I best get off my butt or nothing will get done. I am sooooooo enjoying my day at home!

Another beautiful day here. Temp. was 85 last time I checked. Might get a few showers tomorrow. Lazy day for me. Tomorrow starts the weekend, so cleaning it will be.
Carolyn Nice that you had your whole family together. Not good that you lost the price of your ticket. I don't have to worry about any appliances where I live. They are all provided, so if anything breaks it's not my problem. I had a salad for lunch. Some of Meals On Wheels is good some not so much. Salads I do like.
Jane I still have flannel sheets on my bed. I'll be changing them soon to cotton ones when Christina is here one day. Flipping the mattress & putting a new mattress cover on my bed too.
Mamma Tomorrow is my dusting day.

It's been a busy day for me. A trip to Mejier's and rehab this afternoon. I picked up a perscription and did some other shopping at Meijer. It' was a long morning since dd had some things to do and she was the driver. We were home about and hour and it was time to go to rehab now I'm home for the day.
This has been my crabby day and now I'm considering cancelling the Driver Evaluation it will be 2 months that I haven't even sat in the drivers seat. Now I'm questioning my own ability to drive! There were only a few places I went and all nearby I had no problem getting there and back home. It has not been a pleasant day. I had a head on collision with dd this morning then she brought in another Mother's Day gift for me it's a lovely picture to be hung outdoors with this on it " Keep looking toward the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind" some pretty flowers on it too. She even hung it by my patio. Now I really feel like a rotten mom. A little prayer for this situation would be appreciated. I wan't to go when I want to and come home when I'm ready.

Carolyn-contact the airlines and ask about your ticket. Explain you didn't travel for health reasons, you may be able to just change the date for a small fee. It'd be better than losing the whole thing

It's been a mostly cloudy day but a few peeks at the sunshine. It's drizzled a little but didn't even completely wet the sidewalk or driveway. It's in the upper 70's so a comfortable day. I had to return the capri's I bought yesterday at Kohl's. They were way too big! They didn't have any in stock of what I wanted so I ordered online. They should be here in a week but hopefully I'll get what I want. I got the cleaning done today so tomorrow I'll just need to do laundry and maybe a little cleaning. I might make another batch of cookies for the wedding too.
GRAMMY Here's a hug with love! I will pray for you. The gift from DD sounds beautiful and with a lot of love and feeling. I feel like you do, I want to come and go when I want to.
I do have a male hummingbird. I saw him last night and again a couple of times today. I'm hoping there's more. AND, the Oriole came!! He drinks the hummingbird food. I do have a feeder for him but he either hasn't found it?? or just like the hummingbird's food.
