GLOSSY CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
1 cup sugar
3 Tabl. cornstarch
2 1oz squares unsweetened chocolate - grated or chopped
dash of salt
1 cup boiling water
3 TABL. Butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and chocolate. Add boiling water and cook until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Spread on cake while still hot for a glossy frosting.
This is also good on ice cream.
