Hello, so if May 1st is May Day, what is May 31st? Good bye May Day or June Eve? Who knows?
There is coffee as well as pancakes, bacon, and eggs. BIL's kids are here, the Yeti is watching them as SIL is having a knee replacement this a.m. I am going out the door in a bit to learn how to play Mahjong. #1 and DIL know how to play so they were excited when they found out I was able to learn how. One of the ladies from book club is teaching us. Our next book is the Personal Librarian, it's been on my to-read list for a long time now.
Whatever I got into is worse, so I added that to my stuff to talk to the dr about when I go tomorrow. When I went to the other house to see what I could dig to transplant the mosquitos were so bad that I didn't dig. Just put some things in my car and away I went. After that I went to meet the tree guy and we rescheduled for Friday a.m. as we were now in a severe storm warning and my brother and sister told me they had hail ping pong ball size and bigger, crazy, but it's not snow!!!!

68 here. The skies are so blue.
Hard to believe May is gone. Went fast.
My little new baby Elijah is coming to visit.
I will take all the visits I can get.
Going to eat a omelet of eggs, celery n onion
and
some broccoli about 11.
Still undecided about heading to Florida, that
is if and when. I want to go and I don't want
to go:( Guess I will decide. Oh Laurie the
airlines gave me a voucher for all but 22$ of
My ticket. Have to you a year to use it.
DD says I need to be a snowbird.

A nice day here. Tomorrow & Friday temps. around 90, but no humidity. Might do a load of laundry today.

Laurie, I would say that May 31st, it Wednesday this year.  i sure don't miss being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Be careful.
Carolyn, how exciting to visit the wee one.
Cool and sunny this morning so I'm baking cookies. I'll take advantage what could be the last cool morning to bake. I've got a load of dark clothes in the washer and will go down and hang them on the lines. Then I'll start on the chocolate chip cookies. I'm hoping to bake a large batch and get some in the freezer. Nothing else planned for the day unless I get brave and head out on a small ride to nowhere.

Good morning grannies, it's sunshine, little breeze and very warm today wit the temp already at 80! Very low humidity so not uncomfortable at all. I was out to water my plants and the sun is really bright and hot. A good say to find a shady spot outside.
Debbie I was so pleased that your dm has improved and can be moved as soon as you find the place for her. Prayers continue that just the right place is available for her.
Laurie, sounds like you are busy, busy and busy! Take time to enjoy the summer school will start again all too soon! Those mosquitos must be terrible. Hope you get another chance to move the plants you want.
Carolyn glad to hear that the airline gave you a rebate now you can choose another time.
Just rehab for me today and the rest of the day to do whatever I decide to do. Wonder what that will be?

Good Morning Ladies - - - It's a lovely morning out but the humidity is suppose to be moving in. So far, I haven't opened up, except for the windows in this room that were open all night. It is very comfortable in here now, so thought I might just stay closed for awhile and not let the humidity in. I am back to PT this afternoon. That's about the only plan for the day, but I do still need to shower, as I am having a lazy start to the day. I couldn't get to sleep last night as my knees were hurting so, and moved to the chair for awhile and then back to bed when it was just getting light out. The paper will come today, so I can get my feet up and read that when I get back from PT. I doubt that it will take long - usually pretty skinny on a holiday week.
Laurie, hope the Dr. gives you something for the nasty stuff you got into! Sounds like a good breakfast at your house - It was just a muffin and banana here and the muffin was on the dry side even after reheating in the microwave for a bit.
Carolyn, glad to hear you got most of your money back for the ticket. I know seeing family is a winner anytime, but I would go for that snowbird thing too! Enjoy that little visitor today!
Debbie, it was so good to hear how much your mom had improved. I guess that shows us what the right and wrong meds can do with us. I hope that they are able to find an agreeable spot for the continuing therepy.

Good morning, another beautiful end of the month day!! Like many of you, it's warm, going to 90*, but the humidity is low. I'm liking it!! However, we do need rain. But, I'll take what I can get and one day at a time. I have a couple of rooms cleaned and that's it for cleaning today. It's coffee at the cabin this afternoon. It's usually cool in there so I will take my sweater.
DEBBIE I'm joining the other grannies is happiness for the improvement of your DM's health.
LAURIE I'll take one of each of your yummy breakfast offerings.
CAROLYN Enjoy life! Family is so important and special. And your family is growing with the sweet little, growing DGGS.
ICOOK Enjoy the sunshine. I bet Tinker is enjoying the sunshine on your deck.
MAMMA Can I steal a cookie or two? LOL I like having some in my freezer too, just in case someone comes or, just for me. :-)
GRAMMY Many days I feel like you do, what will I do? do I want to? do I have to?? Some days those feelings are ok with me and others not so good. I'm sure you'll find something to do. Do you have any sewing projects going on?
GREENBACK I turned the a/c on Monday when the kids were here. I don't keep it cold but it's really warming up outside and when I get home from coffee, I just might cool it down a bit. I'm sorry about the achy knees. I hope tonight will be more comfortable for you.
Time to think of something for lunch then go to the cabin.

Back from Mahjong, it looks like fun, but I'll definitely need to learn more. They are meeting on Tuesday at 9 a.m. to play. The Yeti took the kids out fishing, one has volleyball later and he'll take the others to their house to do their chores before coming back. I've got some things to plant, but for right now I think I'll go up in my space in a bit and get the bookshelf I got put where I want it to go. Still working getting it just the way I want it. The biggest thing I'm trying to figure out is a sewing table, I know what I'd like, now to just get it done. Holy cow but my hands are getting worse. If I didn't already have an appt tomorrow I'd be on my way to urgent care, I'm whining, I know.

The wind has picked up so the stuff on the lines should be dry already. I made peanut butter cookies today, I change my mind a lot. But before the cookies I added the salt to the softener. And I was not a good girl doing it the way I did and will pay for it later. The way I had figured would work did not so I need to come up with a better solution and not lift that 40 pound bag ever again.
Dishes are still in the sink waiting but it's time for brunch now so they will wait a bit longer. Most went in the dishwasher but some things don't fit in there so I need to wash them by hand. We just have an apartment size dishwasher, but it works for most of my needs.

I had a surprise visitor today. My cousin stopped by to bring me my pie plate from Easter when I made her a coconut custard pie. Started cleaning my oven racks. Don't think I'll get to the laundry today.
Jane I have a hard time at night falling asleep. Phone woke me up this morning. A telemarketer. Good thing it rang. My Meals On Wheels came shortly after.

Good afternoon, friends. Unfortunately, Mom’s improvement did not last and she is much weaker today with some other complications keeping her from OT and PT. After a long talk with the doctor, we are now looking for a facility that will provide hospice care for her. I agreed because it may very well be easier to find a facility for her to go to that way and they said if she improves more than expected, she can always come out of hospice care and become a facility resident under another classification. Regardless, it does t look like she will be returning to her little apartment she loves so much. She hasn’t been told yet, the doctor said he would do that. I still think she may just surprise us lol and rebound—that is my greatest prayer. Thank you for walking alongside me.

Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear that your DM is not still improving. I do hope you find a place nearby where she can get the care she needs and close enough for you to visit without a long drive. Prayers continue for dm and her loved ones.
