Out and back and finishing my cup of coffee and cookie. Off to the dentist again in hopes of him fixing the inward pointing crown. The only other thing planned is to wash out and reorganize the medicine cabinet, oh, and fridge. The fridge is always a mess and the medicine cabinet just needs to be washed off.
A happy Monday to all.

Good Morning....
A cooler front moved through late, yesterday, afternoon. By evening it was feeling so nice. We turned the a/c off and opened the windows. It was very pleasant sleeping with lows in the upper 50's. Today is nice so far, but tomorrow the hot and humid return. It's nice having the windows open.
Mamma...the place we went for breakfast yesterday had huge coffee mugs....so I got my fill. I didn't get decaf, which I should have. I was flying high for most the day...LOL And I could not fall asleep. Hope you get your dental issue fixed.
I got the photo album done for DMIL. That took all afternoon. But since it was hot and humid out there, I was happy to work inside. We'll take it to her today when we go see her.
I think part of my problem not being able to fall asleep last night was all the work getting the album together plus the coffee...LOL I felt kind of stressed in the evening.
It's a cool 69* right now and only going to upper 70's. Should be a nice day.
Have a great day everyone....

ICOOK I haven't' turned my a/c off but I raise the temp, so it doesn't kick in. It will be on this afternoon though.
CJ Good for you putting the calendar together. You're MIL will spend a lot of time looking at the pictures and reliving a lot of memories. I stop caffein in the a.m. I causes anxiety in me if I drink or eat it later.
MAMMA Good luck at the dentist. You've waited a long time so I hope this will finally solve the issue.
I went out for breakfast with a former co-worker. DH and I vacationed with her and her DH many times. Great friends!
Time to get something done and I'm not sure where to start. TTYL

Goodmorning grannies, another sunshiey day with lots of blue skies and a few puffy clouds up there. Temp is 78 and going to the 90s again today. I don't mind I might stay warm if I keep the sweater on.
Mamma hope the dentist can help with the teeth out of alignment! I had that happen with a filling and it shook my eyeballs!
IC nice of Christina to call and tell you she would be there today.
CJ MIL should enjoy the photo album and it will take her to days in the past! Sounds like a good breakfast to start your day. Nice to have a big cup of coffee
The little goat still follows Cassandra around like she is the mamma! Tje goat really likes to play on the skate board. Jumping on an off and playing with it
Time to get some sun shine before it gets too hot in the sun

I have been mia. But I am here at home. Had a good weekend. Went to my cousins On Saturday. We went to try get together. Had pizza, chicken cheesecake. Along with all I took which was peach cobbler, pound cake and a orange, pineapple dessert. Then that evening we went to Dublins Crossing. A restaurant where I had never been, it was good and I had codfish. Yesterday my cousins daughter volunteered to take us to see another cousin in the hospital. Then we went to lunch and to Another hospital to see my sister. I didn't do if I could do all that walking but I made it. Today I am sore all over. Neither of us drive in Knoxville where we had to go. Traffic is horrendous !! Today I am resting. Tomorrow is lunch with senior citizens. I Think I will make some peanut butter fudge To take to that. I don't like to go anywhere empty-handed Hope all of you are well. I was gifted a loaf of homemade bread Along with the recipe and some starter. Will have to get some bread flour. And an extra loaf pan. I did get my water leak fixed. Yay and I am. That made me happy Our lunch was delicious, we ate at First Watch. Had lemon, blueberry, cornbread. I need that recipe

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a nice morning at 76 and mostly cloudy - - I'm sure the afternoon will be much more uncomfortable, but I have spent almost no time outside in hte last week. I have been busy messaging back and forth with Daren & Jen - they have been sending me pictures of the flooding in their area. First off, they are safe and away from the raging waters, however, they are not able to get much of anywhere they need to be. Jen's work and Dawson's daycare are closed. Daren is working from home. The road to get to them, and washed away in places and is just gone - - - It will be a long time before it is drivable. There is a lake across the street from the school and there are a couple of homes that have washed away. They have a neighbors dog, because they couldn't get home and are stuck in a hotel about 5 miles from home, so asked the kids to go get the dog. A big railroad bridge has collapsed in half. The pictures are amazing and so very sad. Mamma, good luck with your dental appointment. I'm sure you are more than ready to just be done with all of this work. What a nice gift for your MIL, CJ! Is she in the new place now? I do hope the adjustment period goes well. IC, glad that it was just an over sleep with Christina and not sick again. Well, I better get busy and get my shower so I can do something - It's so easy to sucked into looking at the pictures and all on here this morning. My cell phone isn't working, as it doesn't seem to want to take a charge, so will have to go to US Cell sometime today and see what's up. Maybe I did something without knowing it, but thinking it may have just died!

Home safe and sound. Not much traffic there or back home. The reason my teeth were not aligned correctly was because the swelling went down. All is good now. And God willing I won't see him again until mid September. At which time I hope that Karen will be able to take me. Snowbirds will be filtering in and I don't want to deal with that mess.
As of right now the only day of the week that I don't have something in the morning is Friday. And I really hope it stays that way. I like being a hermit so I am looking forward to Friday where I don't have to do anything or go anywhere.
Jane, that really sounds terrible for Jen and Darren. So many places dealing with terrible weather, be it flooding, heat or humidity. The humidity by our standards is here already and the heat is day and night now too. Next month the electric bill will not be nice to me. But I do hope that the new heat-pump will be my saving grace and not be as bad as I think it will. I know it's doing a better job than my old one.
Lunch is done so now to tackle the dishes and the medicine cabinet.

Greenback...oh my...that is so scary. I'm so glad they are safe but the destruction sounds horrible and will take a long time to get back to normal. Prayers for them and everyone around there.
Mamma...glad everything is good now.
DMIL liked the photo album but kept asking me who people were and other questions even though I have everything written under the pics of what or who it is. She couldn't believe I gave it to her.
She isn't in her new place yet. Who knows how long that will be with all the paperwork and such. She also needs an evaluation and some other tests before anything can be done. She has forgotten all about what her sons talked to her about. So she really doesn't know she will be moving and that makes me sad to think they will just take her there and leave her. Not being mean, but she just can't comprehend what will be taking place...no matter how many times they try to prepare her.
I've been so frustrated trying to find a new primary care doctor. Mine retired last fall and now the whole office with all the doctors has dissipated. I was sent a letter recently with the doctors names and where their new offices will be. Everyone that I called said they are not accepting new patients. I even tried to find one closer to me affiliated with another hospital and got the same results. Geez...what's a person suppose to do? I have scripts that need to be refilled soon. Finally the last one I called will take new people. DH goes to him but I wasn't sure I wanted to go there. Anyway...since that's the only one available, I took it. So so frustrating!!

CJ, my heart breaks hearing about your DMIL. That is so hard on everyone. (((BIG HUGS))) I am with you on finding a new doctor. Down here the good ones leave quickly and leave us with not so great and they are over loaded. Many down here are not taking new patients either. I guess we are just not suppose to have medical help anymore. It's the same way all over, from what I am hearing. So very sad. Best of luck to you in finding the perfect or at least an almost perfect fit, caring doctor.
Ok, NOW, I need to get busy.

Good afternoon to all. It is a HOT and humid day here. It's 98 right now, but feels even hotter. That's why Mike and I both got up early and got several things done, then came in for a late lunch and have never gone back out since--well, I did hang a load of clothes on the line and took the trash across the road to the bin we share with the neighbors since tomorrow is trash day. I need to burn the burning trash, but decided to wait until it is a bit cooler this evening.
I had my walk in by 7:00 and then watered all my flowers and pulled weeds in the flower beds. We had a quick breakfast and then this grannie learned a new skill. Mike had me get in the Bobcat that had the bale spike attached and I moved hay bales out of the field and lined them up in batches of 17 which is what DSIL can haul on his big trailer. These are big, 500+ pound bales of hay and I was a bit apprehensive, to say the least! But, I managed to get it done and was rather proud of myself! Biggest trouble I had was when I had stabbed the bale and then lifted it up and tilted it back, it was about eye level with me and I couldn't see where I was going without a lot of craning my neck! My rows aren't as neat as Mike's (he had another bale spike and was using the tractor), but, hey, it was my first time! We got a total of 92 big bales off the two fields we have and that is awesome, the most we have ever gotten in the 20 years we have lived here.
Yesterday, after a very long, hot and hard day on Saturday of getting all the hay raked, baled, a few bales moved, meals cooked, house cleaned, equipment breakdowns fixed, extra watering because of heat, Mike and I made it to church and Sunday School, got a few groceries, came home and ate more of the cold stuff I had made--chicken salad, macaroni salad, melon, grapes, and rhubarb custard bars and then we crashed on the couch and slept for a while! In the evening, we got out the side-by-side and went through the fields and tried to count the hay bales, but we kept coming up with a different number each time. Then we cruised over to the across-the-road neighbors to pay them for the trash bin we share, chatted with them for a while and then came home to watch the season finale of When Calls The Heart and then went to bed!
I didn't shower until I was done with that chore so I came in afterward and got my shower and my hair washed and by that time Mike came in and I made some calls about the insurance/hospital bill fiasco. Hoping fervently that we have his mom's IRS refund resolved--I guess we will know if we get the promised check in the six-eight weeks they estimated--now I am focused on getting this issue of the insurance company having recouped their payment for his ER and subsequent bills from last year's heat exhaustion resolved. I got to talk to someone this morning, after being in voice mail he-- for a bit and they were able to tell me it was because it was investigated as a workman's comp claim. But, it was denied--much to our dismay and disagreement! So, they are going to document that and research it further and are supposed to get back with us today or tomorrow. Good grief--bureaucracy!
Supper tonight will be grilled pork chops, corn on the cob and more of the macaroni salad. Rhubarb custard bars for dessert.
Jane, what a mess for your state and especially for your sweet Dawson and family! What a tragedy and here we are wishing for some rain. It's either feast or famine when it comes to heat and rain, it seems. So glad they are safe and didn't have personal damage and could be at home together!
Going to make myself do some dusting now. I can't sit still for long. If I do, I'm tired and sleepy enough now I would go to sleep and that would be too late for a nap.
Love to all, stay cool and safe!

For those of you that have FB and are interested, Daren has posted some of the flood pictures on his page on FB. If you do a search on his name, you should be able to see them. some they have sent to me on messenger, so those won't be able to be seen, but you will get the drift of things with these. In the last on taken with the drone with music, you will see a school and that would be the HS, Middle School, and elm. and they go by that every day - the part with the road washed out, is the road in front of the school they travel every day. Remember, how he spell's his name or rather how I spelled it when he was born, as there are more ways to do so, and I want you to be able to see his page.
